Living in a socialist-hole in South America

>Living in a socialist-hole in South America
>Felt for the 'Lack of Engineers' meme
>Graduated in the Automation area
>Simply no jobs, even for experienced people
>Already been to the US (1 year), but study only

What are my odds of getting anythin/g/ abroad? Will my CV be useless to pursue a job in my area?

move to south africa they need people desperately

Don't try to come here. People like me voted for Trump to keep people like you out.

Try South AFRICA like the other poster suggested.

>Living in a socialist-hole in South America
>Felt for the 'Lack of Engineers' meme
Chile?

He is probably talking about Brazil. Some extremists somehow thought we were under a socialist coup.

You should go to south africa

>wants to be an engineer
>studies Automation
You deserve it, dummy. Should've gone for one of the more traditional disciplines, like Electrical. If you're falling for the meme at least go full memelord, not some hipster shit.

Argentina, maybe?

Yeah OP South Africa is literally PERFECT for what you mentioned I'm surprised you didn't just go there directly to study

South Africa Unemployment Rate (2016) for Foreign Skilled Workers: 1%

They need you

>Automation
HUEHUEHUE nice meme degree you got there friend, you didn't think you'd take the easy road to riches by getting a pseudo-engineering degree, right?

Brazil lacks eletrical engineers; maybe mech engy can also land you jobs due to its versatility. Anything else is a waste of 5 years, sorry you fell for it.

I can confirm. I'm from El Salvador and I've been working in SA for 3 years now as an elec eng. I live in the nicest part of town and make WAY more money than I ever could have back home

>People like me voted for Trump to keep people like you out.
Too many hours watching CNN and MSM in general made you into that conclusion?

>nice meme degree you got there friend
>Brazil lacks eletrical engineers;
What a bunch of crap did I just read. Automation is not a meme, all areas under Engineering are in lack of work offer right now.

I thank you all for the South Africa recommendations, but I've been there and didn't see much differece from where I am. Between moving there and to the south of Brazil, I'd keep with the last.

>socialist-hole in South America

Venezuela?

I've been seeing a lot of posts lately about how south africa is Sup Forums heaven...not sure if it's a meme though?

HAHAHAHAHAH HE ACTUALLY WENT TO AFRICA THE MADMAN ABSOLUTE MADMAN

me samefagging

I highly doubt anyone here would want to go there, even for a 7-day trip.

He could be talking about ANY country in South America, literally.

I for one live in one that doesn't have a Computer Engineering career (even Venezuela does), that shows how much of a dumpster this sub-continent is.

If you're talking Software Automation, there are actually a decent amount of jobs in the US for it. Find yourself a recruiter/hiring agency, and they can set you up with someone. A lot of game and software companies are swapping to internal testing and automation teams. Older companies, especially, are really hungry for mobile automation. EA still doesn't have a dedicated Mobile QA branch for this reason. They still just use the same QA Testers as for console/PC at their QA locations for mobile testing too, and the managers for the devices are basically just glorified attendants. They lack any real automation software for loading new APKs/Firmwares/Etc automatically, or testing/certifying devices.

More than worrying about your CV, worry about your portfolio, and making yourself look hireable.

Whatever makes you sleep at night I guess. I'm currently working at a major electric utility company and making 5 figures a month. Every (real) engineer I know is enjoying similar success.

You've been rused by your university. I could immediately tell you were Brazilian when you said Automation, this shit isn't even a real degree in serious countries and only become a thing in here so universities could brag about how they're graduating more "engineers". Have fun with unemployment, at least you have Environment/Forest/Food/Physics "Engineers" to make you company.

How about aerospace
