Is it better than Chrome?

good launchers? (no KISS that shit is stupid and is incredibly awkward to use)

If you're a cuck then, yes

Clover is really fucking good.

nova

If you're going to be listening to podcasts, PocketCasts is the best, it just sucks its $5

>Can't play embedded videos, asks to download instead
>Can't stop a download
>There's no way to instantly delete all your history
>No way to set it not to save history
Why does this app suck so much, at least the dev could've put in some effort

4 bucks but it's worth it. Antennapod is enough for most people though.

I love the inverted option to make all white backgrounds black and text white BUT images also get inverted which sucks

Any good browsers which invert to make black backgrounds?

Flytube is a good so you can open YouTube clips from links in a moveable window which overlays other apps.

So you don't have to open up the YouTube app to watch a video.

NO ADS EITHER!

Hi.

Action Launcher 3 is really good.

no

No

Hello

Really should make their web client free to use. $10 is way too mcuh.

...

checked

meet

>no open in background

Textra kept telling me to install facebook

That's when I got rid of it

i am using smart launcher 3 pro, i don't like to have a lot of apps on my homescreen and the app drawer is sorted in categories that can be changed i think.

its very simple and minimal, so perfekt for my use

here's my list of essential stuff
>hacker's keyboard
>termux
>connect bot (redundancy with above mentioned)
>proxy droid
>Ghost Commander
>andFTP (ftp plugins in ghost commander aren't reliable)
>Gear Shift (superb transmission remote app)
>textra sms (thanks acmarket)
>k9 droid, it has some issues but I can't find any good open source alt.
>nova launcher
>Ango icons
>SU tweaks : amplify, greenify, powernap, betterbatterystats, sdmaid, uninstall sys apps
>drastic
>youtube xposed modules instead of newpipe
>clover
>firefox, even if it's slow because sync
>redmoon
>mupdf

any good alternative for quickpic? gallery on f-droid is crashes all the time.

Does anyone use any Terminal apps on their phone? Are they actually useful?

never been botehred, but again I use textra pro

That one gallery by the guy who makes franco.kernel

I still prefer quickpic, though

Forgot Adaway and VLC for upnp support.
That's it for my mandatory apps.
The rest is optional.

New Google Nexus launcher. per usual, only trust XDA downloads

xda-developers.com/googles-nexus-launcher-unofficially-available-for-download/

nice list. hacker's keyboard, connectbot, and proxydroid are essential for public hotspots.

i recently realized that my #1 app (besides actual phone stuff like signal/google voice) is FreeOTP. 99% of the time i just need to get a login code on the phone

yes. sometimes i get connection timeouts that setting the server firewall's TCP timeout limit didn't seem to fix. gotta work on it later

>connectbot with SOCKS port 9090 forward
>proxydroid SOCKS proxy to localhost:9090
>congrats you're now browsing privately

This

>any good alternative for quickpic?

not yet. just use the resigned version on XDA.

Nova is easily the best launcher.

Chrome and shit on Android. So probably

ofc, being a power user through terminal always feels nice.
However most of the stuff you'd want is already declined as a specific app that does that specific task (see connectbot for ssh).
But still, sometimes you want to run scripts, in my case I use the Automate app to enhance some automation stuff (Mi Home app, home server, torrenting, reminders, sms, LTE preservation because datacaps etc.) and some of the flows in Automate ends with "run the following command in terminal".

tl;dr : terminal apps make you look cool haxor 1337 on the go.

Firefox is okay. I used mobile Firefoxes since minimo/fennec and i fail to see the reason to switch to your oh-so-amazing lightning.

you can make ext4 partition on your sdcard and set up entire chrooted debian.
>useful
not really
>cool/nerdic
yes

it's fun to have your favorite 1337 hax0r spoofing tools in your portable device, it's also cool to run full x11 enviroment on it. if you need any "desktop" software, it's probably comfortable to use on powerful enough Android device.

>muh nigga

>Poweramp
>SD Maid (and pro)
>FX
>ViPeR for Android (equalizer ported from CM I think)
>Total Commander
>Xposed
>Google Keyboard cause custom Hitler theme
>Nova if you have the misfortune of VIBE UI
>Lightning
>SuperSU, sadly, not found another good superuser.
Honorable mentions:
>Fenix for Android (Twitter client, no polls support cause Twitter's policy on that is shit). Also TweetCaster and Talon.
>Mimi if you're feeling trash like me. Send the dev the bug reports if you want a thing fixed, don't complain on Sup Forums.

It's nowhere near as fluid as chrome

Just get bsplayer

ok here we go.

Your welcome.

examples/screenshots of what you can do with hacker keyboard???????????

IceCatMobile is superior

It's pretty much exclusively for running Linux VMs and apps that let you remote into a PC, like Moonlight. I use it to beam into my gaymen laptop from bed and the bathtub. Shit's cash.

>BB Hub
>BB Keyboard
>BB Calendar
god bless blackberries coming to android

leafpic?

the BB apps on Android aren't free.
coming from a Q10 I was happy to find BB hub and stuff but was disappointed to realize that it's trialware

Naked Browser can do this correctly.

Go to the built in app help & tap Night mode for instructions on creating a bookmarklet with the provided javascript. Seems you need to create a 'day mode' one as well because it doesn't toggle on my phone

what store/repo? google play store returns an app in early access

i'm using some kind of bb apps installer and it all seems to be pretty much free on my device. I've seen an ad couple of times, it had to be swiped like any other mail.

dis one

Textra is bae

Try and beat hello sms
Go ahead try

Are you retarded? Just tap a screen and you will have latest programs. Or you can change options so history will be always on screen.

>Google Keyboard cause custom Hitler theme

Do you have some screens?

n7 is the best music player by far.

anyone who listens by albums has no idea what the fuck they are missing.

I use this one called lucid and it's breddy gud

Yes, Firefox + this add-on: addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/dark-background-light-text/

It works wonders with customizable colors and per-site behavior.

just reading play store reviews made me run like hell from it

nova by far

>ebook, comic reader
Perfect Viewer

Make way for the true king.

i dont know this player

Still missing all the other basics functions I mentioned

Don't worry, it's a meme that has not been officially updated for a while now.

Swipe for Facebook is very good if you have at least KitKat

Dubdubs of curiosity checked.
Quads of reassurance checked.

Still looking for something like Clementine, but on Android.
>integrated internet radio subscriptions

>has not been officially updated for a while now
It's been updated less than a month ago.

Solid Explorer is the only good file manager.

That's not yubrowser

yes

That looks cluttered as fuck. I'll pass.

I deleted that shit for some reason I can't remember.

Also, that isn't Total Commander.

Why not just just use mini desktop and the full grid of your apps and cut the bullshit gimicky search altogether? I just reinstalled today and messed around a little more. Got it set up way better than round 1 but in the end it was still clunky shit that often glitched out on me anyway.

Even Firefox is better than chrome on Android.
>faster
>better UI
>better settings
Although lighting has an even better UI and I like that it has adblock + user agent switcher without the need for addons.

you sound like a fucking hipster

any good app+data backup apps that can be backed up to the sd card?

No

Pre-botnet Quickpic

>hacker's keyboard, connectbot, and proxydroid are essential for public hotspots.
How so? Educate me please.

Never updated and has annoying bugs

Lightning is better than Chrome but worse than YuBrowser. It's made by one person and it shows. It barely gets updates. And it still has annoying bugs like

>find in page something
>press enter
>inserts newline into search field instead of searching

lightning browser bothers me because it doesn't hide the top bar without being on Fullscreen mode

yubrowser is better although it sucks not being able to sign in and sync tabs with a dummy account

>What is Xplorer File Manager?

leafpic is fucking garbage

can I get the daily shoah on there?

Holy shit that's wonderful, I needed something like this

Hope it works on desktop firefox too

>All these plebs shilling yubrowser
>not using superior tuga browser

>tuga browser

that really is a good choice but these fags dont want it because its not in the play store.

why is this better than something like stitcher

not using opera masterrace
>low ram usage
>good interface
>built-in adblock

>built-in adblock
Yeah, running through their chinese bot servers. It also sometimes block ads and sometimes don't.

Fuck that.

>using a botnet browser

retarded

I agree

Why no MPV?

To the anons shilling yubrowser, why does it demand contact permission? Not even firefox or botnet chrome does

Looks like a fucking windows phone.

Plus why need a good music player when you listen to shit music

Chrome - coz I need sync and ff is shit on desktop

Ff instead of YouTube app for background listening without root and lost warranty

Clover reddit Evernote shuttle faceslim etc.

btw A5 2016 is the cat's meow
