How can one distro be so based?
How can one distro be so based?
>proprietary non-free software
0/10
>Successfully running Steam with our own runtime
Now in retard terms please.
What's the benefit of this for the end-user? eg a pleb like me
There isn't one.
>Solarized Dark
Opinion discarded.
Better performance for the end user in games.
Now the only issue is nvidia and AMD releasing good drivers.
>opinion discarded
And that matters why?
Go be an attention whore aomewhere else.

How did deepin get so popular?
Am I reading this wrong? It sounds like they substituted some libraries used by Steam for some other libraries made by themselves-- but it sounds like libraries used by the platform, not the games, so.. why? Does this in any way impact game play?
Increased performance, but only by like 1-5%.
I remember seeing benchmarks comparing it to Ubuntu and steam is, but I don't remember where I saw them. I'll try looking for the source.
I'd like to see this. Even if only 5%, it's still free performance.

I'm pretty sure Direct X is still dominating the gay men market. Sounds like they only optimized steam.
>Rather than having non-optimized ubuntu libraries from Steam's runtime.
How does steam even perform badly to begin with? It's basically just a web browser.
>openSUSE
>anywhere except a trash bin
No.
I would get like 5 more frames when running with the native runtime. Its not hard to do, but there isn't much benefit.
Solus
>5 more frames
That's pretty decent though, considering it's just free performance.
>a literal botnet embedded in the kernel
>"based" distro
