Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a 144hz monitor but I don't know which one is better. Is it worth it to pay more and get the Asus?

This is also an option guys, but I am just not sure which one is best

Do you got an AMD card?

I have a gtx 1070

>Acer GN246HL

I heard that one has issues with ghosting.

>newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236721&ignorebbr=1

why would you buy a non 144hz tn monitor?

Then Frreesync would not work with those monitors.

I'm currently using this, its possibly the best TN panel 144hz you could use (Accurate Colors and Brightness level)

Pic Related. My pc

But I think the Asus one might worth it a bit more, seeing the newegg reviews

post wallpaper desu

What ever you get. Get asus

Here you go nigga

so the MG248Q is the best option here?

I personally think that 24 inches is the largest you should go when looking for a 1080p monitor, unless you sit really far away. I'd go for that MG248Q Asus personally, looks really solid for the price even without an AMD card.

can you recommend an IPS senpai?

Also 1080 vs 1440 pros and cons?

I have PG278Q 1440p 144hz g sync TN and it's great
Several games run at 144hz, and g sync helps those that dont

I cannot vouch for the Asus one but LG 24GM77 is one of the most underrated monitors out there
tomshardware.com/reviews/lg-24gm77-gaming-monitor,4082.html

Technically there aren't any cons for 1440p expect the prices

What price range? Theres a big difference between a good 100 $IPS and a good $300 IPS

Thanks B0$$. let me know if you want anything back

I think its out of his price rance. That monitor is $600 while he was posting monitors between 180-250

I think you get better mileage playing games at 1080p with higher fps/more effects with some 2xMSAA/FXAA, rather than at 1440p.

yeah thats way over my budget haha, I'm looking something no more than $250

price is no object. Just want something to last me 5 years

Ohhh I would take the top right and the Wallpaper.jpg if its possible. Both seems comfy

bestbuy.com/site/asus-24-led-fhd-monitor-black/8767099.p?skuId=8767099

Any thoughts on this one? the price seems really good, so do the reviews

wow thats an amazing collection pls share

Well I paid $450 for mine refurbished and I'm willing to bet he paid $450 for his 1070

>d take the top right and the Wallpaper.jpg if its possible. Both seems comfy

Got this from /g a while ago. currently using it as my wallpaper

>.jpg
This is essentially what you get if you google "wallpapers"

...

gimme 1471809055724.jpg

If you have no budget get the Asus PG279Q
165hz IPS I love mine.

Yeah I did, which is exactly why I can't pay that much anymore, I'm broke nigga.

cant tell if funposting

no one's forcing you to download them.

im srs user if you can upload them to imgur, its a good collection, assume they are all high res?

what about this one guys?

newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009728

Here you go senpai. I think this is a great value for the price.

You wouldn't go wrong with either Asus or my LG. I recommend checking out some reviews.

Yeah, OP is kinda a weird position. The 1070p kinda feels like a 1440p @ 60/144hz) card. Not really that bad decission, still weird

Thanks senpai, saved

thanks user, anyone else who needs wallpapers can go to unsplash.com to get really good ones

IBM one looks super cozy

do NOT get the acer monitor

Most of them are sort-of high res

Seen it posted quite often on the 4chins lately

I'm gonna go with this one guys, thanks for help

DONT DO IT

>old panel type
>Horrible colors

damn, i guess its time to cancel order

Got baited by that juicy price

Yeah it was revealed 4 years ago, and even then the panel type was from 2010-2011.

It has a 6bit panel type (It displays way less colors... Modern monitors have 8bit ones.)

The ASUS MG248Q set to switch it out finally

Is there any monitor that doesn't come with matte coating? That filter really destroys the colors and makes me unable to perceive things as well.

>Paying for g sync

You realize that at 144hz, he cannot use g sync or free sync anyway.

The monitor you posted, though TN, is going to be your best bet

The MG248Q is not functioning. Freesync causes the image to be shifted 3 pixel rows upwards (the lowest 3 rows are simply black, meaning that the highest 3 rows of pixel of the monitor is offscreen, just cut off).
This panel also seems to become fucking unstable or whatever above 100 Hz. You can see a fine horizontal stripe pattern and sometimes rolling horizontal lines. Although other high refresh rate monitors also seem to have this.

none of the reviews online mentioned this. It seem to be general flaw of the monitor. Returning it for a new one doesn't seem to work as all monitors apparently have the same problem.

thoughts, ideas? on a scale of 1 to garbage how is it?

Not mine but friend has one of this
newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAC4Z5241544&cm_re=lg_ultrawide_monitor-_-24-025-424-_-Product

Its a beauty, even the black levels are awesome even for an IPS

The BenQ seems a bit worse, seeing the user ratings both newegg and amazon

>34" ultra wide
>2560*1080
>$600

Your friend is also mentally handicapped

This is one of my personal all time favorites. I have had this picture for a VERY long time in my wallpapers folder
