Evo 850 worth it? Anything I should know?

Been very happy with 840 for about 3 years so far

Good deal, 840 is aging. You're going for the 500gb for $130?

Why does 500GB for 130 not seem like a great deal?

because its been that prince for months now?

pcpartpicker.com/list/JQK9tJ
I'm thinking of either buying the i5 6600k with the mb, RAM and the cooler, or the GTX1060, or the SSD.
I already have a horribly outdated Phenom II X4 955BE I'm thinking I could OC some more, a pretty bad HDD which is slowly dying, and a GTX770 3GB

>current build is at $1082
>really wanted to stay not sure whether to wait for Cyber Monday and hope for a combined $80+ discount or call it now and begin ordering
FUCK WHAT DO I DO.

Is it true larger SSDs have a higher early fail rate?

That's what I thought.

Obviously you should wait. Monday is right around the corner. Have some patience

Anyone know if prices will drop further as the weekend goes on, up to Cyber Monday? Or are the prices listed set in stone for the whole weekend?

Thinking of picking up a 1070 for $560 CAD, and potentially a second monitor for $300, both are $80 off their original price. Should I wait and see if the price drops further or just go and pick them up?

>1060 for $365

A lot of the deals now are for today only. I don't know whether it's worth passing on okay-deals now for potentially-great deals Monday. It's a tough call.

Any decent deals on microphones?

Is there anything worth between the $10 Zalmann tier and the $50 Snowball? I didn't want to spend much more than $25

Thank you very much

is this dodgy?

Just picked up 2 of these.

Quick question: do I need an external power supply for that if I'm using it with a desktop PC?

>implying I'm paying those prices
It's way cheaper in my country. Never used pcpartpicker before, friend? :)

Let's talk monitors!

I need a new one.

>literally nothing worth a fuck on sale
Sage

I still need to find a job so i'm too poorfag to be buying nice deals :(

But what if the things I buy are even cheaper Monday

>manga is not on sale
>rare charger I need for laptop is not on sale
What am I even supposed to buy?

They post this stuff regularly. I never used it, but have seen people do it.

just use mommys credit card like me lmoa

Gonna get a pair of 10g NICs. Either Chelsio or Mellanox.
Any deals on old chinkpads? Is the older Chromebook Pixel worth it?
Feels like no great deals this time 2bh

>tfw missed the 750gb crucial ssd for $120

fuck me, are there any other ssd deals? 500gb or so for $100?

>tfw evga 1060 3gb for $170

Is there anything right now of the things you want to buy that has a crazy sale/discount? If not, wait till Monday.

It was $100 and sexy as fuck. Had to fucking click buy now like 3 times before it processed it

You can get a 480GB Sandisk SSD for Jet for $70.

Let's.

I'm looking for a glossy 144hz (1ms reaction time?) monitor that won't rape my wallet. Any ideas?

1ms is a marketing gimmick dude.

I guess, it's a powerful microphone

>But what if the things I buy are even cheaper next year

I didn't put it on the top of the list for a reason, but thanks.

WHY THE FUCK ARE THERE SO MANY DIFFERENT MOBO MODELS
I CAN'T FUCKING FIND OUT WHAT THE DIFFERENCES ARE EXCEPT COLORS
RRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

what gpu do i buy

i just want 380x performance for the lowest price

How'd I do?

same, no clue what the difference is, bought the cheapest one with the adapters I need.

Any good >1080p monitors on sale?

brb going to frys

anyone have any mobo recommendations? seems like every ASUS review I read is filled with either pople praising it as 10/10, or people claiming it dies after a month
I have no idea what to believe

Implying you use a pin for one credit card purchases

i want to pick up an external hard drive, which ones should i look into? should i go ssd? anything 500GB-1TB is sufficient.

Get a promo code email before leaving. Get the associates in whatever department to print out the quotes for you before checking out - will save you time at checkout because the promo codes don't work there for some reason. Fry's trying to jew you.

Anyone seen any good headsets?

What the fuck, I thought there was going to be huge sale on micro sd cards.

Where are the sales for memory cards?

Some support SLI/Crossfire, others don't. Just find your core features, a lot of it is excessive GAM3R bullshit.

What are you looking at?

1060 or AMD equivalent (I think its the 480?) if you're 1080p.

amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-Android-MicroSDXC-Frustration-Packaging/dp/B013UDL5HU/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1480101343&sr=1-1&keywords=ultra 128gb

You can also try mymemory.com/.co.uk.

are you retarded?

rightstufanime is selling manga/LN for 9.70 instead of usual 13/15 dollary doos

amazon.ca/Sennheiser-HD-598-Cs-Headphone/dp/B01JP436TS/ref=gbps_img_m-6_50bc_9c1abba4?smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&pf_rd_p=e0161acf-b349-4c9f-a09e-15e6603e50bc&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-6&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=2055586011&pf_rd_m=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&pf_rd_r=GXDZVGWK7NV6MVM5X5VB

Yea, sucks. Best deal I found was a 32gb for $7 at Fry's after rebates. Wanted a 128gb card for something like $25.

so whats a good mic if im getting a pair of headphones instead of a headset?

i was thinking blue snowball + arm, but i dont do recording professionally/as a hobby

Almost every board supports crossfire, even shitty ones where it makes no sense since AMD doesn't have a license fee like Nvidia does with SLI.

pcpartpicker.com/list/JQK9tJ
This is what I'm currently thinking of buying
(I'll probably just buy the CPU, mobo, RAM and cooler though).

I'm thinking of getting the ASUS Z170P instead of that Pro gaming stuff.
pcpartpicker.com/product/9L2rxr/asus-motherboard-z170p

and no, the prices are different in my country, so ignore them

That is what I use minus the arm. Works great, just sort of sits there as a ball on my desk.

CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W - $30 off making it $50
AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5 GHz $25 off making it $85
i'm thinking of going ahead with the power supply, i'm slowly amassing parts for a computer because wagecuck job means i can't afford to get it all at once unless i take from a car funds. Alternativly put the money i would spend on that into the car fund and just wait on my parts till like, christmas

Who is this cute boy?

Got a g502 for DKK 299 today from elgiganten, i think they still have those in stock. Just a heads up for my danebros.

didnt mean to reply to user

Where are the $10 phone deals like last year?

Is this year extra shit? Everyone seems to be going on about that $100 750gb SSD but that's it and hell I've already bough 1TB 850 EVOs off of craigslist for $180 so couldn't care less about that.

thanks for the reply

Thanks for the link, I saw the 128gb one earlier its sitting at $30 here in the us. Might grab it or a 64gb. I also find it weird there are no massive deals on ds cards considering how popular they are

I got excited when I saw a 32gb Sandisk for $10 but I'm sure that's just how much they are everyday.

That's a girl, surprisingly.

Looks fine.

Here's an alternative if you want SLI, possibly cheaper if you get rebates where you live.

pcpartpicker.com/product/8q38TW/gigabyte-motherboard-gaz170xpsli

i have the moto E, is good phone for my uses, not enough memory for all my shitty games and apps though, i tried to force it to recognize the SD as internal memory but android 4.4 wont allow it

>what is a gift card

Any tablets worth getting?

I see the Ipad for 275 which is pretty good but I prefer Android tablets generally.

Any other deals on this space?

Samsung 750 EVO 500gb is down to the same price as 850 250gb. Good deal or not?

Not in burgerland.

>Amazon/Newegg
>Intel i7-6700K Skylake CPU
>$300

Idk if I should pull the trigger on it. I don't have any other components to this build I'm thinking of doing soon.

Generally no.

You'll buy it and use it for a few weeks and then it will get forgotten about.

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card in my gaming PC, and I'm currently using a Radeon HD 7800 Series.

I have a 1080p 144hz monitor.

Would a GTX 1070 be overkill?

Despite this being a prebuilt, is this good for the price?
amazon.com/iBUYPOWER-AM600i-Gaming-Desktop-i5-6400/dp/B01KW42TSY/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

Also, how about this?
amazon.com/FX502VM-Gaming-Laptop-NVIDIA-i5-6300HQ/dp/B01LXO0PO2/ref=br_prlt_slcty_pdt-1?_encoding=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-6&pf_rd_r=X1N147B2G78HCRYH938G&pf_rd_r=X1N147B2G78HCRYH938G&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1b7629e9-7c21-4add-bf23-611ae24d8fc1&pf_rd_p=1b7629e9-7c21-4add-bf23-611ae24d8fc1&pf_rd_i=15576689011

They're shit for actual use but for $10 there's a bunch of stuff you can do with them. I use one as a Kodi remote and the other two for home automation.

Personally I agree, but this is for relatives, who actually use their tablets nonstop. They don't own smartphones.

Strange I know, but I work with what I've got.

No. The point in using SSDs is the speed, and secondarily for vibration resistance. Your external hard drive isn't going to be used moving around, it's going to be in use while sitting on your desk, or on a table at starbucks. Go for space over speed. The entire thing will be crippled by the USB speeds anyway. yes, there is the USB ᛊᛊ (Super Speed), which goes up to 5 gigabit... but really, with the USB overhead, you're looking at 4 gigabit, and the designers of USB3 claim it's realistic to expect 3 in real world terms. Basically, using an SSD in an external case would be wasting it.

i just use my for calls, text, and quick coupon pull ups. so yeah, pretty decent for normie use without spending an ass load.

it would be optimal

What's your headset of choice, boys and girls?

main reason i thought ssd would be so it doesnt crap out, always hear stories of external drives kicking the bucket after a few months and that would be a huge bummer. ty

Looking for a monitor to mount vertically, and I can't find anything under $250 with mount.

I want to buy a laptop. What can i buy for around $200 with 4GB ram and 2.5ghz cpu? Cheers

I actually just made nearly the same list about an hour before you posted. Nice taste in CPU and mobo.
What case are you planning on rocking?

You'll be going for one of the winbook boxes that compete with chromebooks. For that price.

They top out at 4GB of RAM. You could also go for one of the chromebook ones, but be more careful you don't accidentally get something with an ARM

Holy fuck, it's garbage dump Friday
So many dollar store electronics

Sales used to be better than this where quality items used to actually get markdowns.

>main reason i thought ssd would be so it doesnt crap out,
Umm. SSDs crap out as well man. I'ts just the nature of the beast. Everything will have some amount of failure.

newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009909

WHATS WRONG WITH IT. I feel theres something wrong with it, should i hold out for an monitor that has an ips panel? Is that even worth it i dont even know what an ips panel is ffs help.

I'm thinking I'll replace the mobo with either
pcpartpicker.com/product/GRvZxr/msi-motherboard-z170akraitgaming3x or
pcpartpicker.com/product/9L2rxr/asus-motherboard-z170p
I'm not sure though. The ASUS Z170P is pretty damned cheap in my country.
And I already have a decent CM case I've had for at least ten years; I won't be replacing it any time soon.

read this shit has huge sequential write issues
performance drops down to HDD levels if the file is large enough

need good chair with neck and lumber support pls halp

Any good hard drives or SSDs on sale?

Any chances of decent deals on GTX 980s?

how good is it in terms of distance and blocking your monitor? is it possible you can show a pic of where it stands?

im not sure where to place mine, behind in front or to the left of my keyboard.
