UTorrent 2.2.1

just switched to qBittorrent after decade of using utorrent

holy shit the difference is literally day and night in terms of disk usage.

qBittorent is much more gentle to disk usage its insane

old utorrent will fuck your disk up if you have fast download speeds 50mbit+

Made a good choice

Been trying to compile 3.3.7 on Sierra since they haven't released a .dmg for it yet.
I've gone through the GitHub page and found that a user named "yezezey" uploaded an unofficial .dmg, but his account was deleted.
And now qt4 apparently can't be installed through homebrew on Sierra.

tl;dr how do I compile 3.3.7 on Sierra?

qbittorent is actually very good

too bad it is fucking banned on some private trackers

fucking why

utorrent would always give me: disk usage 100% errors and stall all downloads

qbittorrent speed is actually a bit slower which is probably why it doesnt give a disk usage error but it's worth it

>faster releases are promised
>3.3.7 for a fucking year already

ayyyyyyy

What's the difference between qbittorrent and deluge?

one is written in python, the other actually has good performance

>one is written in python, the other actually has good performance
t. someone who believes memes

My experience with them has been that python is much more proactive in downloading and seeding. Also enough with the >python
it doesn't actually make deluge run slow or anything

>tl;dr how do I compile 3.3.7 on Sierra?

Would also like to know this. The Mac version has been neglected for so long.

The fuck are you on about?
3.3.5 came out in June.
3.3.6 came out in July.
3.3.7 came out in September.

Only a couple months (if that) between releases.
Unlike JewTorrent etc. they don't need a new build every 24 hours to include newer adware.

one gets your torrents stalled
the other is slow
>qStalled
>good choice

qStalledMeme master race reporting in.

Who gives a shit what torrent u are using faggot

No shit

uTorrent is complete garbage, qBittorrent is god tier

I miss using RSS to download.
My chinktoons backlog fills more easily because I forget that the feature is broken.

My RSS downloader works perfectly in 3.3.6 for Mac. Why don't you just stick with that?

All the feeds disappear every time I start 3.3.6, this is the first time I've heard somebody else's 3.3.6 working.
Are you also on Sierra?

>stalled

i'm having trouble with mine qbit - it's deleting started torrents after close. i did not change anything from the settings

open both clients in any kind of monitor software and you'll see deluge use up to 10x times more CPU cycles

I'm still on 3.2.5
Do the new versions have anything worth upgrading to?

>been using Utorrent for over 10 years
>no problems
>it just werks

Not the most appropriate thread, but I guess it's better to ask here than open a new one.

I haven't been able to access tpb for over a month. Yet it seems to have been up: pirates-forum.org/misc.php?page=tpbstatus

So I guess the problem is mine, although I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Accessing from http gives a 404 error.
Accessing from https used to work, but now browsers won't let me in, as they say the connection is not secure. I've tried firefox, firefox nightly and chrome.

How do I bypass this?

Yes, it works.

But it has shitty ads all over the place

True, but a quick Google® will show you how to delete those line items from the config. To each his own :=°]

Where do you live?
>pirateproxy.vip/
Does this work for you?

Idk, it works fine on my PC..

>people still use utorrent even after their shady tactics

>pirateproxy.vip/
It does, thanks a lot.

What's the cause then? IP blocked because of where I live? My ISP being a dick?

I live in northern Spain, Europe.

If
thepiratebay.org/browse/
does not work, try changing your DNS.

Yandex.DNS:
77.88.8.8
77.88.8.1

Did that and it still doesn't work.

I'll continue using the proxy site for now. Again, thanks.

>yandex

Just use opennic

Was a suggestion of a DNS which I know does not block anything. If it would have worked, s/he could have used whatever s/he wanted.

>500MB
those are just trailers, right? nobody would compress a complete movie down to 500MB, right? RIGHT?

YIFY 720p :3 They look good.

>utorrent
>yify
>720p
>vlc
Livin the meme

Idk, it works (: VLC is the best player.

Use what you want, but we all know that isnt true. You watch yify shit so I know you dont care about quality. Try and play 4K or a 20GB 1080p remux and let me know how it works for you.

Quality-wise, they're all the same: VLC, MPC-HC and even the meme MPV. There's no difference between them.

Format support VLC is superior. Can even play broken files, compared to the other two which either crash or return errors.

Since this is somewhat related, are there any guides for torrenting thru VPNs?

>Quality-wise, they're all the same

Lies! And how are those remuxes working for ya?

>torrenting thru VPNs
Why would you do that? Leave the shithole you're living in, if it doesn't respect your freedom.

Idk, it plays just fine 1440p60fps fraps uncompressed. So that's should be an indicator that it does just fine.

Its not, because vlc couldnt play a file mpv and mpc-hc could. I was even using a high end pc.

I have a 3770k, 32GB RAM, 780ti and an Intel 530 SSD. Fairly old PC by now, and all players are able to play 1440p60fps which was probably more than 60GB in size (stored on a hHDD). I don't know what high end PC you're using.. but your problem may be between your chair and your keyboard.

played fine in mpv

Nothing like that happens on my PC, regarless of player.
