I've used Spybot Anti-beacon and you can search how to disable metro apps through a powershell script (CCleaner is also able to uninstall metro apps through GUI)
What does webm open with without Edge. I would check that you can open without the browser or make sure you aren't opening it with notepad or something dumb
If you don't you can do a password reset without using the windows disk or other messy recovery options. The flip is a lot of likely unwanted integration. Last thing you want is a cloud sync if you need to reset your system.

1. Get the licence key from your laptop using something like speccy 2. Enter the key on your computer 3. If it fails to activate, run "slui.exe 4" and activate using the phone. If asked how many devices are activated using that key, choose 1. 4. ??? 5. Profit

Why does Spotify use that Title+Artist+Next/Previous bar next to the Volume bar* (I don't know what to call it) and WMP doesn't? *it appears when you listen to music in spotify and change the system volume, it's an overlay and you can play/pause and next/previous in it
