Just bought a VisionTek RX 470. Was originally going for Sapphire, but saved $40 trying something new.

Exactly the same as you, lad.

Beautiful what motherboard, cpu etc..?

two of those in sli

Z97 Gaming 5
4690k @4.4Ghz

doesn't the 1070 - titan x become idle when sli while the other does all the work?

no

I need to upgrade my cpu but everything else it ok

geforce.com/whats-new/articles/watch-dogs-2-dead-rising-4-steep-game-ready-driver

MSI 750 Ti

What's that CPU be slowing you down in? Just curious.

I render videos mostly im looking ino a i7 6700k

390x housefire edition

Still an old 7970
best purchase ive ever made, its like 4 years old

I bought the same card for $365

290x, waiting for 1080ti

Oh ok. The 6700k would be a pretty big boost then. I didn't even pay attention to the fact that the 3820 was also 4C/8T. For some reason I thought it was 6C/12T like the 3900 series.

A sick 8400GS. I have this bad boy since 2008.

cable porn goddamn
what case

im about to buy a 1050 ti for about $115 cause im a dirty poorfag. not the best but i'll really need to wait until i can get better parts later. i'm wondering if i should just get an rx 470

Asus Strix 1070

R9 290

Vega is happening

A 1050ti can run most things anyway you may as well just save for a 1060 instead of going for 470 straight away.

XFX 390X and happy as fucc with it

same 1070 gaymang exxXxx but by niggabyte

MSI GTX 980. I got it last year when I built my new rig and kind of wish I waited a little bit for the new cards. I have been thinking of getting a second one for SLI to make up for the performance gap. Some games are starting to have some trouble running everything on ultra, although that could be shitty optimization. What do you guys think? Should I try to find a second 980 for SLI?

The pci cables are a bit messy but I couldn't be bothered to sew them together and I really don't like the look of cable combs.
The case is a nzxt s340.

My wife makes Bucks75/hr on the laptop. She has been unemployed for eight months but last month her income with big fat bonus was over Bucks9000 just working on the laptop for a few hours. Read more on this site========= ????www.who-boss.com

EVGA 1080 SC with the housefire cooler, switched the bios to the jet engine one.

Sitting here wondering what 1060 should I get is what I'm rocking.

Just bought a 1060. I was going to get a 1070, but I don't have a gaming monitor and I kinda want to see how DX12 and Vulcan performance plays out before I commit to a more expensive card.

A 6gb one with 2 fans

Any mounter pretty much works the same. EVGA is shit at cooling, Gigabyte always has the fans running and MSI is loud as fuck

Nice color, why not red fans?

So, Palit GeForce GTX 1060 6GB Dual?

I don't really know/trust any other brand besides the ones mentioned

If anything, KFA2 is another Nvidia approved mounter.

I wouldn't cheap out on the monter after you're already spending quite a bit and the price differences between them are minimal

Help me Sup Forumsents.
RX 460 or GTX 1050 Ti?

Looking for a good deal on 1070 GTX that a ships to Australia
>Looking at all those rebates and coupons I can't get hurts my ass

Just bought a 1070 Asus Strix.

It should handle 1080p 60hz gaming with ease, but when i upgrade my monitor, i will have to upgrade my 2500k too.

Btw, my 1070 costed
650 dollars
Fuck living in a shitstain third world country with absurd importation taxes.

no just wait for vega and upgrade to AMD like any sane maxwell owner will.

Bought this bad boy on black friday, it's arriving tomorrow.

I'm still running my windforce 680.
Still does everything I want, so why upgrade?

>a bit messy
wtf i hate you now

But for real though what the fuck are you talking about? Whole thing looks perfect senpai, maybe you just need your eyes checked?

RX 480 8GB

If you don't have enough money for that than shouldn't think about buying hardware for video games.

asus r9 290x hellfire edition

Okay m8, thanks.
But third world country prices tho. :c

That exact card. Samsung VRAM too, rather than Micron trash.

>Samsung VRAM
>On a 1070

Didn't find any where I live, honestly.

Dunno man, the pcie cables could be perfectly aligned. But that's probably only my OCD.

It arrives tomorrow.

thats a really cool looking box

What's the point of the rx 480 above the 4gb model if the 8gb is only like 20 bucks less than a way more powerful fury?

>bought a 1060 to upgrade from a 770
>€314
>hardly play demanding games

I can't say I really regret it, this card will suffice for my current needs for a few years.

Pic related

>buy a 1070
>hardly play anything other than cs:go
:/

Anyone recently buy a Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1? If so, do you have Samsung or Micron memory?

Trying to get an idea of what the newer batches are using.

Thats not an RX480

That why I bought this as soon as I saw it, theres a 20 dollar rebate too so its really only 240, its a no brainer

As long as the vendor has released the vbios fixing it, both perform identically.

Wow, just came in 30 minutes ago.

I feel the same, I also tend to wait for steam says so most of my games are almost a year old by the time I play them.

anyone know how much the 1080ti will cost?

OC performance similar?

My understanding was that samsung performed better than micron, even after the BIOS updates fixing the power supply issues with micron chips.

Or is this just one of those "the internet just likes to start an argument over nothing" kind of claims?

Bought a Sapphire 390X myself for christmas last year, it'll last me at least another few years because I'm not upgrading to meme 4K displays. I have a 144hz 1080p Freesync monitor that I really like. Really like this current setup and don't even want to upgrade due to change.

sli is the biggest waste of money and electricity you can fall for. some games don't even support it and even then it's a horrible idea.

My 390x never goes above 72 C when under full load for extended periods of time. Even with my overclocked 8350 it's not even enough to warm up a chilly room.

No idea who's ass you pull this house fire meme out from. I thought Nvidia's new cards were running super fucking hot though.

SLi scaling, outside of anything but synthetic benchmarks, is absolutely awful this generation.

It has received almost no software support. SLI, outside of enthusiast builds specifically designed for benchmarks, is going the way of the dinosaur.

After the update there were significant improvements, but I have no idea how much compared to the samsung modules.

>Or is this just one of those "the internet just likes to start an argument over nothing" kind of claims?
That pretty much applies for anything, really.
Take a look at the EVGA case. Some cards were reported for exploding caps and then everyone thought it had something to do with the VRMs overheating because they had no active cooling, when in reality it didn't... It was just a manufacturing issue on some cards.

that fin array is hueg

currently using an r7 250, will be getting a gtx 1060 for my new build

I'm using a GTX295 still runs decent for most source games which is all i can afford cuz poor fag

using this with 8GB of DDR2 + Core2quad ES i think it like a Q9450 or similar :)

Currently sporting pic related

Been wanting to switch to a GTX 1070 recently since this things been giving me some driver issues. I found it for like 400, don't know if I should switch or not though

The one I was looking at

Did you not hear about the non samsung memory catastrophe with the GTX 1070 of any brand? It's worse than the 3.5gb meme.

Bios update fix that.

about tree fiddy

r9 fury or a 1060?

>memory doesn't overclock that well before vbios update
>it's a catastrophe xDDD

The fury. For only 240 I am very happy.

I was told the 1070 was gimped by the chinese is it true?
Something to do with micron memory rather than samsung

how about shit memory controllers causing fires

1060 6GB.
It's bretty gud tbqfh

lolwut

The only cards that "caught fire" had defective capacitors.
What the fuck are you talking about nigger?

How the fuck can a memory controller ever catch fire? Are you retarded?

Bought a 780 2 years ago £390 and it's still a great card and easy to oc with Afterburner, it can max out most games at 1080, I made quite an aggressive fan map and it never goes over 72% but fan noise still not an issue, today’s equivalent is probably a 1070 and the 1070 would probably best it.

They caused the shit memory to go bad. Caught fire is an extreme meme but does it matter if you have artifacts on a new card it may as well caught fire.

The VRMs caught fire not the memory nor the controller. Also this only affected EVGA because they cheaped out on a proper heat sink and only placed the copper plate directly on the gpu.

970 and a fx6300

Very soon to have an i5 6600k. (Got the RAM, and CPU, just need the motherboard.)

MSI recalled all 1070s in China, it's not just EVGA

Bought a 1070 on sale. I only play Elite Dangerous but making space prettier is really important to me because it sure as hell isn't the developer's content keeping me interested.

Asus strix 1070.
The card was unexpectedly big and barely fit in my R2 case.

470 is the sweet spot rn, get it

my msi gaming 6g 1060 clocks to 2114 anyone beat that?

Faggots..

That's not even related. Why are you spreading bullshit?
MSI recalled the cards because they had faulty memory modules. Nothing else.

Which is completely unrelated to the VRMs on EVGAs.

VRMs have to do with power delivery, in case you don't know.

Why is sli support so terrible? With the emergence of 4k I think it would be great so we can finally have 4k @120fps with certain sli setups.

Is it really that hard to implement? Dices frostbite engine is like. The funding best. It uses 8+ cores and multi gpu setups. If they did it, why can't others follow suite?

Just bought pic related

Oh, and btw... Only 0,01% of the 1070s were recalled in China.

does it perform similar as the samsung counterpart?

I'm happy with mine at 1950 or whatever, don't feel like overvolting yet.

Usually people can get about 600Mhz out of Samsung memory. Some posts I've read on various site have been reporting more than 500Mhz OC on Micron after the bios update, so yes.

figgit

Got the same right after RX 480 came out. Was waiting for it, but then realized that the prices are gonna be fucked for Europe, so I decided I'd go a notch higher with 1080p 144Hz.

Feels pretty great after using a shitty mid-range ASUS laptop for the last 4 years.
