What cards are hot shit right now?

I've been out of the loop for a bit now

Amd 480
Nvidia 1070

Gt420

RX 480

When will the RX 490 come out? Or is AMD not getting involved in the high-end market this season?

Titan xp

EVGA 1070s

These two are the only real gpus worth considering this gen

RX 480
Really the best price to performance of any card we've seen in quite a bit.

For budget performance: RX480
For good performance: 1070
For great performance: 1080

GTX 1060 made all the 900 and 700 series cards obsolete. Game devs have jewed us by making cards need more power while not delivering any better graphics.

RX 490 on release

Lots of rumor and speculation in that regard. I suspect they won't announce anything until the January CES, although there is a slight chance there will be a quick announcement this week during the public Zen event.

If AMD does launch RX 490 before the end of the year, it will be a highly binned dual GPU Polaris 10 card. It makes very little sense for them to launch the 490 at this point though, given how close Vega 10 is.

Vega 10 is likely to be announced at the January CES, with public availability a month later, and my guess is that it will launch as the 500 series.

The 1080 is fighting with the 1070 because, for $250 more the 1080 doesn't offer much more than a 1070
If you're in the high-high-end, you should actually wait for the 1080ti or something
But yeah, 480 for lower price and 1070 for higher price

Definitely 480

beat me to it.
nothing else comes close.

>it will be a highly binned dual GPU Polaris 10 card
rumors say the rx490 will be 2x rx470 jammed into a single chip.

i went with a r9 390x because diamond multimedia, i didn't want to buy from any other make. did i goof?

Love when 1070 owners claim this. Theres a 25% ( thats a quarter) difference.
The 1080 card or titan are the current, the ti will be out when amd announce the 490 and the ti will sit between the 1080 and titan, they have intentionally made it so as not to disrupt 1080 and titan sales

i got a nitro 480
did i do good
i was thinking of reselling it, here in aus i could probably still get like 300-320 bucks and put that towards the 600-650~ 1070

is it worth it? or should i just stick with my boyz amd and buy a 144hz monitor instead

>diamond multimedia
didn't know they were still around. anyways that shroud looks exactly like the HIS version.
