this has been my main computer for the past year and a half.
it does everything i want it to.
it came free of bloatware
it was relatively cheap and easy to acquire and setup.

what do you think of a person like me, Sup Forums?

i forgot to state that i love it, that was supposed to be an important part of what i thought of it.

also that i bought it at walmart

it wouldn't be bad if it wasn't for that ugly ass logo.

Your taste is your taste and no one can judge you for that, OP.

helllllo reddit

:^)

bought it new: dumb person, shouldn't be trusted with money
used: cool i guess, i like the glowing eyes

Function Over Form Unless The Form Is A Form I Don't Like

it's nice, small, pretty, and it does everything you want, you did good I guess. if you ask me, I would encourage building your own system(pretty sure the rest of Sup Forums would too), even in such a small form factor. you get a great deal of flexibility for when the times comes you want more power.

>Smile face
>Caret
>Nostril holder

Pretty indifferent. You're not really giving anyone reason to hate/like you.

You could probably build something of comparable size that's capable of more demanding tasks for roughly the same amount of money.

But I mean hey, you do you.

it wouldn't be bad if it wasn't for that ugly ass logo.

I think you must not do much with your computer but shitpost and maybe watch porn because it's not very powerful

Worked well enough, but the single HDMI 1.4 was a killer. Had to pick up a pair of USB3 adapters so I could run all 3 monitors.

i had one hooked up to my TV for about a year when i was using a laptop with a shit dGPU as my main machine so i could still play games. it's not bad but the second gen version is overpriced unless you buy used.

Wasted your money

I bought an Alienware m15x from Craigslist about four years ago for 500$,sold it two years ago for 650$, the machines are well built, high specced, full of ports, retain value very well, there's just not too much wrong with them aside from (possibly) initial price. I do hate the gamer leds everywhere aesthetic but it's purely optional.

If you're not using it for games then you're weird

I really like how the Alpha looks but the fact you can't upgrade it turns me off so fucking much.

Im definitely using it for games.
And it is upgradeable to an extent, i upgraded the ram, within a few months of owning it, which was required to play gtav. Aside from that i understand the cpu can be upgraded with just a little more know-how. Not sure about the rest of the components offhand

>>Nostril holder
what did he mean by this?

I'm so sick of you misogynists on Sup Forums, assuming everyone is a he. Why can't we just start using Ze, the universal pronoun? Come on guys, get progressive.

He *is* the universal pronoun. You need to pay attention.

>that alienware logo
except this I think its "ok"
but these are just my 2 cents

Which version do you recommend buying with a max budget of ~750 €
Also where can I buy it ? Someplace that ships everywhere in the world

The graphics card can't be upgraded and for a "gaming" pc that is a fatal flaw, I've seen people who managed to get external graphics card on the alpha but that takes away the physical charm from it

These things were pretty reasonably priced a year or so ago, but that graphics card is going to be a serious issue running games at decent framerates at 1080p, it's about as powerful as a 750ti

Unless they've made a revision to bump up the power of a graphics card. I've not been keeping up with PC gaming recently.

Im not much of a graphics guy though, as long as i have a somewhat smooth framerate above 30 fps, im good. I can run fallout 4 and gtav with a good amount of wiggle room on the graphics, especially since i keep my default resolution at 1600×900. Id say im more of a catch up gamer too, as in most of the games i play are at least 5 years old.

Also i forgot to mention that the alpha is a pretty great emulator box, considering i've been able to play a lot of ps2 and gamecube games with performance ranging from decent to perfect. It was really awesome to finally get a chance to play Killer7, and even render it in widescreen 16:9

I think in that instance it's a perfectly good machine at base stocks for the price given your use case, but originally they were marketing it as an alternative to current gen console and for use with recent AAA gaming, but then again, the GPU in alienware alpha can't be any worse than the Xbone/S's so maybe it'll still stand the test of time

>what do you think of a person like me, Sup Forums?

You use what you use because its easy and it works and you're fine with that. You're in the same mindset as a mac user without the flamboyancy of actually using a mac.

fag

i mean if you got that kind of money to piss away it's more than i have to waste

if its dead silent you made a wise choice

if it makes any noise you are a gigantic faggot
