get a Halifax Clarity Mastercard - no fees for using any foreign currencies and, crucially, it gives you the inter-bank foreign exchange rate, so the banks don't jew you out by giving you a very unfavourable exchange rate
it's nothing to do with gearbest. if you buy in USD with Paypal and let them do the conversion, they jew you out too but it's less obvious cos instead of being billed e.g. £15 for a $20 item, you get £16.50 pinched out of you account and you're none the wiser

Update on the usb lighter, charged it for a while and it's working just fine. Can't really say anything yet about how long the battery lasts after each charge, and only time will tell how durable this thing is. But as long as I don't need to be charging it up every other day I'm happy with it, especially for little over $1.
Blue led might be a bit cringey when lighting up at a bar or something though.
