I am a Model M FSSK
(Model F internals in an SSK)
post art
...
what am I looking at here?
a parody
yes, that's hot glue
Seems like you've found your end game user. Too bad it's not ansi though
That's not my main board but I'd definitely consider it endgame material.
My main board is a beamspring
post pic of meamspring pls
I always assumed beamsprings would be stiff but its force curve says otherwise
...
You can hardly see the purple.
will this be the next meme?
Are barebones WASD keyboards worth it? I can't seem to find a good full size with mx clears and PBT caps, so I was thinking of just getting this and some vortex set
yes
that's so 2015
I can see them being used in server racks
Post /dirty/ keyboard
>all that wasted space
>(assuming) non-replaceable keycaps
out of the paste bin what should i get? pastebin.com
Looks awesome. Though i hear they can't keep up with very fast typing. Is that true?
>>(assuming)
you can replace them but I see it priced at about 300$ so fuck that shit
is this thing worth doing a ghetto green mod or nah
how are cherry blues compared to reds? thinking about replacing my keyboard in a couple of months and i think i'm gonna get cherry blues
HHKB is the best choice
Aren't razer keyboards already green. Why do you need more green?
.
different category, so a lot different.
red is linear and blue is clicky + tactile.
both are too light and not as satisfying as the heavier cherry switches, like the mx black (heavier red) and mx green (heavier blue)
idk this doesn't look very standard to me
would have to take a dremel to any different keyset you wanted to put in
Nope, Chyros didn't have the voltage threshold set correctly on his Xwhatsit controller software, that's why there was a delay.
If you had to get a Kobo frame, which would it be?
I think I would go with black lacquer.
Multicam to match my sling.
would greens be easy to find in a good UK layout keyboard?
Ducky has some
generally greens are harder to come by then blues. have a look here
If I get semen in my keyboard's switches will it damage them? Asking for a friend haha
It will make them sticky and unresponsive. Just open them and clean them
>
whats this keycap style called
High profile or Sculpted.
You can get SA profile, which is somewhat similar right now on massdrop
>Sculpted
what
aka each row has a different shape; not uniform like DSA.
but high profile isn't always sculpted either?
When would it not be?
The only exception I can think of are the all row 3 SA group buys.
or the PBT sets on their website, which are all in row three
even if it's the only "exception", sculpted only describes high profile. it's not exclusive to it.
High profile just means the keycaps are tall. Nowadays you'd have to specify if the caps are uniform & 0 degree tilt to the top of the cap (SA row 3) or sculpted.
What keycaps are those? They look comfy
but that's not what you said
looks like Tai-Hao
those look like Tai-Hao lavenders
Thanks!
They are correct, Tai Hao Purple PBT Doubleshot.
All I've said is that high profile isn't always sculpted, and that it just means the caps are tall.
good night /mkg/
where to cop? Cannot find them anywhere
They show up on massdrop from time to time. Aside from that, not sure.
What are some good HHKB mod guides?
Nothing major, just like lubing and silencing.
Genuinely amused.
>Just open them and clean them
>Plate mount Cherry
Time to grab the soldering iron then.
Its got a different layout, but the idea is the same
deskthority.net
Submerge it in 99% alcohol then let it dry for a week
Anyone like my new mech keyboard?
I have a Type-S HHKB and another one on the way, so the only silencing I'm considering is with this.
elitekeyboards.com
I have a backlit keyboard that I need to dampen the sound of, which o rings should I get?
Just get the ID/OD measurements off wasd, then buy some 40A durometer rings off imsto, ebay, or something. Should only be a few bucks for ~100 of them, not 15 or however much wasd is charging.
If I ever get around to making a custom keyboard, I'm gonna have it with LEDs like this.
You should buy the Razer Mechanical Keyboard Enhancement Kit.
$35 for 110 green o-rings, a plastic ring type keypuller and a tiny brush.
That specific keyboard is the clueboard with an acrylic case. I don't think they run that group buy anymore, just the one with the metal case since the rgb fad has died down, and now its all about sleek minimalist design
>tfw there is no mechanical keyboard with a TKL layout and a 3 button trackpoint
My RT3200 is nice for a rubberdome at least.
>acrylic
Speaking of which: What was the keyboard with the acrylic keycaps and the lighting again?
just got this in the mail today. was super excited... until i tried typing on it. feels just like the goddamn rubber dome i use at work. wtf? did i just spend 150 bucks on a fucking rubber dome keyboard?
i feel like i just got meme'd on.
there are lots of keyboards that fit that description. You can buy translucent keycaps on massdrop right now
what did you expect from a Chinese rubber dome keyboard
amazon.com
is this keyboard good or is it a meme
What meme products do you use to clean your keyboards?
a q-tip
Never seen one.
>this rubber dome keyboard feels like a rubber dome keyboard
acrylic keycaps are nothing new and you can get them at places like maxkeyboards and massdrop..
topre > anything else
My keyboard is waterproof so I just take it in the shower with me.
>My keyboard is waterproof so I just take it in the shower with me.
Along with you gay lover no doubt.
Does he hold it for you?
About to pull the trigger on my first Mechanical Keyboard.
Been looking at the POK3R in White, with backlighting and Blue switches. Would be $120 with 2-7 shipping
Realized there is also the RGB ones on Amazon for $140 and I would get Prime shipping that way..
What do you guys think?
blue switches are for queers
if the $120 keyboard doesn't have RGB lighting and you're that into it, just pay the extra $20 and get 2 day shipping
Will I be called a retard if I post a pic of my Razer keyboard?
I don't think I really care about RGB lighting at all, but for only $20 more it I figure it might be worth it in case I change my mind I guess.
It seems just really gimmicky and pointless, but maybe it would be fun to play around with
>It seems just really gimmicky and pointless, but maybe it would be fun to play around with
This is 100% on the money.
Do you care enough about 2-day shipping to pay an extra $20?
no, you fucking retard, it already happens before that.
don't get blues, blues are a meme. get clears.
>blue switches are for queers
>don't get blues, blues are a meme. get clears.
Blues seemed like a good middle ground for me. I want it clicky and I don't need it to be silent, but I don't want it to be the loudest either.
What's the Meme?
Maybe I'll need to just order a switch tester and try them all out myself, but I was really hoping to just get a keyboard ordered tonight
Get something with easily swappable switches and you're good even if you fuck up tonight
Listen to videos of tactile nonclicky switches and see if that's noisy enough for you
fuck you
>Budget: 150
>Location: USA
>Preferred switch type: Browns but would settle for blues
>Layout: any, would like a numpad but if not I can live
>Form factor: any
>Backlight: rgb per key, pretty strong on this
>Previous/current keyboards: corsair k65 rgb red, I hate typing on it and the bottom row is impossible to find replacements
I actually would go for clears too.
If I don't really care about the noise though, is there any real reason to choose Clears over Blue?
Not that guy, but I'm curious why Clear are recommended so much
blues are the loudest switches you can get. clears are in the middle and they're good starter switches because they're not too tactile.
>ITT: wrong opinions stated as facts
>not too tactile
>literally the most tactile switch Cherry offers
