Is Solus The Best Desktop Distro Currently For Linux Beginners?
I Set It Up For A Friend Recently Who Got Tired Of W10 Fucking His Shit Up And He's Really Liking It So Far. Looks Like It's Even More Difficult To Break Than Mint Or Ubuntu, Really Stable, Has What Most Normies Will Need Already Installed Or Available In The Repos, And It's So Much Faster.
I Had To Go Over A Couple Of Times For Shit Like Setting Up His Printer, But It's Been A Flawless Experience So Far.
There is nothing compelling whatsoever for me to use Solus. Why should I?
Are you looking for a stable distro that much werks, is fast, efficient, and stable while also being bleeding edge and having optimisation's no other distro does?

Honestly so much better than other distros (regarding issues, not performance) thanks to their optimised runtimes.

Yeah, it breaks really easily, but it's also super easy to fix usually thanks to the wiki.

Still does not solve 99% of the issues you might run into on arch. Sound works, but only for 244 seconds after running some media file until you reboot? no solutions in the wiki. No internet when installing? no solutions in the wiki, the only thing it says is "connect ethernet" but that has never worked any of the times I have tried. There are no solutions in the wiki for that, need to be creative and do some hacks to be able to install arch.

Ancient hardware is usually an issue on Arch.
I haven't had any issues on machines using hardware past 2010, and I've installed it successfully on at least 8 different machines.
And from my own personal experience, it's much more stable than my previous distros. As I started out with Linux as my main desktop about 2 years ago, Arch is the one I've stayed with the longest purely out of stability. Ubuntu eventually shat itself, and Mint started popping up "An error has occured" messages all day, seemingly out of nowhere.
Arch has been trouble-free for me. My only actual issue with it is I had troubles re-installing Nvidia drivers when changing my GPU. Ended up reinstalling the entire system, but that was a quick and painless process since I kept my home partition in-tact. Was back up and running with all my rice and customizing within 30 minutes.
Fucking retard , stop spreading this meme , I've been updating Arch almost daily for months and I haven't broken shit, also it's not like you cant have track of what you're updating to install previous versions if something happens, you have to be a complete mongoloid to get this kind of shit, also documentation is larger than any other distro by far, something that solus babies wouldn't know since everything is spoon-fed to them.
