Did you get the memo that we need more women browsing the web?

it is a diseased old dog of a browser, it suffers from feature creep because mozilla wanted to make one browser to everything,

install palemoon and compare it to the current firefox and they are not even the same browser,

palemoon is basically a fork of the old classic firefox before it got fucked up

...

Is Palemoon a real thing or just a meme?

There isn't better browser on this planet than Firefox for now. So, install Firefox and uBlock Origin into it and learn how to use uMatrix and then enjoy botnet free experience while browsing web and watching ufoporn.

End of message.

Anecdotally: make sure to enable electrolysis if it isn't already enabled, which it'll be fully from Firefox 51. Night and day difference in how responsive it feels.

wtf? Electrolysis? What does that mean in a browser?

It separates the fatty Os from the lean mean grilling Hs, giving you the speed you need.

Only way to answer that is to try it yourself, nerd

It's pretty dope.

concatenated tabs crashes :(

so... It does electrolysis on water somewhere? How does that help speed?

>uMatrix
>not using just ublock+privacy badger+noscript
shiggy diggy doo

It's a real thing. I use it on all of my machines. It's basically "firefox when it was good"

Per-site processes, similarly to Chromium. It's the feature name.

Google "Firefox electrolysis" and you'll be set.

It removes the bloat from the boat allowing you to swift with the drift; more saving, more doing.

>uBlock is outdated fork
>Privacy Badger too heavy on CPU
>NoScript has chaotic UI
that's why
and (you)

To be fair, he's probably referring to uBlock Origin.

uBlock Origin for them ads, uMatrix for the remaining granular control over everything. Shit, even who to send referrals to.

>rare timedubs of truth
Witnessed.

Why do they add bloat to make it slow and then add a feature to turn of the stuff that makes it slow? Makes no sense.

They're deprecating Alsa support. Starting next year you'll be forced to install PulseAudio on Loonix and take Poettering's dick up your ass

Firefox will probably hard depend on systemd by 2018 or so

Does fierfox tabs load slow when switching between them for you guys? It started happening recently when I only run noscript, 4chanx, a linkify script and abp

>using three addons to provide an inferior experience compared to what can only be given by the gorshill botnet

You have Chrome.
It eats up some memory, but as long as you have 8GB of RAM or more, you're good.

>just install the most blatant botnet bro
what fucking board are you on?

okay. if you don't like any google stuff, you can always get Chromium

wiki.mozilla.org/Electrolysis#Overview
It doesn't turn of shit.
Also jump off a clif

chromium is still the google stuff

yeah, well, that's a botnet too, read the wiki

Both are shit imo.
People like to complain about featurecreep but the way google locks down it's shit like the UI is garbage. Base usage & look on both is shit but at least i can fix it with firefox

That website literally put $0 towards their graphic design budget.

>firefox 3.*
>firefox when it was good
Pick one, objectively the worst version of Firefox when it became a bloated mess and stopped being the lean and mean Phoenix

>palemoon is basically a fork of the old classic firefox before it got fucked up
It's shit, it mimics the Firefox 3.* interface which was always shit, ugly and bloated

>Is Palemoon a real thing or just a meme?
A meme, and a big one at that.
Used by kids that don't know how shit Firefox 3.* was and they try to replicate the shittiness and add more shittiness and edginess on top

The only reason browsers like Chrome or Safari exist is because Firefox 3.* was so shit, unstable, incompatible with standards, slow to start and use on every OS (remember the shit with ext4 and Firefox back then?) that Webkit browsers like Chrome or Safari felt like browsers from the future compared to clunky bloated Firefox 3.*.

Firefox 3.* was more bloated and slower than the Mozilla Suite which include an email client, an html editor, an irc client.
Firefox 3.* was un-Firefox like and shit.

Mozilla is a shitty organization but the truth is the technical choices that on Firefox 4+ made Firefox great again.
Firefox and Gecko were never better than what they are now.
It's a shame that Mozilla's political decision have doomed Firefox's future and Firefox will be dead soon just when Gecko finally surpassed Webkit in everything.

Nothing? Works on my machine.
