If its browser based ads you can block them as usuall
If you want to block those ads on apps then how about black listing the domains at OS lvl?

Also that kid is a pussy people on this platform tell me to kill my self often and im still here

get an Ubuntu phone and install it like on a pc

just kidding that project died

Horrible taste desu.
Root your phone and go from there. It's not hard. You don't have a contract phone do you? You are not that poor right?

Firefox browser unlock or other ad block addon

>just kidding that project died

rly?

Whel then i blame ARM for this and braind dead people buying every year a new phone because they so incompentent that they cant reset a phone to default settings.

How long is this arm on phones tech around and we hardly can install our own distro on this phones?

AdAway from f-droid.

How does one do that? Will that work for browser based ads?

as a long time linux user this pisses me off too

top end phones are becoming powerful enough to replace laptops in most situations (just need a keyboard) and yet there are no good and safe options for software

I dont know how to do it on an andorid but i guess you can
Android is a linux based thing just a bit but enought to have somthing similar.

On my computer i can black list domains by:
Puting them in a file called /etc/hosts
using a program called ipetables and wrtiting some rules
In both cases you have to know the domains to block its not somthing you do with two clicks

The mobile Firefox browser isn't bad at all and has Add-on support.

ok but then you have to try not to kill yourself for using firefox
definitely not worth the self shame

Hate the desktop browser the mobile is okay

>have htc one rooted
>can't write to /system because selinux
>trying to remove selinux or mounting /system as r/w causes hard reboot
>can't go to another rom because it'll obliterate my 28hr battery life
The suffering is real

How good are all of these options as opposed to downloading the Mother of All AdBlocking host file to replace your existing host file with?
