That's a good thing, though.

This is why charging mats should be a thing already. Just toss everything onto it when you sleep or get home.

Or just keep being a consumerist whore.

When they forget to charge your life support machine.

>buy batteries for your phone
>buy batteries for your laptop
>buy batteries for your tablet
>buy batteries for your vape
>buy batteries for your watch
>buy batteries for your controllers
>buy batteries for your vibrator
>buy batteries for your car

can't we just have wireless charging mats become standard so at least charging devices becomes a matter of just putting it on your bedside table or whatever instead of having plugs and cables all over the place.

I think in a few years we'll look back on tech of this age and wonder why we tolerated so much cables and charging and needless effort.

beat me to it, damn

would you prefer all those things be plugged into the wall? or gas powered

Wireless charging.

Think on the possibilities!

I want to live in a tropical 3rd world country, work just enough for food/shelter/booze.

>charge your portable charger

...

charging portable battery packs is the height of stupid and we really need to sort this out

>When will it end
Go back to 1850 you anti-tech fuck

If you're talking about how often we charge our things, it's better than requiring a cable attached to the device 24/7 or disposable batteries.

If they had to be gas powered just imagine the leaps and bounds in engine technology

>Micro internal combustion engine
>Small enough to fit in a cell phone
>Pulls hydrogen and oxygen out of the atmosphere

But what if you want to use your phone while it's charging
And you still need a cord to plug the charging mat into the wall

Agreed. My toothbrush has it. Why the fuck can't the iMeme and Botphones?

Has anyone come up with a fast charger using an old microwave oven?

Sounds great my man

>charge your car
I can get behind this. I drive a Leaf, because I'm Indian, and it works out well for me. I still have a regular car for longer drives, but for things near and around me, I have the Leaf. I charge it every other week at my house and the other week at my workplace.

>charge your airpods® by apple™ charger so you can later charge the airpods® themselvea

>tfw I own literally 1 device which requires regular charging

Charging mats are insanely inefficient and add a lot of weight and thickness to devices.
Your electric bill would be through the roof if you tried to charge a tesla with that.

Where do you think the power comes from? The point of a portable battery is to charge something without direct access to an outlet.

>Tfw just got a pair of wireless iems
Not having a cable is nice, but it's another thing that I forgot to charge when I need it

Please see

There was a company that already this is iirc but it was total balls and was shite on efficiency compared to a normal Li-Ion battery. I'm all game for one as long as it isn't insanely expensive and works better than the current options.

More like

>plug in laptop
>plug pretty much everything else into laptop
>remove laptop battery when it's full

Wow gee that's so hard guys.

> you can charge a power supply
Tell me more

In ten years it will be charge your woman

I approve, we will need all of society to collapse in order for fat american women to learn how to put down the fork.

>plug pretty much everything else into laptop
don't forget to connect the dozen dongles to do so!

Other than maybe the vape or vibrator, most of that stuff connects via USB. Only way you'd have trouble connecting them is if you're using a cuckbook with 1 USB port.

Induction charging is stupidly inefficient. It's useful in a few cases but these are not it.

>hydrogen and oxygen will magically create a combustion to power your phone
>what is heat dispersion?
>what is a sealed gas system?

I though people on Sup Forums were college graduates!

as opposed to what? buying batteries? that surely is way better, am i right.

Life must be so hard for people that willing choose to eat crap all the time.

>charge your cigarette

>wireless charging nightstand, desk
>wireless charging tech drawer
>wireless charging garage

Its all about innovative chargers, they hopefully come soon enough

Let's sort through your shitpost strategically.

>having a mobile phone
Enjoy not having sustainable work with no phone to get calls from your boss while you're out.

>not a lan line
>having a land-line on the year of our lord 2016-2017

>having a laptop
>Not being productive on-the-go

>not a desktop
Nothing wrong with one but if it's a glorified gaymurrrr ;;--DDD machine then delete yourself

>having a tablet
>A FUCKING TABLET
Enjoy not doing artistic expression or reading paper books which rot away unlike a cheap $100 tablet.

>smoking, ever
>not de-stressing from daily life

>not having a mechanical watch
Have fun looking like a fucking 70 year old nerd.

>controllers?

Sounds a bit summer in here today.

diesel is the reasons why European cities manage to be more polluted than american cities.

>Being a girl

Oh don't be so naive.

>reading paper books which rot away unlike a cheap $100 tablet.
i'm sorry. allow me to interject here for a second

show me a SINGLE tablet, 100$ or twelve thousand bucks, that will EVER outlast one of my books. Not some rare, vintage book in an environmentally controlled room. just a book, just on my shelf.

In 50 years, a 100 years this book will still be here. Might be yellowed a bit, might have broken corners or spine but I'll be able to read it.

your fucking tablet won't make it out of 2016 and there's barely 5 days left. Never mind even be compatible with ANYTHING in 20 years. you won't even be able to charge it in 30 if god forbids the hardware even lives that long.

>charge your watch
>not having an automatic watch

ISHYGDDT

Thank God wireless, no-contact charging is on its way. Think Wi-Fi, but with electricity. Thank God.

So many people are going to be electrocuted to death when those things are tampered with.

> using energy
When will it end?

> charge your wife

>sure
>sure
>sure
>being a degenerate
>yeah i guess if smartwatches are your thing
>yep
>if you own one, see 4
>if you have enough money for one

We want your soul

here's an idea for y'all tesla owners,
>buy one of these 12v to AC power inverter
>plug it to tesla car cigarette plug
>run your house energy off Tesla batteries
>when low bat, just go recharge from Tesla Power charger, takes around 30 mins.
> get 0 $ in power bill from electric company
> profit by selling charged tesla power to the grid, Tesla car pays for itself in 2 years.
>????
> become millionaire.

Spoilers: The government has been able to tap into electronic devices through the power line all along.

Not him, but digital will outlast physical almost every time, since it's not bound to the physical object that holds it, but can be copied instantly and infinitely to anything that can hold it (even on the other side of the world), unlike real books, which are only as resistant as the paper they're printed on.
At most, I'll have to convert them to a new format every few decades, and that's it.
Even if my tablet breaks, I'll still have my book exactly as it was the first day I got it.

>charging your dog
>charging yourself

We won't need nutrition soon.

>not just buying a new phone battery every time it dies

I once threw away a new $600 watch when it stopped working a day after I bought it.
I thought it was broken and had already thrown away the papers, so I couldn't have replaced or fixed it.
When I went to get another one and told the guy about the pld one, he told me that it wasn't broken and that I only needed to load the spring.

Because coal is the only way to generate electricity.
Wew lad.
