>be user with paranoid tendencies >buy new laptop after realizing my old laptop of 9 years (2007 vaio) is finally going to kick the bucket soon >buy an acer laptop that comes with w10 >i don't even like what anons and reviews have said about w8 >i'd feel safer with my cock in a blender than using w10 >just figured out how to clean install w7 ult >drivers are gone >go to support website >drivers only supported in w10
welp, fuck.
i like my vidya, but i like porn and privacy even more. should i stick with w7 or go back with my tail between my legs and reinstall w10.
I've been thinking about pirating an Enterprise edition of w10.

All of the spyware shit in w10 has been backported to w7 via updates, so now you're free to suddenly stop caring about your privacy and use either since you certainly won't use neither

Linux you scrub lord!
Ian Jenkins
Fucking this. Especially if you're an Ameriburger. If you really have ``paranoid tendencies'' you should be aware that any Windows is not acceptable even under the threat model of normal citizens here.
Linux doesn't have to be as scary as some of my fellow Arch autists make it seem. Don't try to transition suddenly. Play around in VMs for a while and get used to it.
William Bell
i don't know when people started to accept w10, but it's completely unacceptable.
i'm not even sure if an intentionally evil microsoft is worse than a microsoft that is bumbling incompetent to the degree of warping reality.
i don't want anything to do with w10
my copy of w7 only has service pack 1.
also the ethernet and wan (which i kept disabled) drivers are win10 only.
i really want to get into linux, and i was hoping that valve would make a big push for it. but i simply dont have the time. i'm studying 2 foreign languages and graduating next semester.
and doesn't the fact that my laptop only has w10 supported drivers make linux irrelevant anyway?
Logan Wood
>my laptop only has w10 supported drivers Linux has its own drivers for it

I got a Lenovo yoga, and I still want to have tablet mode for reading long documents. Last I checked no go on Linux. Can I really not disable the objectionable parts of windows if I get the Enterprise edition? I hate going to my parents and feeling unfamiliar with their OS
Henry Adams
>I hate going to my parents and feeling unfamiliar with their OS Why? I've had no idea how to use any of the computers in my parents' house for years and it's the best thing ever. Whenever I visit them now I don't end up spending two hours fixing their computers because I'm not familiar with them and have no reason to try.

I like being able to help my family. They do so much for me. I got enough money from my grandma to pay a month's rent.
Connor Martinez
Forget your question, we're talking about your pic.
Bump for C&C generals cartoonishly racist quotes. If this were made another 2 years later, it would have been turbo banned.
you could literally go to Sup Forums and make a thread with guaranteed replies for the full meme experience.
i only posted the OP image because i just realized i lost a folder of all the images i've saved for about 6 months.

One thing that stops me from transitioning to linux is that I can't figure out how to undervolt my processor (i5-6300hq). Everything about Windows 10 just annoys me. I really wanted to go to linux, but is it worth it to just dual boot Win 10 (Gaymes) and Win 7?
Connor Bailey
>windows 8.1 pro >CS:S takes 5 minutes to boot up on a 15" rMBP with SSD >weird trackpad issue causing jittering, have to turn it off in device manager
wtf >windows 10 >botnet shit everywhere >still slow >can't customize as much as 7
>windows 7 >customize, turn off all features >CS:S loads it 5 seconds and just werks >no stupid trackpad issues either
i'll stick to 7, with no updates since the only thing i will ever (reluctantly) use Windows for is games
Nolan Peterson
windows is so inferior to macOS, everytime i use it i wonder why i lauded this shit for 10 years until i properly tried a mac.
everything about it is just so cheap and, at times, even repulsive
Jackson Richardson
>CS:S >t. bot that loves ice cream on ghost-town server
ironic how a CS bot is complaining about how bad w10 botnet is
>windows is so inferior to macOS
except in vidya.
probably not for long if microsoft continues being pants-on-fire-on-head retarded.
Adam Peterson
>Can I really not disable the objectionable parts of windows if I get the Enterprise edition?
>the only way to turn off the telemetry, i.e. keylogging and datalogging, is to have Enterprise ed, set option to enabled AND THEN set value to 0 >most businesses that actually want to use windows 10 for this don't actually disable the telemetry
