Does hibernate or sleep count?

today, had to upgrade my ram.

Last night, but I usually only power cycle about once every 1-2 months.

Yesterday (because I have a windows machine because i am forced to)

Before I went to sleep last night. Same as every night.

Why?

28 days ago. I imagine I ran into some bug that was the easiest to fix with a simple reboot.

This "morning" @ ~1 : 20 AM.

I turn off the computer each night. The old "its better for the computer to sleep at night then turn it off/on daily" myth is dumb

Computers turn off?

Its not about some myth its about not having to close every goddamn thing

Multiple times a day after I finished using it, user. I always turn off my unused devices because I'm not an ignorant faggot.

Booting takes 10 seconds or so. Before I'm even comfy in my chair with my keyboard on my lap the PC's done booting.

an hour ago, to do some maintenance work on the electrical wiring in my apartment

other than that, every night ~10pm it's shut down time

not this shit again

I turn it off every single night as there's literally no fucking reason to leave my desktop on when I'm not using it.

Yes,

Everyone turns off his/her PC every day so it's funny to make a post that states the opposite and then yell at the posts of anons who are not lying.

This.

What if you want to use your computer while sleepwalking?

>he doesn't suspend his computer

Live close to a mine so I leave it on all night with music going softly to cover noise if I can hear the mine. I put it to sleep if it's quiet though.

When you will make 4 dollars per hour like me, plus have much more expensive electricity than murricans, you will shut down whole house at night.
10 inch tablet computing is good guys.
I sold my AMD gaymen pc, because it had same power consumption as my ac.
I sold that too.
Now I collect pine combs in woods.

Crysis and russian sanctions hitted hard senpai.
I need advice.
How do I harvest electricity from pine combs?
I need 5W for lighting and 50W for router and ulv pc.

Old car batteries + charge controller + solar panel

Thats good solution.
I will look for some chinese pannels.

15:25:14 up 14 days, 1:21, 1 user, load average: 1,23, 0,85, 0,65

Every other hour, since I have an SSD now.

>How do I harvest electricity from pine combs?

Like this, but this particular solution only produces 2 Watt continuously:

Xeon 4 lyfe

Everyday.

You can charge them in your company or whatever the fuck you go outside of house.
5x18650 empty box is like $5, good cells can be taken from laptop batteries

>Xeon
>16GB
>Wi-Fi
>No ethernet

What an utter clusterfuck

last night

Last night.

I just turn it on when I get home from work, off when I go to bed.

The only reason to ever leave it on is if you're downloading/uploading something, or doing something on the computer that needs to run a while.

I use my PC as an alarm clock so never

about a week ago, i changed the cpu fan with a new one

last night because electricity costs money and i dont have much of it

Is there something like PC On/Off Time for Windows for Linux?

Exactly. Why do people do otherwise? A waste of electricity

Downloading should be done on an energy efficient headless device so you can controll it from any device/location you want without leaving a fukken PC turned on for no reason.

I have "free" energy but still dont waste it by leaving it on. Come on, it's not that big a problem.

Since I moved out and started paying for electricity I close it everyday. Also SSD since 2011 so virtually no boot times.

But before I had sessions up to 3-4 months. Even started 70-80 torrents of approx. 1,5TB before I went on vacation for 3 weeks back in '08 when 4mbps down was top dollar internet.

2 months back.

This morning to refresh my thermal paste, as I do every day.

Months, gotta farm dem BPs

I used to to that frequently aswell. Now my i7 920 is running at 150% (4GHz) for 4 years without me changing the paste. Temps are 15°c higher than before though.

last night

Yesterday evening. I turn my computer off when I'm sleeping.

Home - like two weeks ago when I got some new audio stuff

Work - 41:07:56:15 Was IT doing updates, not me. Think I've made it over 90 days uptime before

These are the only correct answers you wasteful faggots.

Last time we had a power outage

I hibernate errryday but my uptime is around a year.

My laptop takes too long or fails to restart so I press the power button after 30 seconds to hard reset it every 2 or 3 days it can restart to install updates

I have m.2 ssd to boot so like an hour ago, like all the fucking time I turn it off

why the fuck do you retards just waste money

I hope it's because you're putting them to sleep at least

It's not like they're the ones paying the bill
