Shit customer service / RMA thread

> Bought Note 4
> Still have half a year of warranty on it
> Enabled Reactivation Lock (RL)
> Did a factory reset yesterday
> Phone does not let me login anymore, thus phone is locked forever

> Call Samsung that their shit is broken
> "You will have to pay for the repair."

What the fuckety fuck?
How can a company fuck up so many times?
It's not enough that they made very expensive smart IEDs, their warranty is also absolute shite?

> inb4 you forgot your account
Nope, I have it saved, I used the phone with only one account and it just won't let me in. The website login worked. I also tried every Samsung account I ever used.

> inb4 why buy Samsung
The Note 4 was highly praised, and heck it was not a bad phone.
It's only Samsung Account that's fucked up.

> inb4 other brands suck too
We took back two Sony phones in the family (Sola / Z3C).
They repaid Sola's price, and replaced th Z3C with a brand new phone.
Fucking 10/10 service right there.

Of course I spent 10 hours (no exaggeration) trying to fix this by reading every post I found, watching every Youtube vid and so on. Problem is that most vids today are about bypassing stolen device protection. Not about fixing the issue.

Just flash a custom ROM, warranty is about to break soon anyways

So you forgot your account. PEBKAC.
And you expect Samsung to pay for it. LOL @ teenage suburban white male entitlement.

Do a full backup, reflash stock and extract your data from the backup

Cannot. If you have RL, Odin will refuse to flash anything.

I have the fucking account, you dimwit fuck.
I said that in OP.
Saved every detail since I bought the phone in Keepass, I have 100% of the data.

It's not that the account password is wrong, it just won't let you in.
Google "Samsung Account processing failed".
One bazillion hits.

If you flash anything, the lock will just pop up, prompting you to sign in.

Also Samsung account is fucked in more than one way.
Before I reset my phone:
> Could not disable RL, because every time it would just "tick back"
(tried to flash custom rom)
> Cannot log in or log out to different Samsung accounts

>Buy MSI motherboard
>It shits the bed, have to send it in for RMA
>MSI won't cover the cost of sending it in
>Pay to send it across the country
>Takes 15 days to get the replacement
>It's dead out of the box

OP here:
There was a trick back in 5.1.1 days.
You could reflash 5.0.1, delete your account on Samsung's site, and make a new one wit same credentials. That worked.

But that's "patched" now, thankfully.
> muh security
> muh Android security

kek.
Best "fuckover warranty" belongs to Dell though

> pay premium for UltraSharp Premium display
> got dead/stuck pixels
> send it back
> receive a "refurb" display that is scratched and has dead pixels too

And that's "OK" because it had less dead pixels.
How is this fucking accepted?

get a programmer and do a direct flash to the chip

Samsung said they will unlock it for 10$ in 2 hours.
I am still trying to unlock it somehow, because well, petrol/gasoline is not free (muh yuropoor overpriced fuel prices)...

AND FUCK its a software bug that they should fix for free... instead of making me running around and shit. Fuck Samsung.

how is that even supposed to be possible, does it conenct to the internet to check the status?

From what I reckon, it tries to login to the account, which you used to lock the phone with.

The problem is:
- I think Samsung uses some hash. With the original email and password. Good luck finding the original password, because they make you change it from time to time, and sometimes the whole account stops accepting your password, so you have to reset it.
- The main Samsung Account site displays a short error message BUT logs you in, even if you use a correct password.
- This dialog pops up twice, then disappears before showing this "Toast" message.

But yeah I think it's the first one.
Your account has a salted hash, and if you change password, it's a mismatch.
Then again, it's all a theory.

Samsung also said something about the "find my phone" service, that I can mess around with my phone there, but all my accounts say "no phone associated" in there.
> all my accounts
I really used one since I purchased the phone, so yeah..

>I enabled RL
>Then I did a factory reset
>but Samsung is shit, not me
Your fault for being a normie and enabling RL in the first place. The only right thing to do with Samsung phones is wipe all of their non-crucial apps, including "system" ones.

It's a security feature. My fault for trying to use a phone?
The fuck are you trying to say, nigga?

If I bricked my phone by flashing CM13_xXx_Po0L0rdEd1tion_xXx firmware, then yes, I would be the dumbfuck here. But I simply ticked a box in Security.

I had crap apps disabled, just wanted to wipe my phone, simple as that.

>security feature
Only if you expect your phone to be stolen by niggers, otherwise it's completely useless. And even if it's stolen there are ways to unlock it. And even if they didn't have a way to unlock it you've still lost your phone forever. So yes, your fault for falling for memes.
You don't need this type of "security". Security is in the hands of the user, not the company that sold you their product. Look at Windows, it still requires a 3rd party anti-virus. So the only 2 ways to remain secure are
>keeping your phone unrooted and receive manufacturers updates
Or
>root your phone, install xprivacy and AFwall and secure it yourself

The problem was that once you enable it, due to the shitty implementation, you cannot disable it. And yes I lived in the capital where you bump into a gypsy every few minutes. And indeed, smartphones, watches, wallets they all tend to disappear.

And no, they can't bypass even a simple passcode. Maybe do a reset, but this would have protected me. Now Google enabled FRP too, so I would not even need this anymore.
Then again, back to point 1, it's so fucking buggy, you cannot even disable it.
The login popped up, entered credentials, then nothing happened.

Just flash the stock rom.

>Samsung security issue
>It's Android's fault
