adaway

disable cancerscript.

Useful suggestion. Still in sure he'd love to be still use the internet.

Use an adblocker, duh

Is it possible to use an adblocker without sideloading apps

Firefox & ublock origin

Adaway is literally the #1 reason to root your phone.
Just fucking do it already.

>android FF
Enjoy your janky as fuck scrolling and rendering.

Kek

If you're rooted: adaway
If you're not rooted: NetGuard with hosts file.

What about DNS66?

I use this and works great but you have to update the files yourself.

install gentoo

I will, and I wont be seeing the horse shit OP is

This

Lightning browser has a built in adblocker that isn't perfect, but at the least it'll stop popups and redirects.

Assuming android phones don't have these ads built in, it follows that you did some thing, perhaps visiting certain websites or using certain apps, that triggered the ads being displayed. What you should obviously do is to stop doing that thing.

These things have been slipping through AdAway on some torrent sites like 1337x and extratorrents...

Guess I should look around for more aggressive lists.

Click leave>close browser>open>quickly tap tabs>delete ad

Brave is on android it's based on chrome but has an ad blocker

Do i need the pro version for hosts file?

No. You just need the version from GitHub.

I just wish I could block this cunt bar at the bottom that pops up on every Sup Forums page.
Fucking gook moot.

dubs of truth

>not using clover
Are you also going to bitch about how they removed (You)s?

Clover is shit though. I don't need a separate app to browse one website.

How else do you watch threads, get notifications when someone replies to your posts, or save images in an organized folder?

If you're not rooted use DNS66 to block ads, on websites and in apps.

Werks just fine on my Turbo 2.

In the unlikely event I care enough about a thread to monitor it, I keep it open in a separate tab. I don't give a fuck about getting notified about replies or maintaining a folder, ive been here far too long for that.

No you just don't know any better. It's awful.

adaway doesn't block pop-ups and alert boxes tho

Will the PlayStore app work?

No.

B-b-but it says its the same version is in the PlayStore?

Last time I checked (which was a while ago) the Play Store version did not have domain blocking by hosts file. Maybe it's been changed, who knows? Try downloading it from the Play Store and look for "Download hosts file" in the "Backup" section of the in-app settings.

I see an "Import" and "Export" option.
I'll try the apk.

What's weird is that the Play Store thinks you have the version it distributes installed and will try to update over the GitHub version if you have auto-update enabled. If that's the case disable auto-update for NetGuard on the app page.

You're right about that scrolling but FF seems to handle css animations and embedded video better than Chrome for me.

retard

So ya the playstore one was missing the hosts file option. Ty for all the help based user.

Thanks for your helpful comment dolt
