warm light led's thx

the fuck are you doing staring at lightbulbs all day you spastic?

Master race space heater and light source combo

luckily I don't use lights

>similar conditions
Which you'd never have in real life anyway.
Good job reading that shit faggot

>But, comparisons were
>made in this study in a very controlled manner which allow
>compare the effects of different light sources. It shows
>that at the same illuminance and under similar conditions,
>white, blue and green LEDs provoke retinal damage,
>while CFLs do not. They also highlight once more, the tox-
>icity of blue light and particularly of blue-LEDs.

what about non-LED blue light sources

I wanna know

I'm still using these and as long as I can get then anywhere, I will continue to do so.

post your stash of bulbs my friend!
mine is in the attic in a big box. Still living with my parents they dont want to use this but i really really like them.

I only got about 10, can still order new ones on Amazon..

Did you read it?
LED caused damage even at 500 lux, which is normal indoor illuminance.

With dilluted pupils (That's abnormal) or at exposure of 24h (Do you sleep with open eyes and the lights on? This is also abnormal)

Yeah if you stare directly into a bright one for 12 hours it may damage your eyes.
The CFL bulbs just emit slightly lower levels of harmful UV light. Your monitors, tablets and phones are all emitting harmful light.
The sun emits a full spectrum of harmful shit all day.
And everything causes cancer.

And be staring directly into the bulb so there is no scattering or absorption of rays.

>it won't affect you in any way if you're exposed to it for 23 hours and 59 minutes

kill yourself grandpa

Can you lend me your headphones to hang myself, heard you can't use them anymore with your iFag 7 anyway because you're so brave or something.

The albino rats were fucked up even in completely normal conditions (normal on/off cycles without dilated pupils). After only one month.

Yes, but only the albino rats.
And albino is pretty far from the norm.

It basically says that the normal rats under normal conditions were perfectly fine.

>le LED master race here xD
Enjoy your shitty cancerous eye strain inducing PWM

>It basically says that the normal rats under normal conditions were perfectly fine.
That's not what is says you illiterate retard.

Can you buy these anywhere in europe?

IIRC only the 75 W and under.

>eye strain inducing PWM

stop ordering your bulbs from aliexpress

Oh, nice. I feared the EU was enlightened enough to ban all incandescent bulbs. I'll have to buy some 60W's for my bedrooms.

looks like you just got shit leds
the ones i got are 100% flicker free from china

Italianfag here, no they're illegal, closest thing you can find is halogens, just a bit more efficient, no electronics, same kind of light and CRI100, they're fine

You can get 100w bulbs online.

In germany there are some cheap dollar store type shops and they still sell off brand 60 75 and 100w bulbs for like 69 cents a piece.

Heat rises
Lightbulbs are installed in light fixtures
Which are attached to ceilings...

>Heat rises
what a waste of trips my friend
its called "the fire rises"

If not LEDs what then?

I use fluorescent tubes with traditional ballasts. Best combo

>CFL

enjoy your migraine, it it works as a BPL transmitting data to the government

What would you recommend?

Most pound shops sell them.
Bypass the ban by saying "not for domestic use"
Enjoying a 200w here.

Masketta man!

You can get them for 0.33€ in slavlands.

shit is this serious?

can I use 6500K LED in my growroom if I spend there only couple of minutes everyday?

Should I use sunglasses?

Enjoy your 100 Hz flicker

Do you know if importing them from saner countries is illegal?

>twin.sci-hub.cc/ac1a63745360991b7b9a42390ab3faa8/krigel2016.pdf
>neuro"science"
Stopped reading there.

LED monitors cause blindness

Why in the hell did they test blue and green LEDs?
Who uses blue and green LEDs for illumination?

Why didn't they test some different white LED instead?

That's just from all the gay porn you fap to. Next is hair on your palms.

Because their goal is to get ad revenue from a poorly done experiment.

>having a light bulb that produces more heat than an AMD RX 480
at least it does not inject harmonics into the grid.

i dont use apple toys

this

>must choose between an expensive bulb that fucks up your eyes or an overpriced bulb that contains deadly chemicals and gives you psychological stress because muh global warming hoax

thanks obama

>suddenly you realize that a screen is nothing but a huge light bulb
>suddenly you feel your retina getting a little loose

>buy new house
>install all ikea warm led bulbs
Comfy af thb senpai. Can literally light up my whole house with less than 100W.

study says that exposure to blue light LED (Cold light) in normal domestic environment might be dangerous and cause AMD (lol), is that normal domestic environment in your fucking eyes?

There are a lot bigger harmonics in the current grid than those caused by lighting elements.

>implying cheap Chinese led bulbs have a PWM driver
They just have shitty conversion to DC and you'll get a 50/60Hz flicker

>white, blue and green LEDs

Gee, and i thought green lights everywhere was the way to go.

Almost all IKEA bulbs flicker.

There's a guy on YT who reviews them.

aliexpress.com/item/These_bulbs_dont_flicker_NIGGER/32587696934.html
these are truely god tier.
just DONT get the e14 ones these DO suck!

What's the light output?

What the hell does PWM even stand for?
Please Wake Me?
Penis Wrinkle Maker?
Painting With Manginas?
Pinsane Wown Mosse?
Pone Wemple Milots?

You must be 18 or over to post on this website.

pulse width modulation you retard.

>"These bulbs don't flicker"
>see the reviews
>see this and many others like this

It stands for Pretty Wonderful Modulation.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with it. It's simple and works.
The problem comes when you, like Lenovo, use low frequencies like 100-200Hz to drive something with very fast switching times like LEDs.

>low frequencies like 100-200Hz
More like 50-60 Hz

the 8w is kind of 60w to 75 w ish

you dumb those are the e14 ones those suck shit absolute garbage!

>twin.sci-hub.cc/ac1a63745360991b7b9a42390ab3faa8/krigel2016.pdf
If you're worried about you CCFLs in your computer, don't worry, they won't make you blind. They will make you gay, however.

>Looking at light damages your eye
Okay, so I should never go outside?

yes, in fact, the sun makes you go blind.

halogen is master race. It does everything an incandescent does while using less power and lasting longer. they get hot as fuck, tho. like, fry an egg hot.

i do realize that, but my point considering the single light bulb is still valid, no matter how you look at it.

Mine flickers at about 60Hz.
Only noticeable when you move things around fast enough at which point it's really distracting. Like living in a video game.

halogens are fine too my friend.
they basically are still incandescent in some way. i like halogens in the bathroom for that 3000k light but in the bedroom i really perfer a dimmed normal bulb

>lasting longer
Not really user. Unless there are some really good halogens I have no idea about, the lifespan of single incandescent bulb is 2-3 times longer from my experience.

To me it's not just distracting, it literally makes my eyes red and veiny.

what do you mean by flicker? I've got a 1000lumen LED and even with filming with slowmo on my iphone I see no flickering.

The light output is not constant. If I wave my hand in front of my face I can see multiple images. It's a bit like being in a disco with a strobe light.

>how does physics work

It completely depends on the LED's power supply.
Cheap shitty power supplies (like the ones in affordable LED light bulbs) won't provide nice smooth DC, so the LEDs will flicker.

Check this out before posting lads

>tfw our last old light bulb broke last month after serving our kitchen for like 15 years.
>tfw modern light bulbs break down after half a year.

>I'm a homo tho

THIS REQUESTING THIS.

Here only 40W and below. 25W candle light my ass.

Do they have online shops?

Where

>She likes flashing CFLs

Whew.

LOL
all wrong

...

...

What's the use of posting it in frog?

>buying shitty PWM LEDs

This is an English speaking website.

I've seen them in some stores in eastern Europe, they are now called "traffic light laps" but are obviously identical to the old bulbs

>I have no clue whatsoever

They're everywhere in the UK. Okay, not everywhere, but I never struggle to find them. They're labelled as "rough service" bulbs so that they don't hit the restrictions on domestic bulbs.

I have a love-hate relationship with them. They waste an obscene amount of power, but all the alternatives seem to suck in one way or another.

Monitors tend to be in the 300-400 lux area, if they're good, so it'd be nice to have had that comparison, since that's probably the most repeated direct long term exposure people have. With work and all. Still seem like a good argument to use uv reduction film on glasses.

look up heating bulbs
that's how some are sold now

>I feared the EU was enlightened enough
>enlightened
>not "illuminated"
Step it up, sempai.

You can order 125W frosted incandescents from Ukraine.
