Phone 2k screen

>phone 2k screen
>laptop 1600x900

why ? the fuck is it like this ?

Laptops come in different resolutions.

why don't you buy a non-shit laptop?

buy a mac

So battery life becomes worse? I'll stick to 768p.

Pixel density factors into the price.

>why ? the fuck is it like this ?
Normies fell for the "Pixels should be microscopic" meme that phone marketing teams shat out to justify a new flagship phone yearly costing nearly $1000 because it's easier to develop denser screens and marginally better processors than shit that actually matters like battery technology.

Larger the screen more difficult to manyfacture. Smaller screens are cheaper.

Because they're different sizes, that's why.

Because apple set a precedent that "retina" displays should be lower resolution the bigger the screen size gets.

wh... then why did you start this thread?

>apple set a precedent that "retina" displays should be lower resolution the bigger the screen size gets.
lol what are you talking about?

baka

>4k oled phone:$400
>1366x768 glossy tn laptop:$1200

k oled phone:$400
???

Because modern desktop operating systems are garbage at DPI scaling, so if you sell a laptop with a high-DPI screen to a normie, they will complain that everything looks too small.

just linux and windows. apple has a tighter grip on software vendors and less legacy software to deal with, so they could move on a little more gracefully. but honestly it helps a lot that they just jumped straight to 2x rather than retarded idiot shit like 1920x1080 and telling users to scale to 125% or something, causing the computer to need to interpolate, etc...

just scale by a nice integral factor, like 2 or 3 (i don't think 3 exists but that's the idea).

>1366x768 laptop for $1200?
>2017
where the fuck do you buy computers?

Dumb nigger, stop making this board shit.

>phone is 4k
>laptop is 1330*720
>tv is 480p
like what

Cell phones have shity screens that only last 2 years

>go to movie theater
>they're playing the matrix in 320x240

wtf even
