What do you think about the Project NEON?

what do you think about the Project NEON?

>Microsoft is working on an improved design language for Windows 10

>Project NEON has been in the works for over a year internally at Microsoft. It builds upon the design language introduced with Windows 10, with its simple and clean interfaces, but adds some much-needed flair to the UI

>Details are still scarce, but we hear some of the new designs in the plans include adding more animations and transitions, with the overall goal of making the UI very fluid and "beautiful" compared to the current, almost static UI that is MDL2

It looks neat.
Shame no one will ever use it.
I'm kinda sick of the built-in apps honestly

I do like the change on the status bar though

>This quote
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

?

Oh God.
Now that I think of it, I might have to eventually deal with this shit.
Fuck.

>Microsoft is working on an improved design language for Windows 10
You should know what a mess windows 10 is in terms of their ui design. They have multiple of these things in one system, it's why you have three settings applications and such shit.
>It builds upon the design language introduced with Windows 10
This is the typical 'we have three competing standards, someone should make one to rule them all' situation. It's going to be shit.
>simple and clean interfaces
Microsoft literally can't do this.
>More animations and transitions
This is the part where I posted at. Animations, like the cursor lagging behind in office and having a seconds long animation between dismissing the lock screen and getting to type in your password. In the name of abusing consumer hardware, fuck efficiency.

windows is finally usable again

it looks like windows vista

2006 tier

i dont use windows apps anyway so dont care.

it's for everything, not only apps

The only examples they have shown are windows apps. Programs that arent microsoft certified arent going to change.

This glowing line thing makes it look like some edgy theme from Deviantart.

What is the point of all this wasted space? It's going to be like Windows 8 all over again, with the next incrementation being the damage control update.

They need to fix bigger issues with Windows before this.

insider preview?

dont let him meme you he uses macOS made to look like an ugly vista desktop

>[email protected]

THEY STOLE MY SECRET FURRY EMAIL ADDRESS >:(

Complete and total rubbish. If you think that W10 in its current state has an inconsistent design, just wait until that crap gets out.
Pick one design, whichever you want, and stick with it. Now it's a hodgepodge and it's about to get even worse.

yeah insider fast track not slow

>neon

That they stole the name from KDE?

That is fucking hilarious.

Right click on anything KDE 5.x related, and it's the same theme throughout.

same background color
same font
same spacing between choices
same indentation

But then you right click in Chromium and the illusion of consistency is shattered. Because dicks.

Chromium is shit on Windows 7 too

I just want better Font rendering

install mactype

I did

>mactype

So gaussian blur counts as anti-aliasing?

I thought I needed my reading glasses.

It just looks slightly more like OS X.

...

utter garbage

lol
