I tried swapping my old CPU with an i7 6700k and exhibited the following symptoms:
>won't fully boot any os, throws page fault or similar errors
>reboots randomly even in UEFI
>reboots during memtest, sometimes quickly throws an error before rebooting
>in uefi CPU and temps look good
PC worked perfectly before, have had it for almost a year, memtest and everything ran fine. If I pop in the old cpu is works fine also.
The fuck should I do? Is the CPU bad?

i7 6700K uses quite a bit more power than the rest of the line up, reset bios, try another PSU, or another motherboard too.
Did you also tried to check VRM temp? pairing 95W K-processor on H110 is a no-go. You should've bought z170/z270

I don't see any problem in that build, i've build many "low cost" i7 pairing with H110 motherboard and there's no issue or whatsoever, and guess what? Most oem pc use cheapest motherboard chipset even tho pairing it with i7 k series, check asus g11 gaming desktop, what motherboard it use? H110...
