Meanwhile in reality...

Additional info:
Organizing the windows in W10 took me 3 seconds but 3 hours in Gnome due to its absolutely garbage window management.

ITS ALMOST

ALMOST

LIKE GNU/LINUX

IS A MEME

W O W

delet this

Don't worry, Linux apologists will say you're using the wrong config and you'll need to edit 1000 lines of code to get it right, not using their obscure ultra-haxxor distro with no support or even blame it on Wayland.

...

...

you're using the wrong config and you'll need to edit 1000 lines of code to get it right

Excellent bait, but wait a minute, that...
>VM

Into the fucking trash. It's against the rules to troll outside of Sup Forums.

Wat?

He said into the trash it goes

Did my screenshot hurt your feelings that bad?

>linux on the desktop

spoiler alert: new test results soon.

This one is supposed to be more advanced and consistent

Linux btfo? You decide...

>compares the only DE Windows has to GNOME, an environment you rarely see praised on Sup Forums
>calls it GNU/Linux at first to be purposefully misleading

Even if this isn't bait, it's a very awful post.

or we'll say that he should try i3 instead of GNOME, that he can install and run it on ANY distro, and that the default config is fine

seriously, fuck off with your misinformation

Why are you even mentioning DEs? Its a benchmark, not a UI comparison.

The "additional info" part of the OP. Did you not get that far?

Lincucks are ignoring poor benchmark performance and instead talking about their autistic window managers because of the small "comment" OP made.

top cuck.

>using cuck twice and autistic once in a single post

What do I win?

Moved to Win10 from Win8.1 , laptop seems to be overheating.
modified Time Broker to 4 in regedit and updated all drivers

anyone else have this?

>20GB

lol, he's running it in a VM, people.

Keep telling that to yourself

Not gonna waste more than 20GB of my storage on a hobby/meme OS like Linux.

>20.4 GB
>19.45 GB
>screenshots taken within less than 10 minutes of each other
>Sun Spider takes at least 1 minute
This means you would have to shutdown Windows, boot Ubuntu, open a browser, take both benchmarks, shut down Ubuntu, boot Windows 10, open a browser, then run the benchmarks again.

>inb4 autism

Not to mention taking the screenshots, and editing them, or posting them here, which takes a minute between posts unless you have a pass.

>Sun Spider takes at least 1 minute
I tried it and it takes about 15 seconds.

>>screenshots taken within less than 10 minutes of each other
where?

umm 2:57 to 3:18 is 21 minutes.

stay in school kids.

>implying a battery icon would show up in a VM
kys

Holy autism.

Okay, what are you going to say now?

The battery icon does show up, especially in GNOME 3. That's how you edit power settings without going to the global settings menu.

I just realized the partition and even disk sizes are completely different in each OS.
My disk is probably starting to die.

Yeah, nah. User error.

>using ubuntu

also how do i change the color

Love how linfags get completely BTFO in this thread

>768p
I can tell it's a legit Linux install from here.

>Linux
>garbage window management
I thought this was common knowledge by now?
also:
>2017 in the year of our lord
>Even consider using Linux as a desktop OS
great joke senpai

No you idiot he is using a virtual machine

Linux has always been garbage. Linux users will insist otherwise though, because they spent so much time on something so worthless.

> Single issue benchmarks.
> Authoritative on any grounds.

KYS.

Nope

good work senpai, as we all know the only possible way of benchmarking OS performance is by using random browser based javascript speed tests

what does it even test?

And just how long did it take you to boot and update?

no botnet browser installed so cant test that but im sure that its higher too.

Why dont you show us the versions of the software you are benchmarking OP? You are comparing oranges and showing us bannanas.

It's all literally the same versions.

Because as we all know, multi-platform browsers are heavily optimized pieces of software, and reverse-engineered community-made drivers always offer the best performance.

Frankly I'd say these benchmarks are a testament to how good Linux is given the lack of OEM support, and Linux still has less overhead, and doesn't spy on you.

But you update like once weekly and boot once daily to weekly. Not to mention win 10 boots fast AF. You arrange windows about every hour.

What is the program you use the most? Its probably your web browser.
What do you do all day? Render javascript.

It's literally the most relevant benchmark for 95% of users.

You can see how useless those benchmarks are by the huge differences between different browsers. Change a setting or use a different kind of benchmark and you get a different result. It's not indicating anything about performance aside from ability to get a particular score on that particular benchmark.

those test results dont really mean anything. they are higher on good hardware and lower on shitty hardware.

yeah but they're running on exact same hardware

Tripdubs of truth

>>calls it GNU/Linux at first to be purposefully misleading
Nah he's probably just that ignorant about it. Sounds like he's just trying it out for the first time and doesn't know fuck all about choosing a desktop environment he likes.

Loonix on suicide watch

Save this thread. Watch loonix fans sperg

I will just leave this here Wincucks and iToddlers.

>google
>twitter
>lagdroid

So you mean to say: Linux is literally the botnet?

Exactly, Linux is great everywhere except PCs

Where's the desktop?

In the trash

No, just that it's the only system capable of powering the botnet. Windows was unsuitable because of the overhead of actually being a botnet.

enjoy your botnet OS lmao

*BSD master race

>Linux is literally botnet
lincucs with defend this

>a server OS is much less optimized than the most popular and widely used Desktop OS

color me surprised. of course linuxfags dont have the manpower or intelligence to create a stable and smooth desktop experience, they're too busy forking each other in the ass

Are all Linux stupid as you guys? Now post your screenshots running the benchmarks from Windows install, all you have proven so far is your hardware is slightly better than OP's 768p craptop.

Yeah, but take note how GNU/Linux "desktop" is not on the list. Lmfao. Not a coincidence.

Wait. So let me get this straight. There's actually people here that prefer win$hit-botnet edition over any Linux distro?

I can't actually believe you people exist.

It just works and is faster. Why would I cuck myself with a buggy, bloated and slow system instead? I'm not a pedo criminal

of course, there's no way to prove either I or OP haven't just fabricated these results, but here's a taste of the variability I got using the latest firefox on win 7 vs arch linux on the same machine with the same "benchmarks"

more to come

...

this time I had chrome doing things in the background when the tests ran

and the same on linux

>/thread

>Ubuntu

my sides

Gnome sucks ass. The developers are all incompetent.

Can confirm, this test cannot be faked

i dont have windows on my devices. i use only free software.

Nice virtual machine you fucking retard

>Why would I cuck myself with a buggy, bloated and slow system instead

You probably know the answer since you possibly use windoze 10

Windows is the most functional OS to date for your average user.
Funny thing how this bloated and slow system wins most of the benchmarks.
Meanwhile most of the linux distros are stripped to the basics and still can't outperform a heavy OS like Windows lmao

Missing basic functions and still slower
That's what I call double cucked

What are you doing on Sup Forums? You belong in Sup Forums

It's a self configured system, Ubuntu doesn't ship with wayland.

/thread

>i don't know what is overhead

Even moronix try harder.

Video proof it's not a vm and use a less bloated linux distro or gtfo.

Ghanome hell support it though, but it's experimental yet.

yes, better throw it away before it explodes after all the GBytes corrupt into GiBytes

> windows management
just install other windows manager, you fucking retard

Linux: 341.2 ms + 4.6 % = 356.9 ms
Windows: 316.1 ms + 13.4 % = 358.5 ms

356.9 - 358.5 = -1.6

BTFO!
