Why not unlock it? It's not hard. Just apply through Xiaomi. Tell them your device is bricked and they'll accept it.

I had that too, you have to use the unofficial method to unlock the bootloader.
Use flash tool (can't remember it's name) to unlock bootloader
use adb to flash twrp
boot into twrp (power + volume up)
flash custom ROM of your choice
I'm using the LineageOS ROM on my note 3 pro, it's very stable.
