Guts thread

Didn't see a thread. Post 'em

bit of a mess, really need to replace the gpu desu.

>h100i
>locked processor

I don't think I'll ever build a standard atx case again unless I really need too.

>he doesn't know

Making this made me realized, I need to clean my case.

That HDD hanging is a temp drive. Getting data off it for a friend.

i saw this lastnight but never found out, what exactly do u use this for?

Hello lads

autodesk and adobe

also turbo-shitposting

It runs quietly.

I think they look a lot nicer then almost every air cooler except maybe the be quiet ones.

Can't wait to get rid of this haswell fucking fission shit. Runs hotter than hell.

Zen come to daddy :3

That thing is still a powerhouse today!
Love 1366 hexa's, pretty nice oc for a single fan rad..

Get a gtx1070 and you'll be set for another 5 years. I whould get a bigger ssd for games as well. what psu is that?

Nice mobo you got there, any oc on your i7 860?

My old x3470 does 4.2ghz on water with the good 'ole GA-P55A-UD6

...

>Expecting an AMD chip to run cool

kek

ye the x5650 is pretty much the best bang for buck 1366 cpu out there. sold off my old 920 and some ram to buy the x5650 and i couldnt be happier.

pretty shitty enermax 500w psu, wanting to swap that, the gpu and get a bigger ssd/hdd.

TELL ME EVERYTHING YOU KNOW ABOUT OVERCLOCKABLE XEONS

p similar to their i7 counterparts or w/e

My mobo software has an options for a full 1GHz overclock.
And it worked. I was very scared.

>changes BLCK

have fun with your reduced lifespan.

I ran it for like 30 minutes. The resting temp was like 55c.

i mean hey it's your money to waste do what you want i'm just some jabroni on the internet

Long time no post. Still just werks

Custom loop when

Server or gaymen?

I like it.

Way too much maintenance for me. I'm more for putting my energy into nice looking cables over a fancy loop.

gaymen. gonna replace the 7950 later on in the year.

>he can stand the sound of an h100i V2 at more than 800rpm

git fugged on github

6600k @4ghz
16gb ddr4
1070 strix
480gb ssd
2tb hdd

Should I keep my HAF or get a newer case? I have amazing temps, I was doing 4.5ghz on my 6600k with my 212+ at 62C. I have 200mm intake, 120mm door fan, 200mm exhaust, and 120mm exhaust, and dual 120 on the 212+
It's almost silent sitting under my desk.

waiting for Ryzen to get this updated

Do you really need that much porn?

R8 or H8

Also, would you change anything about it regarding airflow?

Just have the one case fan and the h100i at the front.

Put the rad at the top you cuck and the one fan in the front

gutsu desu

But I like having the top sealed so dust doesn't settle in when it's turned off/etc. and I like using the top as storage for cables and boxes and shit :(

what do you guys think?

R8?

A year old now.

...

>seagate
JUST

3570k here also. Why do you need to upgrade?

>boxing in the psu/hdds
>blocking the bottom intake fans
why do shit casess do this?

>1600w
>no intake
>unless you're using the hot as fuck gpu rads as intakes
LOL

Not OP but how hot do you think HDDs get?
Also the front intake fan isn't blocked off in the front of the Enthoo Evlov matx and there are no bottom intake fan mounts to block off.

I run a Plex server off this machine and an my 3570k barely handles one realtime 4K transcode.

Not him but I did something similar with a hotter card, R9 290, and everything was fine. PC components aren't as delicate as you may think.

sorry meant to quote

...

It really doesn't, especially with those Corsair fans.

There is an intake below the case with a filter there. Also the GPUs never exceed 50 degrees anyway. Not to mention the PSU doesn't even run the fan unless it gets hot enough which given the system its already overkill so it never does.

You be better pointing out the fact that the rad is blasting 4 harddrives at the bottom. Its not too bad though, considering the rad is in push pull - 140mm push to 120mm pull.

>Also the GPUs never exceed 50 degrees anyway
>gpus that would otherwise hit 80 on air
you're dumping that much heat into your case
or creating a negative pressure system starving your out takes of airflow.

Ah icic. I have the exact same problem

>negative pressure system
Not really. There is another 120mm intake in the 5.25 HD cage at the top. Also I've turned off the rear 140mm fan after testing and it does have positive pressure.

As long as the system can vent the heat fast enough its not a big problem. The rear fan does turn on if it needs to dump heat and the upper dual 140mm fans rev-up when they need to dump heat as well.

Not to mention EVGA's hybrid system still includes blower fans as well.

>overclock cpu
>random bsod's
>overclock gpu
>games crash

fuck overclocking

None of your ricer shit can even come close to the class of my 1999 Compaq.

I'll see your Compaq and raise you an MDG.

>no rear fan
>COOLER IS EJECTING HOT AIR INTO CASE
>NO REAR FAN

hurrhurr

so you're sucking in all the hot air from the gpu/psu fans...

shitty pic but heres mine

you shouldn't overclock if you don't know how to test for stability.
NOOB.
>slight clock up
>test for stability
>stable? continue upping and checking until it's unstable
>raise voltage until stable
rinse and repeat until you're at your thermal limit

the psu works as a rear fan dumbass.

>you're sucking in all the hot air from the gpu
True but frankly I don't see any other arrangement that is physically possible. Keep in mind this is a full tower case.

I've been using it over a year and there haven't been any problems so, other then the fans being surprisingly loud.

...

Brand new

Socket 1156/1366 was the last socket to support open overclocking via baseclock. You could overclock ANY cpu.

There is no problems in changing the baseclock of the older uncucked platforms, the pcie clock was seperate.

my meme machine

X99 is nearly 99% identical to x58 in terms of overclocking rule set.

Overclock on that i5 760? Had one that did 4ghz on a big phanteks air cooler a few years ago.

With a gtx 1070 you'll be set for years to come if you dont play the most cpu intensive games.. (tho it holds up with pretty much all games still)

That psu is lookin old as fuck.

Christ. That space utilization.

What case is that? Lookin good.

so you can just buy a 12core xeon and overclock it? or even a 6core non-k? or any non-k?

I have never heard of this.

I did, I stopped it though. At the time I was playing Crysis 2 and strangely it would cause the audio to de-sync and I couldn't understand why. I put the system to bed a year ago though. It could still play games reasonable well.

I replaced it with .
