This was the best mixture of flat and 3D UI

This was the best mixture of flat and 3D UI

what's flat about this ui.

xp sp2 / office 2003 will always be GOAT

95 was better, since it didnt have that shit on the left.

Also icons (large, small, or tiles) are shit, should be list or details.

It looks like this because the elements were generated from pure code without any assets

it's not bad if I genuinely liked XP's UI, right
pic will always look dull and cold to me

That doesn't look 3D.

bezels

>terrible Fisher-Price design that marks the start of putting form over function

It is bad no matter what your nostalgia says.

>pure code
haskell used in world's leading OS confirmed

I prefer pic related.

Were you able to set a custom background on Windows 2000?

yes you could, though the default ones were not bad either
>that castle one
>that tropical beach one
>that winter one

>mixing 2d with 3d
disgusting

I agree 2K had the best UI

i miss 2k

If you collect 90's software and games then you have a perfect reason to use it

you can disable that by unchecking "View as Web Page" and then going to Folder Options -> View and pressing "Like this folder". It applies the setting globally and its just like Win95 again.

No, not at all. You couldn't until Windows Vista.

yes you could, fucking dumbass, how is this even a question?

absolutely

I prefer pic related.

...

>purposely imitating the useless bloat icons that everyone with a brain deleted immediately on actual win9x systems
what did pretty much every 9x ricer ever mean by this
also
>that USB device notification

"Inbox" icon is a shortcut to my email client
"The Internet" is a shortcut to Firerox

The only bloat icons are the microsoft network and my briefcase.

can see the excuse for inbox but not really the rest of it, even on actual 9x I rarely even have any desktop icons at all
