Do they really expect you to cover 360 degrees while watching videos? Why isn't there any SFW content other than Kpop videos? Is it only good for simulation games?

I think so, user. There are a few big draws for people to VR. Games are one big one. Porn is another big one.
Then there's sports and tv in general too. Realtime 3D modelling and texturing is becoming a thing now though the use of cameras only, which means people can be incredibly immersed and on the field with their favorite team or on the stage with their talk show host.

Just face it, people only want to play shooting games or have great quality, interactive porn, and VR will eventually become full-body suspended suits designed to accommodate all 5 senses. Games are already a reality for head sets, so that just leaves porn. So i predict that we will successfully grow an artifical human (which can be sold) before the creation of an AI capable of suiting the needs in full body VR systems. it'll basically be a digital purgatory, or perhaps something closer to heaven, a way to keep generations of unemployables occupied as they age and die, preventing reproduction, until there is again a manageable population on the planet.
VR is absolutely happening and it's going to be great. It's going to end rioting, protesting, civil disobedience, it'll put an incredible dent in crimes of desperation. VR is going to save our world.

actually, for that matter, more than likely the remaining white collar jobs will also be accessed through the metaverse. at the very least, the "office park" will, for the most part, cease to exist. commuting to work for a desk job will probably die off as a concept within the next 20 years. need to go to an office meeting? metaverse. company-issued VR units will be as common as Lenovo Thinkpads. people on Sup Forums will probably argue over which Lenovo VR unit is the most aesthetic.

There's a good number of VR H-games that got VR updates/mods/releases since the beginning of 2016 and I will say that this year is going to be a good time to own a VR headset.

VR will end up taking off, but it will be a slow process as the technology improves. The only thing that will really catapult VR mainstream early would be high quality VR porn (and devices to go with it) at a price affordable by the middle class. Games are great and all, but VR really only works for first person games, which is just a small slice of the game market. Unless they can make photorealistic VR, where you can just simulate sitting in front of a TV and playing on a console without it feeling out of place. But that is still a ways off. We'd need 120Hz 4K VR headsets and GPUs that can handle that load if we truly want photorealistic VR. That kind of tech is probably ~10 years off.
