Maybe.

What are you going to be using it for?

yes because retards like you fund the industry

buy it and never figure out how to properly use it

Programming

elaborate

It's currently the best monitor for pixel density and productivity.

No GUI scaling is required in windows and you can have 4 1080p things open at once, or have 1/3rd of the screen for terminal/text editor, then the rest for web browser, movie, chat windows, etc, etc.

Like having multiple monitors without bezels.

Why not a cheaper but similarly sized monitor, and use a tiling wm?

You're just going to watch Chinese cartoons on it while shitposting Sup Forums.

>tfw waiting for 32:9

Pointless until Chinese cartoons are produced in 4K.

What cheaper similar sized monitors exist with that pixel density?

Also, it's just advertised as a multi client monitor, it doesn't do anything special, it's just 4k resolution so you can have 4x1080p sources if you want.

just

With small Chinese eyes they already look 4K. Will not be improved upon.

>tfw waiting for ultrawide 8k for VR headsets and I can have a virtual desktop

I don't see why not. Consider it a business investment.

Buy a decent Samsung TV with 4:4:4 chroma

No. It has a well known issue that will drive you insane.

A power "feature" that causes flickering depending on where your Contract/Brightness levels are at.

This is a well known issue and that is why Dell is slashing the price on this otherwise amazingly specced behemoth.

>4:4:4 chroma

How does this help? specifically for a non-gaymers

Separate but related question: I want a nice big screen I can install in my office that I just use for viewing excel/r/chrome whatever. Should I just grab a cheap 32" TV?

You'll be wanting to rip your eyes out in no time. Especially if it's some shitty 720p TV.

Absolutely.

You can get your 1080p monitors and vesa mount them in a single configuration and set up eyefinity as you like, but the price premium more than justifies the convenience of having an all in one accuracy.

These particular panels are (obviously) IPS and have great viewing angles.

Watching 4k on them is fun too.

The multi-client gimmick is great if you have multiple systems connected concurrently (look into synergy for mouse/clipboard sharing), you can set up a mac, windows, linux box etc. to a single monitor, making it invaluable for any power user.

disclaimer I am a Dell Shill

We'll finally have a way to watch hidamari sketch the way it was meant to be watched.

4:4:4 chroma is for best quality colors/res

It's for proper text rendering.

Adding to this. Just get one of the "B stock" Korean monitors off ebay.

I've had mine for two years and it's great. You can overclock it as well (have mine at 120hz at the moment).

lmao interesting, probably the first product that is cheaper in my country than US, by quite a lot(200$)

Fuck you, now i want it but i still can't aford it

I wouldn't mate, looks like someone has drawn a bunch of squiggly lines on the screen.

It's for proper text rendering like they said, it's complete ass without it

There are korean monitors as well that are 40" 4k, some TVs work fine as well
