Whats the lowest and highest temperatures your CPU got during normal usage, Sup Forums? Are you satisfied with your cooler?

Just being curious.

This is an FX-6300

Lowest: 6 degrees centigrade, using a £9 ($11) cooler.

Highest: 54 degrees, was while video editing, which I do a fair bit.

How do I get my comp to run cooler? Even while idle it runs at high 20's to low 30's and when playing anything intensive (for example the new Doom) it skyrockets to 60-65. I bought a $10 fan hoping it would help but it doesn't seem to be, it's OK now that it's winter but during summer I am afraid to play anything intensive

Those temps aren't bad, but if you're going to obsess over it buy a bigger heat sink.

your ambient room temp probably like 20-30c.

I seem to always be at ~50C

No idea about what CPU you are using, but 60-65 is very nice temperature during heavy load.

For latest Intel CPUs, 20-30 is considered fine "light" and idle temperatures, 50-60 - "medium" load and 70-80 - "heavy". This varies of course - in this case, of 6700k, "throttle" temperature is being set to 100C by default but good cooler is expected to hold around 60-70C under max load and stock frequency.

I'm always hitting 160-190 farenheit. On my laptop. With one of these bestbuy.com/site/targus-dual-fan-chill-mat-cooling-system/8848369.p?id=1219371616011&skuId=8848369&ref=212&loc=1&ksid=0ed5dc28-33d9-4b04-89ce-821b0f27ccbf&ksprof_id=8&ksaffcode=pg199014&ksdevice=m&lsft=ref:212,loc:2

27-57°C. Its a be quiet! shadow rock LP.
Aside from the retarded installation process and the cooler touching (or almost touching) ram sticks ,im very happy about it.

My CPU and GPU temps are fine but my mobo overheats if I play vidya. It'll eventually shut the whole computer down due to overheating. Also the temperature reader thing is broken too.

I'd really like to buy a new CPU just so I could get rid of this thing, but I can't really justify sinking hundreds of yuropcoins into new cpu + mobo + ram for such a small performance boost.

i5 6500:
Lowest: 11°C
Highest: 30°C
No matter what I do with it, it won't go above 30°C. Might be because of my fuckhueg watercooler on such an underpowered chip.

On stock cooler, my 6400 without overclock would stay

old laptop: normally about 70, going above 100 under heavy load
current laptop: 45-50 normally, about 75 when stressed

Stuck a q6600 in this thing, stock cooler is a 5 pound brick thats somehow cooled by two 70mm fans

Maxes out at 48-50°c

Lowest i ever got was when testing my sisters athlon 5350 on its box in my kitchen while i was airing it out, because i burnt a pizza, so the windows were open and it was like 15°f outside, so i got a temp of 2°c on idle

>Alpenföhn Brocken 2

Basically always around 20-30°C, depending on the time of year.

i7 4790k @ 4.4Ghz
idle 30°C~35°C
highest 55°C~65°C
cooled with a Corsair H80i

It's been a while since I touched anything in BIOS and after reading the thread I could bump it with no problem to 4.6Ghz and it will sit idle at 37°C.
I'm thinking to go back to stock for a while to see if there's any noticeable difference in temps and performance.

Lowest 22c
Highest 67c
4.5GHz OC
4690K
Noctua D15
Case Fractal Design

I have the whole PC running passively part from the CPU fans running at just 300RPM.
So when the PC has been on for a long time the heat accumulates in the case.

I'm VERY satisfied with this cooler.
There are a few others in the same performance class, for a slightly cheaper price, so look up D15 benchmarks and you'll see the competing coolers you can choose from as well.

FX-8320

Lowest was 9c idle

Highest was 50c vidya

So around 33c then.
The sensor on AMD chips are known to show insanely inaccurate temps.

Calculate delta temps and you notice that those sub 15c temps are always wrong.

No it was 9c

I have watercooling

So it was under 50°f where this pc was running?

Overwatch for half an hour on integrated graphics.

Also, 212x. Most I've gotten is around 40 really. It's alright.

Its been hotter

Lowest: 57-58-ishC
Highest: 100C
>inb4 inevitable housefire
My sensors are fucked on Arch Linux, it might be reporting in Fahrenheit or something else, I know because when I wake this computer up from Suspend it always shows 49-50C temperature.
t. Dirty, smelly, AMD netbook scum

in my room last summer

It was like 75f

But like I said, its watercooled. I don't see the big deal here.

comfy

no big deal, you are either stupid or a lier. That's why they told you what your minimum temp could been actually.

>you are either stupid or a lier

I'm not stupid or a "lier"

It's what it said, I'm not gonna trust some Sup Forumstards over speccy

Idiot.

Temps are fine, cpu is shit.

Everything for me stays below 35 C because I have a modified video card, case, and coolers.

It's nothing special, but I'm happy with it. And it's silent, so that's what I care about. I don't play video games or anything like that so I can't give you a stress test, but I'm very happy. Especially since it's an older budget build.

On my 4790k @ 4.7ghz with a NH D15
>Lowest
After a fresh cleaning it hit 24 C on idle, usually is 26-27

>Highest
Never seen it go over 56 C during normal use.

Nigga its not jusf opinions its science

You cant cool something below air temperature using air.

Water cooling included, the radiator is cooled to air temperature

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO bro here.

i5 4690 + Hyper212x

>Ambient 30°C
>Idle ~35°C
>Max ~55°C

Love it mengs

nough

OP here, reading about your temperatures range makes me a bit jelly. I mean, the cooler I use is NH-U12S and I get to 65C during heavy load. Thats without overclocking too.

Not to hijack bit have anyone of you had cpu's withstuck temp sensors?
My Cuo2Quard Q8200 had core 0 and 2 stuck at 56c but the other two worked fine (between 29 and 53c on a passive cooled scythe ninja 1 btw)

8350 @ 4.6ghz/1.472v
low (idle): 32c
high (load): ~56c
ambient is somewhere around 28c

Cooler is a h110i gtx with NF-A14 (3k) at 1200rpm/35% with my side panel off otherwise negative pressure really messes with it, or so I think.

Stop it, you fucking retard.
