If you're in a position of overall authority over operating systems, could you fix Linux's laptop support?
I've lost count of how many kernel releases have broken the power management on my 5 year old laptop somehow. Almost tempted to go LTS and suffer the old ass compilers, libs and GPU drivers when developing.
I think there was 1 release a couple of years ago where almost just worked, but DRI3 was hopelessly broken on it.
