>laptops without numberpads
FUCKING TOPLEL
>laptops without numberpads
FUCKING TOPLEL
yes, laptops exist under 15.6 inches
>W510
>under 15.6 inches
HHHAHHAHHEOHUHHAOEHHAHHAHHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAA
I didn't say that was smaller. Parts sharing among models will cause this, that's likely a keyboard from a 13.3 or 14 inch model. look at dell's Inspiron 7000 15 right now, it uses the 13.3's keyboard
are you okay my dude?
What's the point? If you're using a number pad, you're probably doing office work with a bunch of papers spread all over the desk, so you would just use a desktop and full size keyboard.
I fucking hate numpads. I don't wanna shift my hand to the left for a piece of shit numpad I'm never gonna use.
Numpad is for accountants/data entry
On a laptop it sets the keys off center from the screen
Don't be dumb
It has number pads fag
never understood number pads.
i've typed way faster than my number pad buds on the top number row...
this
I don't mind using a USB numpad.
I bet you dont even rebind your capslock
Glad my laptop has a number pad. How the fuck else am I supposed to fly shit in GTAV?
W510 owner here, I fucking hate that it doesn't have one yet instead has those stupid fucking speakers on the sides. The worst part is those speakers go bad because the wiring (especially on the left speaker) is unshielded and ran right over the fucking gpu heatsink.
I love my W510 but there are a few major fucking faults, the numpadless keyboard is one, the house fire first gen i7 is the other
>i bought a laptop and didn't research it
IKR lol!
No laptop is perfect and at the time I was swapping out my desktop for a laptop as I was emigrating, back then that i7 was still decent and I didn't think the lack of a numpad was bother me too much
fair enough
>Needing a second set of keys that ruin ergonomics because you're too retarded to touch type the number row
Except that numpads are on the right.
He is from england
using mouse hand to hit numpad
> numpad
> shifting your whole keyboard to the left
> typing at a 30-degree angle like an imbecile
Yeah, sure
>Numpads!
Cause data-entry for peanuts is FTW?
Some software use numpad as shortcut. Blender use it for navigation :
2,4,6,8 : navigation
5 perspective
1,3,7 : X/Y/Z view
0 : toggle camera view
9 : opposite view
numberpads are gay
>laptops without 15 inch OLED screens
TOPJEJ
Pomf!
I tried actually learning to use the numpad, down to touch typing. It feels pretty good but I honestly never have to type so many raw numbers and I don't see myself ever needing to in the future.
>He is from england
Number pads are on the fucking right on all standard keyboards.
Just cuz we drive on the wrong side doesn't mean everything is fucking flipped.
>laptops with numpads
Who needs those in a laptop? Are you an accountant? I even use TKL on my desktop. It's much more comfy.
best solution
since optical drive is infrequently used
>instead of another SSD for RAID
>or another SHDD for storage
Is this real? I tried to find it but this is the only image that pops up and I can't find any info on it.
I like the idea a lot.
>laptop over 14"
Just get a desktop
These
Numpads should die from laptops, I hate having fewer options just because I won't keep my wrists in a weird uncomfortable angle.
I bet you only play games and browse facebook on your laptop you faggot. Numberpads are a godsend for those of us who actually have a job and don't shitpost on Sup Forums all day.
squishing your hands over to the left to do a lot of writing is lame. I want a good tenkeyless eventually for my desktop too because with limited space on the desk, I have to move my mouse away to center the keyboard if I want to write a bunch.
If you work on a computer, you have a desktop
If your boss makes you work on a laptop, he obviously doesn't give a shit about his employees' health
It's real but I'd for older IBM thinkpads. I think the T40 supported it.
What a shame. Typing numbers on the numpad is fun
Lol because all work ALWAYS happens at a desk and people NEVER have to travel for work.
Try and touch type a long series of numbers on a normal keyboard with no numpad, then try it on a numpad, see which one is more comfortable.
Unless you're in Australia*
>all work ALWAYS happens at a desk and people NEVER have to travel for work.
Yes
This is all true, what of it?
>Wanting a numpad on a laptop
It makes the rest of the keyboard small and shitty to type on unless you get a 17" laptop which defeats the purpose. If you seriously need a numpad you can get a usb numpad, have a more comfortable keyboard, and a better quality numpad.
Numpads on laptops are stupid.
How does a laptop somehow become useless if it's 17"?
You know "laptop" is just a name and you don't actually have to keep the fucking thing on your lap the whole time, right?
There's these things, called tables and desks, you can set the laptop down on those, now it doesn't matter HOW big it is.
>inb4 JUST GET A DESKTOP THEN
Okay, so I should just lug around a tower, monitor, cables, keyboard, mouse, and all the other shit instead of just bringing a laptop with me, gotcha!
I guess user meant the offset keyboard.
>numpad on a laptop
>is fucking cramped and useless
>implying you travel for work
