GAMING RAM

Jesus Christ, I get that people like nice looking hardware, but this is just grotesque.

This would go great with my gaming PSU and gaming optical drives

>RGB RAM
Holyyyyyyyy fuck. What's next?

>current year
>optical drives

Do you even gaming cloud brah?

It's OK, I burn my shit onto gaming CDs too. Much faster

There's a lot more homosexuals in the open today who like to flaunt their sexuality and like to expose their flaming faggotry to everyone else... so that's why all these RGB, or as I like to call them, RGBT, keyboards are becoming so popular.

if you see a kid with a led keyboard, don't get close unless you want to catch AIDS.

Remember when some things didnt have LEDs on them?

Good times, good old times,
I fucking hate all this light pollution in my room, i coiuld keep my PC on at night if components without LEDs fucking existed.

JUST WHY IS EVERYTING A CHRISMASS TREE NOW?

>rainbow colors
>gayming ram

what did they mean by this?

...

>Sup Forums makes fun of gaming RBG ram
>...
>see it in every build in the next battlestation and guts thread

Your fault nigger they make plenty of components that don't have LED's in them, you were just too fucking dumb to buy them and went with meme hardware instead.

Literally nobody to blame but yourself and if it pissed you off that much you'd just cut the LED's off.

Duh. These same people tell you to fuck off to /reddit/ but almost certainly spend just as much time there as they do here.

>g.shill ram

The sample is skewed because most people don't post pictures of their warstation. Most adults don't have windows in their cases either.

Who gives a shit, for fucks sake. I don't get theads like this. If you don't like something you don't need to buy it. There's thousands of alternatives to choose from. Maybe people who like having pretty guts are more interested in this stuff, who knows. At the very least the company is trying out new products to see if there's a market for rgb ram sticks.

>the kind of people who unironically call their PC components "guts"

>I'M AN ADULT WHICH MEANS I ONLY ENJOY SUPER SERIOUS STUFF LIKE SPREADSHEETS AND I AM REQUIRED TO THINK ANYTHING THAT PEOPLE YOUNGER THAN ME IS DUMB EVEN THOUGH I'M PROBABLY BARELY 25

This just in: Sup Forums has a festering superiority complex and will look for literally any reason to try and make themselves look like the smartest and most grown-up person in the room.

>the kind of people who unironically call their PC "rig"

>$130 for 2x8GB 2400MHz
I'm pretty sure I paid about that for a 4x8GB kit of Corsair Vengeance.
So apparently $1 worth of LEDs = 2x price markup.

Gaming nosse when

>the kind of people who unironically act superior while posting images of anime girls

RGB BIOS

Looks like a good marketing strategy OP.

Bling up the 16-18-18-38 sht and clear it out to folks who care more about shiny shiny than loose timings.

Apple have been doing it for years.

>individually sleeved power cables
Why do people do this? It doesn't even look that good.

>2027
>All motherboards now require an external battery pack that fits in the hard drive slot to keep all the rainbow mounting hole RGBs on 24/7

What are you talking about it's literally just the RipJaw series with different heat spreaders and leds added.

underrated

But why people want shiny pieces of hardware?
Why the fuck the people sacrifice fucntionality for aesthetic?

Even the romans would have liked anime
G.T.F.O.

What are you sacrificing in this situation?

No really, what are you losing by buying RGB ram that has the exact same tech specs as the RipJaw series with different heat spreaders that only costs about 20 bucks more, besides the "respect" of a bunch of neet faggots on an anime board?

>WWWAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH WHY DO PEOPLE SPEND MONEY ON THINGS I DONT LIKE EVERYONE SHOULD JUST BE LIKE MEEEEEEEEE

Or you know.. its just the trident Z series with LEDs

You're sacrificing 20 bucks, then.

And it's going to be your fault!

I've seen people here with rigs that have spent money on colored cable sleeves

Ah there you go. Same difference really since the specs are identical.

So it's even less retarded than was trying to imply because it's literally just RAM that already exists and performs well with LED's added.

What a dipshit argument. You could make that same lame-ass argument about literally anything.

Some people like things that look nice, go fucking figure.

>Why did you paint your house instead of leaving it grey and unpainted?

I wanted a different color

>LOL RETARD YOU JUST SACRIFICED MONEY

And sleeved cables are MUCH more expensive (most sets go for $50+) and retarded than some ram with lights on it.

>Why did you pay 1/5th more for your house?
>It was a holiday house, you idiot, just look at the Christmas lights.

>Being so poor that 20 bucks is significant to you

>Getting butthurt about people mocking idiots... Oh sorry... I meant "target consumer"

>Making fun of a poor sperglord means you're butthurt

Now turn the page on your "Big Book of Sup Forums canned responses" and accuse me of being fat or something.

Why not buy ECC RAM instead?
You know, with a tangible advantage.

Being butthurt makes you butthurt, homo

You mean CMYK?

Because most users aren't running a fucking server and will never see any true advantage from ECC ram.

Just keep doubling down on being retarded, it's really becoming of you.

CMYK is for print, genius.

more like YMCK

You will never see a true advantage from RGB RAM, lol.
>server
Professional workstations all use ECC

Rizen delayed until 2018 to implement RGB technology.

See, at least that makes more sense than RGBT.

Except for the fact that it's more aesthetically pleasing, which is advantageous to normal consumers who don't look for validation from faggots.

Most users aren't on workstations either, and if you were you wouldn't even be considering this RGB shit.

It's fucking depressing that this has to be explained to someone who's supposed to be over 18.

Didn't know this was a thing, I thought cables were sleeved so that cable management was easier? You know, so you can easily cable tie one bunch of cables instead of 24 loose cables.

>you wouldn't even be considering this RGB shit.
>implying I am

Sleeving does literally nothing for cable management it's purely aesthetic.

No you're just bellyaching about the fact that it even exists even though you know for a fact you're not the target audience.

Do you complain about fucking Barbie toys too?

Bro. Stop getting so upset.

Put down your Gold MacBook Retina Pro and take a walk.

>gamers of Sup Forums mock Apple users for appreciating design
>put fifteen thousand RGB lights all over the place

u mad u mad u mad u mad u mad u mad u mad u mad u mad u mad u mad u mad u mad u mad u mad u mad u mad u mad

Jesus it's like arguing with a fucking Parakeet.

RGB CPU when?

I'ma buy these. Thanks for sharing OP.

Don't know about you people but when I use a computer, I look at the screen, not my RAM.

RGB Capacitor
RGB VRM
RGB Heatsink
RGB Chokes
RGB Ports

RGB Muthafuckin yourself goiz

Idiot. The RGB lights aren't for YOU. It's so other people can look at your sick gaymeng peesee and know how 1337 you are.

Lmao, calm down, kid, before you implode

Get a new reply, kiddo.
You're the most boring person I've talked to in days.
Is this how you talk in real life? Just accusing everyone of being upset as soon as they make a valid point that you're dumb as mud?

If you aren't using liquid cooled RAM, you may as well kill yourself.

Here's some free advice, beta boy

Don't call someone stupid when you're overpaying for (((gaming))) RAM, kid

>Calling someone else beta while you jerk off to anime porn
>Thinking anyone gives even the smallest possible fraction of a fuck about your opinion

>Costs $20 more
>For the same ram

That's what you're sacrificing. I'd much rather use that $20 to get slightly faster ram or something. Repeat for the motherboard, video card, ect and soon you've saved $80 by not getting the leds versions and can have a better cpu or gpu.

Or you know, you could just be not poor and enjoy all of that at once.

Not everybody has to count their pennies, poor boy.

Could you be more upset right now?

Do you always cry when people have opinions that hurt you?

Still sticking with "u mad" , eh?

Broken record-ass nigga.

I'm just going to start replying to your garbage with pasta since you want to play the parrot game.

Hey! We are Number 1 Hey! We are Number 1 Now listen closely Here's a little lesson in trickery This is going ⬇ down ⬇ in history If you wanna be a Villain Number 1 You have to chase a superhero on the run Just follow my moves, and sneak around Be careful not to make a sound Shh No, don't touch that! >Only poor people would care about $80 in leds
>Nobody would ever choose extra performance over lights at any budget

It's about using that money for extra performance. No matter what if you spend $80 on lights that's $80 more you could use for better performance.

Where are you pulling $80 from the ram is literally 20 bucks more than the non-led version.

And not everybody gives a shit about having a bunch of performance overhead they'll never take advantage of.

I know it's surprising to hear but not every computer needs a fucking 1080 and an i7.

>accuses someone else of being mad about other peoples' opinions
>bitching about a product he has no intention of buying

the irony is fucking palpable

>Sleeving does literally nothing for cable management it's purely aesthetic.
I used to think so too until I got a PSU with sleeved cables. Then I realised how finicky unsleeved cables actually are in comparison. The ATX cable can be held in place with one single cable tie, as opposed to several along the length of the cables to keep the blasted things organised.

/fa/ has subverted Sup Forums over the last few years

I can smell the asshurt coming off the LED guy.

If I may interject for a moment

Literally every time someone shows pics of stuff like this and posts 'LEL LOOK HOW MATURE I AM I DONT BUY THIS I BUY FLAT GREY EVERYTHING' they're missing the point. RGB means that the color scheme is user configurable for people who want something other than ADD BLANDNESS SO MACHOOR ffs, the whole Christmas tree routine is a DEMO you Mongs.

Not to mention at least a third of f y'all dickmages just do it to posture and look "cool" for anonymous faggots on the internet

...

>inb4 u mad

These fucking spergs think just because something isn't appealing to them it has no place in society.

If we all listened to their advice the fucking race would die out because everybody would be fucking anime body pillows.

>fucking anime body pillows

Japs got the ram early. Here's some footage.

Keep in mind, the RGB controller software isnt out until next month, so its all just blasting ranbow stream 24/7

So am I the only faggot who is going to publicly say they kind of want?

OP here, I don't do that.

OP here, again... I actually do generally buy whatever is cheapest and not some shitty off-brand. Usually that is in fact G.Skill. I did the same with mechanical keyboards, and ended up with a Rosewill RGB80, which is just as ricey. I just find it odd that people will eat up products that are designed to be stylish when they're going to be in a metal box under a desk.

Looks gross and I'm not a fan of this RGB fad. I've seen good hardware for good prices that I'd buy if it weren't for this rainbow shit.

>Just set and go. Programmed with the latest Intel XMP 2.0 profiles, the only thing between you and extreme performance is a simple click in the BIOS.
>the only thing between you and extreme performance is a simple click in the BIOS.
>click in the bios
>click

i hate the future

Debating cancelling my order because if I ever want to upgrade to 32gb, its going to look like a giant brick flashlight.

then again, maybe its just the shitty angle and bloom from camera, this doesnt look THAT bad.

where are the LED's tho?

yeah, that's what i was getting at, i was a bit ranty but in many ways, the move away from fixed colorschemes and toward RGB is good for everyone. I posted before that for example a color neutral motherboard with RGB lighting is the perfect balance between subtle and rice-y

Real old keyboards do clicky sounds, mr. """oldfag""" aka reddit.

Rosewill is a shitty off brand though

DIRECTLY CONNECT AN LED TO CMOS BATTERY

...

They've had RGB ram for years, even fluorescent tube ram

>Apple is gay
>RGB LEDs are not

>RGB ram only capable of literally RED BLUE GREEN
As opposed to 16 million colors from gskills rgb ram

I know your memeing, but allowing gays to literally take over and control the use of beautiful spectrums of colors is the most cucked thing you can do as a human with eyeballs.

that looks incredible. i just wish the cas and timings were better, and that they came in silver/black

I believe the the left side of the ram is silver, so its literally silver/black

good. im definitely gonna pick these up for my upcoming 7700k/1080ti build :^)
