Only the best layout

May laptop is ISO my mechkey is ANSI

Can I borrow someone's rope

Ansi is better, in other layouts enter looks like potato

thats still the iso layout

L shape. It's subjectively superior.

which one is objectively better?

iso, because that's all I ever used.

ISO is better for laying pipes

I've used ISO for over 20 years, and I've only tried ANSI once. It was terrible.

Definitely ANSI layout.

I have ISO layout and it is dicks. There's absolutely no benefit in having a tall return key when you touch type, you're on a single row anyway.

This one senpai

ANSI

ISO's for fucking commies.

>short shift
absolutely disgusting

ISO MASTER RACE

ANSI A SHIT

ANSI return key is the only way to go

well, I use this

disgusting backspace

Short shift > short backspace

i personally prefer the ANSI layout.
I have no need for a larger enter key, and i don't miss any keys or characters either.

ANSI on my laptop, ISO on my PC.

because you fell for the thinkpad meme, am i right?

ANSI Dvorak

I have something almost as bad, a Japanese layout.

It doesn't have the symbols on the right hand side of the keys though.

>inb4 small backspace
>making mistakes
*laughing anime girls*

American National Standard

I'd say ANSI but then I would be wrong

There's not an objectively better layout. Use the one you're most used to

>tfw really want the Xiaomei laptop but I don't want ANSI

YES BOY

ITS UPSIDE DOWN WHAT THE FUCK SAMSUNG COME ON CHINKS

The bigger the better, as they say.

UK layout is best layout!

Neither.

What are these two keys, that cockblocking the spacebar for?

the long spacebar was making japs uncomfortable

ISO layout makes it weird for typing in a backward slash and a pipe.

There really is no need for a massive return key.

Kanji conversion keys. My space bar isn't that short though because my conversion keys are the size of letter keys and I don't have a second context menu key.

I thought that at first when I started using Linux and started programming but it's actually great. I always have trouble second guessing the position of the correct bracket/curly bracket to use though so I'd hate to have to reach for it in the top right.

Also hash/tilde together next to enter > your layout.

The only correct one.

upper one is a non standard fyi

Get out of here chinkpad shill.

>oh, be nice

Seriously, I've used the older ThinkPad keyboards, and my work machine is a T430, so I spend an awful lot of time with this one (including typing this message on it right now). Can't fault it, the change in layout takes literally a day to get used to, and it just provides a much nicer typing experience.

T*20 fags, get over yourself.

see

ISO it's an international standard for a reason

Ching chong I miss gommunism

Why are the international versions of keyboards then all ansi? Seriously, US keyboards are dumped on the international market, when most of those countries use ISO. It's just retarded.

>asks question that's 100% dependent on personal preference
>"hurr durr, which is best"

>international standard
>personal preference
get out.

You can have a personal preference for something that is shit.

And you know what they say: the great thing about standards is there's so many to choose from.

That's ridiculous! We should invent a new standard that will overrule all previous ones due to it's superiority!

We can do it /gee/

I wouldn't have an issue with that keyboard except for the PrintScreen key being where it is, that's just fucking retarded key placement and Lenovo should be fucking ashamed of doing that.

Fuck you, Lenovo.

ANSI, fuck ISO and QWERTZ keyboards

ISO master race reporting in

/thread

I'll see your piece of shit modern thinkpad keyboard and raise you this

can't ever be the best keyboard though, that fn and ctrl swap is awful despite ctrl actually being in a nice place to hit when still on the home row

I have ANSI on my laptop
ISO is objectively better, on ANSI the most used key has the same dimension and feel of shift and \ and that's retarded.

I have it mapped for Italian keyboard for accents and I often miss the ú and press enter so my messages end stupidly with a cut word

Only the best

ISO sucks for programing, but that big enter is comfy.

The ANSI is definitely the ANSI one

makes me vomit

As someone who was froced to use a ISO layout for all my life, I can guarantee that ANSI is objectively superior.

I only miss the Ñ, and honestly fuck spanish what a garbage of language.

L Shaped / ISO

this laptop also has a numpad

I feel like I want to puke

chiclet keyboards make me hard
i bet the buttons are really soft

The one on the bottom. Thank GOD

BIG ENTER SMALL LEFT SHIFT

UK ISO or bust desu

>the most used key has the same dimension and feel of shift
the backspaces are the same on both

Both are legacy trash

Its on the edge of the keyboard so its easy to hit either way. You don't see people complaining about Esc being too small.

link your caps pls.

L - ISO Layout

You might find some on GH/MechMarket, but I think all the GB stuff was sold out.

>lets move the left control key

This is why I don't buy stinkpads

i know you're trolling.

it's fucking working.

i am triggered.

You can swap them in BIOS.

>iso travesty

blame catalufos

>being this dumb

>half size backspace

ive got one :^(

ALPS FTW

The best

ISO QWERTZ

I type in German. It's just what you use.

>n with squiggle on top
You have to go back.

That tiny Left Shift is fucking disgusting. Why wouldn't they make Right Shift smaller instead?

I have no problem using it with my left pinky.

Where do you buy a keyboard like this

My current keyboard. If only it was 60%

neither

Do you also have problems with a short G and a short 9?

Spacebar is not that important when you want to write in Japanese.

Get a saw bro
who needs arrow keys

Just swap them in the BIOS

>He has to switch layers to type numbers

ANSI, tbqh

ANSI with US International layout
