>2 years old

What software is this? Forgot.
Gonna try it and post results.

work time 2 years. 6yr old drive.

>he actually bought a crucial ssd
just because it was listed in the falconguide doesn't mean it's actually good, they still list those shitty ass seasonic psus for chrissakes

My 3 year old SSD has 2.8 years of on time and ~300 power on count.

>crucial

have a (you)

No user, he's right.
Crucial and seasonic are bad.
They're pretty much normie-bait brands.

you are a retard

Seasonic is top tier for psu's you dumb nigger.
Maybe you are too much of a poorfag for them.

Only bad ssd brand is ocz and mushkin.

explain, autist
challenge: use arguements instead of saying
>muh-muh non normie brand
>muh muh corsair, EVGA
>dumb chinks hurdur

even seasonic make value PSUs and they are still better than the alternatives

seasonic is like the Toyota or Honda of power supplies

seriously, seasonics new titanium line are god damn emmaculate, they're pricey, but not all that much compared to the competition in that effeciency range, and further, they tend to have better ripple and a 10 year warranty vs others with 3-8 year.

m.2 ssd here

70ºC while idle
I regret my purchase every day of the week

How is it 70c idle? Further, even if it was, doesnt that mean it's designed to run that hot??

I understand during heavy workloads it can thermal thorttle, but at the speeds it reaches surely you rarely run into those situations.

Do you have a single fucking fan in your system?
Mabye you got a lemon?
Or you can buy the new m.2 shields that disappate heat (see msi for example) seperately

I'm exaggerating, but if I leave my PC on with the CPU fan (only fan in the system) off, it'll go up to 70º in about 30 minutes

this is a mini-pc that's supposed to be fanless we're talking about here, total power usage while idle is less than 10W. None of the other components heat up over 30ºC. The fan has to be on at all times.

According to the manufacturer's website:
Operating Temperature: 0°C(32°F) to 70°C(158°F)

unfortunately I threw the box with the receipt away or I would have sent it back by now

I don't really experience slow downs or anything, so I'm assuming the temperature shows up as higher than it really is, but a 30-40ºC increase in half an hour is worrying either way

Generally speaking: Seasonic and Superflower are the best two OEMs, without getting into server-grade PSUs.

However, if I am recommending any bad PSU for the price, or if you have better alternatives, do let me know. I am happy to improve the guide!

>He actually came into this thread because some phoneposting samefag said something bad about Logical Increments
Do you just have a bot monitoring Sup Forums 24/7 that looks for posts that mention you or your site?

How's the weather where you are?

It's very easy to find his real identity.

Had it for about 3 years I think.

lmaoing @ your life
pic related, my laptop.

>server-grade PSUs
Server PSUs are mostly Seasonic or Delta from what I see.

This was on the front page.

Very rainy these days, but right now it is sunny outside.

>seagate
You're an even bigger loser than he is

How do you check the health of an oem drive? Official Samsung utility refuses to recognize it, it's a Samsung msata ssd, about 12k hrs on, been using it for 3 years.

I have decent airflow in my case and my 950 Pro idles around 48-50c and hits ~65-70c under load situations after 1-2 minutes.

Sounds like it just needs some airflow and your case is lacking.

I have one of the seagate drives that is currently going through a lawsuit. Purchased in 2012. m-mine s-seems okay.

wait, what? theres a titanium 80+ now? when the fuck did this happen?

also, did i just find my new psu?

>mfw so was I

There have been consumer titanium units out since ~feb. of last year.

It's the only 80+ spec that requires load testing at 10% load levels (platinum and gold stop at 20%).

Meaning a platinum rated PSU could theoretically have less than 80% efficiency at 10% load levels and still meet the 80+ platinum spec.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/80_Plus

For reference 80+ titanium requires
90% efficiency at 10% load
92% at 20% load
94% at 50% load
and 90% at 100% load.

>tfw

caching with RAM or RAID?

Whats a good SSD tool to use that's not some freeshare shit?

I used SSD-Life once a while ago, and it expired the trial period. I dont feel like cleaning out the registry and shit

crucial is the best SSD brand out there

>crucial
>bad
Wut r u smoking?

>server grade PSUs
>not just using a decent UPS

>not the anime edition
PLEB

>thinking a piece of shit PSU suddenly becomes high quality because it's behind a UPS

What is happening here?

...

>tfw a guy I know buys Micron server SSDs for barely any money

Get on my level, this was a free SSD, my Samsung 850 EVO is still going strong.

Probably something like this:

Here is a 4 year old Sandisk raid 0 setup.
Kinda scared that one day they will die and I will lose some data as I only backup every month or so.
