get an x5650 or equivalent xeon OP, not only is it cheap but youll get a decent performance boost and temps dropped significantly.

Echoing. Westmere is baller.

Why are you GPU's at 90C?

sorry if it's distorted or artifacty, just captured a scrot from a stream of my desktop from my laptop

Them GPU temps.

>Westmere
>Triple Channel
Old but gold.

>See above
Also old but gold.

Standard gaymen. Not bad.

>Higher end gaymen
>A L I E N W A R E
I dig it.

Just got an Asus MG248Q earlier. I like it a lot. Anything I should be concerned about?

I'll just leave this here to trigger you all.

Sold my 1070 and awaiting Vega, unless I can find a dirt cheap Nano in the meantime.

...

Gaymen laptop without the gaymer looks.

its not old but...

quality snip

24gb of ram is comfy

>tfw you can dedicate 16gb+ to a vm

1080Ti when?

Nice.

That's a monster rig you've got there. How much did it all cost?

I need another hard drive. I'm running super low on space.

>Asus MG248Q
Good choice.

I was going to sell my 480 for a 1070, but I think I'll wait out for Vega as well.

Thanks brah.

I think the motherboard and SSD were the only things I paid full price for.

I got the 6700k via Intel Retail Edge, monitor was like $400 via slickdeals, RAM was 50% off a black friday sale, GPUs are both Gigabyte reference models that I got for $525 each about 3 months after the 980Ti release. I bought HDDs when they go on sale, usually $140-150ish, to feed my NAS.

I noticed that there are faint grey lines across the screen horizontally when using 144Hz on DisplayPort. They do not appear when on 60Hz for example. Is that supposed to be normal? This is my first 144Hz monitor and I feel like that's abnormal.

Yes

It's abnormal. Monitor might be rekt.

My friend has the same issue on his Asus 144Hz. I think its a defect.

I'm probably just going to refund it tomorrow then and look for something else then, thanks.

Im loving my new G Sync monitor that came it

whats up guys

Y'all be mad that you don't have this powerful machine.

I fell for the 970 meme

Nice bottleneck

Here we go

>DDR3-1600

Nice bottleneck.

Should be fine for a while.

nice 13 year old engine

Nice meme.

i just want an GPU/CPU upgrade.

does anyone here have experience upgrading the gpu/cpu on a 8760W?

DDR3 and DDR4 are quite different
DDR4 2133MHz CL15 RAM is much slower than my DDR3 1600MHz CL8
Also, there is nothing about the CPU and GPU used on your graph.
I don't really play Fallout 4 anymore, especially not without VSync, but last time i did, i've been well over 150FPS.

>DDR3 and DDR4 are quite different

No, they're not.

Skylake likes memory bandwidth far above tight timings. This has been proven again and again, to the point that it's been demonstrated that overclocking your RAM has a bigger impact on framerates than overclocking your CPU when it comes to Skylake.

youtube.com/watch?v=Er_Fuz54U0Y

Your system is bottlenecked out the ass by that slow as shit memory and pitiful bandwidth. Your ebin CL8 DDR3-1600 has the exact same latency as CL16 DDR4-3200 (around the price/performance sweet spot for Skylake), yet half the bandwidth.

Best not to talk about bottlenecks when your own system is a disaster, user. The CPU in the graphs tested was a 6700K at 4.5GHz by the way.

>muh 150fps!!!

Utterly irrelevant unless you tested in the same area with the same settings.

...

Don't feel like updating, maybe in a year or two, we'll see.

so obviously RAM speed matters, but just like CPUs, it probably doesn't matter until you reach a bottleneck, no?

>Talks about DDR4 being superior to DDR3
>Post comparison of DDR4 speeds only
It's not like i'm saying DDR3 is better, but the difference is nowhere near what you're showing.

Im good for the next few years

I don't get the point of these threads but anyway, I'll bite
main pc

second pc

And my daily use machine

need more HDDs

Start removing old unused shit, you autistic little prick

sold my ref 480, either going to buy aftermarket or wait for vega. also want to upgrade to i7 at some point and up ram to 16gb

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Yes, it cost me 6000 dollars, what are you gonna do about it?

Shits on fire, yo.

...

Does 4-way SLI work at all? Also nice CPU bottleneck.

>implying a 5820K can bottleneck anything

and yes 4-way works. SLI is a lot more optimized than given credit for.

Although i will admit that I only made this system to make the ultimate PC, and the difference between 3 and 4 GPUs are miniscule

Something is fishy here man, 28 pcie lanes aren't enough for 4-way SLI.

>1060
wana know how I know you're fat?

Got all the parts for free except the psu and case. (Which is a cheap Raidmax comet case and a Raidmax psu for now.) Probably going to put a RX 470 or similar card in it. This is my secondary pc like the pic says.

Main machine.
I know: >1060 3gb
I will upgrade eventually.
