What do you consider a "minimal" distro?
What do you consider a "minimal" distro?
Windows 10
debian sid
debian netinstall
CentOS
A distribution that only has the most basic functionality available by default. What exactly this includes varies per use case. For some this can be purely a shell and a package manager.
IHMO KDE neon is a minimal distro because it only has the DE and some basic applications (file manager, text editor, web browser, ...) that are used by nearly all users.
Ubuntu (though neon is partly based on the ubuntu repos) in contrast has much more installed by default.

I consider Xubuntu to be a 'minimal" yet "optimal" distro for any freedom and elegance connoisseur newfags out there. Xubuntu is the shit we're looking for.
