Labor can't be a commodity because you're not dealing with just inanimate products, you're dealing with real human beings. If labor is allowed to become a commodity then it can be exchanged at whatever rate the market decides (even for free sometimes, as is the case with many goods that are given away when they lose their value and producers just want to get rid of them), but the market doesn't see human beings, it only sees cold hard numbers. The market can't determine how much a person as a human being deserves, the market doesn't know values such as nation or compatriotism, and that's why it inevitably leads to pajeets replacing the native population for less than minimum wage.

Do you work for some sort of defense or aerospace industry by any chance? Those types of positions pretty much have to employ naturalized citizens. Maybe an industry were safety is of utmost concern and mistakes cannot happen.
