I don't use it often, but it works if you don't have more than 2gb of ram

readyboost isn't a swap/page file though, it's used as a disk cache.

It's pretty good.

Flash drives, as any solid state storage, are generally faster than hard drives. While using readyboost windows first writes onto the connected flash drive before eventually writing to the hard drive. Because pagefile gets overwritten rapidly, it skips writing it to the hard drive most of the time and that's what causes increased performance when there's little ram installed

I use it on a laptop with 4GB RAM and a HDD. It works fine, opening a folder with 10000+ files without readyboost is a pita. Using a 16GB SanDisk

ReadyBoost is not to make your gayms go any faster, retard.
