Yeah sure. And you're able to tell.

>torrent uploader replies its own upload with "works great thanks for the upload"

>download a few sherlock episodes from the pirate bay
>they works perfectly
wow. Not being a retard works out great sometimes.

How can you compromise your system by downloading mp4/mkv files anyway. What could go wrong.

>torrent nature documentaries that aren't available as digital purchase in my country
>get sued by a British rights monitoring company
>they want 2000 euros

All I wanted to do was to see some nature, man.

>no idea what an iso file is
sweet summer child

please tell me this a pasta

fucking lold

>200 byte/s down speed
Are there really people that live like this?

top kek. saved this pasta.

Downloading is not a crime, uploading is
Liar faggot

ffmpeg and its ilk are practically impossible to audit, fuck only knows what exploits are hiding there.

Why does that matter? Clearly someone wrote this for the first time at some point, even if it's not now

Because no one can really be that retarded.
You really need to focus on your reading comprehension skills user

>implying botnets can encrypt your entire fucking hdd but can't seed a torrent
k

The line between data and code is a really thin one. If there's a vulnerability in the handling of the input files (parsing the binary containers, decoding the audio video and subtitle data), even an inert data file can attack your system.

please tell me this is just pasta
>ishygddt

this is unironically how I learn everything

You do realize recently the 3DS was hacked using a carefully packed music file.

>British
>Euros
u wot m8?
You're getting scammed

retards with file extensions turned off in windows (which is the default setting for some godawful reason) will happily download and run "movie.exe"

That's pretty typical scam, tracking ips and getting subpoenas off from market courts to get the address behind the ip at that moment for copyright trolling. Don't pay, they'll have to prove that it was you who shared the file under most legislations(and at least where I live(Finland), it is misdemeanor, not a crime so nobody is going to come in and take your hardware). So the burden of proof is upon that company if you're going to court, not to mention that paying up is basically the same thing as confession in legal sense(and usually wording in letters I've read about are worded so that even though you'll pay, there's no guarantee they don't pursue the issue). Better just throw the letters away with any other junk mail and carry on with your life. Also look into vpns or something if you want to get around the location based content locks.

screencap me this pasta has some potential

Replace trolling with retard I guess.

>get a mail
>HI I WANT KNOW YOU I SENT PICTURE PLES ANSWER :)
>girl.exe

If you aren't even in britain then just ignore it.

Fuck you!
1/10

Clearly, the virus forces the infected user to seed. Clever girl.

>girl.exe

Have they finally perfected girlfriend ai?

>tfw I never ran it

Using fat32 and not knowing what an ISO is your fault. Using an outdated version of winshit is your fault, anything newer than windows 8 can automatically mount isos. Not checking the file list before downloading a torrent to see if it's a video file or a bunch of rars is your fault.

Also, if it's a legal letter, you have to sign some shit before you receive it to prove that you have received it (at least in my country). If it's just thrown into your mailbox, you may as well just throw it into the thrash.

how horrifying

That's a botnet son

Holy shit. I'm crying tears from laughter. Fucking saved.

I learned the hard way that anything that takes more than 4 or 5 steps to get is usually not worth it
