it's a well known fact that linux is better than NT but desktop GNU/Linux isn't necessarily better than windows. after all, you're trusting a ton of potentially incompetent parties with your security on the latter.

the main difference, and the reason why security experts will never recommend windows over linux for opsec, is that you CAN design a full linux system around security and prove that it is, indeed, secure. on windows, such a feat is impossible by nature.

in any case, you shouldn't rely on a single package on a 4 year old distro to make an obvious point, because that's fucking stupid and wrong.

kek

>after all, you're trusting a ton of potentially incompetent parties with your security on the latter.
no, you trust your distro, the quality it stands for, and it's maintainers. thats the reason only debian and rhel/centos are used in the real world

>in any case, you shouldn't rely on a single package on a 4 year old distro
why ? 4 years is nothing. every serious distro should still provide security updates after 4 years

This

>aslr
Debian was slow to add it because it breaks some software and Debian devs are fanatic when it comes to stability

What Did You Mean By This.

...

All this time being butthurt pajeet you could have spent training how to use the loo.

MAXIMUM DAMAGE CONTROL

XDDDDD

This is wrong, Linux has almost no anti exploitation features compared to windows. Windows is actually innovating, creating things like cfg and secure kernel. EMET is extremely hard to exploit on.
Linux barely even has support for aslr

I have microsoft in my office because the canadian fucks who make our software force ms sql.

>What is grsecurity

Also KASLR implementation is quite late in Linux but it's not that bad, as Windows is quite vulnerable as well.

Some intresting stuff to read:

Higher marketshare != better

In capitalism, higher marketshare == better.

Stay mad.

>not having the antivirus software Common Sense 2017 to protect your information

who cares

Then android is the best. Good to know. prof. economics.

it's called paid shilling.

Is it 2016?

It is then. Capitalism rewards excellence.

>Capitalism rewards excellence
This is the biggest lie capitalcucks have made up. It rewards popularity, not excellence.

>Capitalism rewards excellence
you mean all the shit that pushed away better alternatives thanks to shilling and propaganda?

But Windows has had a long advantage in time. Plus, people afraid to try new things. The very thought that "since Windows has more marketshare, it must be better" is exactly the reason Linux can't get more marketshare.

Besides, when you Google "server os" it shows a shopping list full of Windows servers operating systems. They probably just click the first result without looking.

Google gave me freenas and linux. Bing on the pic.

>macOS server
Is this a real thing? Sounds terrible

>>there's a vulnerability
Why?
A more secure system is not the one with least flaws and weakness? Ok, you report and the fix come, but couldn't it have been written better?

It's mediocre hardware that looks cool and cost a lot of money. It has it's niche.

Does this affect chrome os?

What niche would that be? I'm struggling to think of anything besides wanting to show people how cool and "tech savy" you are but you're a macfag and can't have something unfashionable in your house or you'll spontaneously combust.
