B

because won't be using both monitors 100% of the time, so the main monitor should be facing straight to you

B because I have a laptop plugged into a display, which I'm definitely going to favor over the little ass one.

Neither.

b for this reason

B, but the secondary monitor is to the left of the primary monitor directly in front of me.

...

>needing dual monitors when infinite workspaces exist
Is this a Windows thing?

Initially thought A but then looked at keyboard placement... Definitely B

A if you like staring into the empty space between your two monitors, B if you actually need to see what's on the monitors.

B. I can't have the bezels of two monitors as my main focus point(aka my neck won't hurt if I look here.
Good point. Actually wanted to buy another monitor for my home PC but it would be useless.

There are a lot of uses for dual monitors that cannot be done with virtual workspaces.

this
on front monitor in vertical for shitposting
second monitor in horizontal for animu

>gnome 3
>VLC
>3dpd

My monitors sit like in A, but I sit mostly like B. I'm mostly directly in front of monitor A.

triple monitor setup, baby

with two horizontals I prefer them on top of each other, that's really comfy

I was a dual monitor kind of man, but then I installed a tilling window manager then my need for dual monitors were gone.

Now it's a single 27 inch 4k monitor.

Debate me

...

but windows has multiple work spaces too

the point is you can have a full screen program open on one and have something else to look at/watch at the same time. like if you're using a CAD or modelling program on one screen, you need the full screen to see everything, but you might want reference material/texture libraries/something to watch in the background on a secondary monitor. You can do that by switching back and forth between work spaces but it's a lot easier to just have both visible simultaneously, especially if you're copying something from one screen to another (like drawing from reference or something).

That's not a six, you know that right?

Personally I use A for work and just turn my chair to one side when gaming/watching something on one screen

This looks clever. I'll give it a go at work next Monday

>working on a computer
Is this a Windows thing?

Literally why do you have 3 different aspect ratios? How is this helpful?

>A: constantly having to look to the left or right with a crack down the middle
>B: having a secondary window open constantly when you're better off tabbing back and forth or doing dual window view

Dual monitor setups are trash.

Ultra wide is the ultimate solution

>not having a 27" 1440p as your main, a 24" ultrasharp vertically alligned on the right in format B in OP's post, and then a 4k tv for all HD media

plebs

B
I have one big monitor hooked to HDMI
my smaller monitor is hooked into DVI with an HDMI adapter

>he fell for the ultra meme

oh dear :(

DEBATE ME

I'm tired as fuck alright, I knew it didn't look right

They're old spare monitors. A 1680x1050, 1920x1080, and 2560x1080.

>He has to stare at a bezel in between his screens

Oh dear

>not the webm of her dancing

my dick is disappoint son

i have b and i dont look much at the bezel its either screen 1 or screen 2

the small one is a laptop in a docking station, lower than all of the monitors, which are at eye level

>implying I don't have two ultrasharps with basically no bezels

enjoy your meme monitor

I was going for the facial expression alone, but yes the webm of her dancing is pretty hot

sorry user

Related question - any of you considered having your screen(s) bolted to the wall? I'm considering it lately to save space on the desk.

Why not like this because symmetry and stuff?

its not a horrible idea but for my the wall behind my desk is clear on the other side of my room

Why not use one monitor to save ports on your computer and wall outlets? I'd only use ultra slim bezels on a tri-monitor setup

show me ONE decent ultra wide monitor just fucking ONE

This is my work setup except the big monitor on left is an iMac and the laptop and iMac screens overlap each other.

no

so why should i bother looking one up? they all cost 3-5 hundred dollars anyway

Because they're better

If your monitors are fine I wouldn't worry about upgrading for now unless you want a better viewing experience

so show me one convince me

no

one reason is that i use that space for other things and the other is the inconvenience of having to reach my arms forwards instead of just having it right to the left at a comfortable distance

you are not a very good shill you know that?

True master race coming through

B, but I use A due to space restrictions

Hey 50c is 50c

Patrician tier coming through

Over under is the only way to do dual monitors.

you mean "eyes in the back of my head" tier

Facts

I have the two following monitors:

-ViewSonic vx2268wm (22''/16:10/1680x1050/120HZ/TN/Heavy as a faggot)
-LG 25um55 (25"/21:9/2560x1080/IPS/Pretty light)

I use this setup. Think I could do this with one of those VESA desk mounts? I'm thinking of buying that shit. I know the former monitor is shite, but I paid 300€ ages ago for it and I'm not throwing it out the window, plus I can't sell it because it looks like trash on the outside.

B

You know how I know you're not from Brazil? Because you have a mechanic keyboard. We don't have this technology around here.

B masterrace although my 2nd monitor is to the left

B

Because fuck bezels in the middle. And my secondary monitor isn't as nice compared to my primary.

1 giant 43" 4K screen

How is it? I was about to order it around the end of 2016, but decided not to when I read there were some problems with the current alternatives (the dell and the philips). I have actually used the dell a little bit and found it to work very well, but it's not extensive testing also haven't tried changing any settings.

B

I have both in front of me. The second one is like one meter above the first one, I use it to watch stuff as I pace around the room or to watch stuff from my bed. Also one time I pushed my sofa as back as I could and played orgy porn in both monitors simultaneously while I touched myself with lotion. It was great.

Only recently implemented, while it was available on Linux years before w10.

B
Because my main screen is good for games but shit to read on because its a shit screen
Right monitor is a 4:3 1920x1440 one, great for readin

If you have a TN even b is only 50% shit.

The problem with vertical monitors is that you need to buy expensive monitors to do it with, otherwise the viewing angle issues make it unpleasant. I could not care less about the color quality on my shitposting monitor, so TN would otherwise be fine.

nice setup, what monitors?

PB258Q

Same panel as the U2515H

Wallpaper plz

This is mine, and recommended.

The angles are great. You get this view that right hand windows are further back and it just looks nice.

In exchange you post a wallpaper.

Not that guy but I wanted it too.

Can my old shit monitor that hasnt been used in over 2 years run 1080p

...

B. A is retarded

gosh who is that?

extended b, my alt is on a monitor arm on the desk beside my desk so i can swing it around and have it for any place in the room

Thank you, I was looking for another tattooed asian wallpaper.

Mikie Hara. No you don't see her tits but you do see her as a crime-fighting robot.

solution C: Triple Monitor. Main Monitor parallel to keyboard & in front of chair

other monitors placed like in B, but without the gap. rather than the gap you "hide" the bezel behind main monitor

>2017
>dual monitor setup

variation of a

>have something else to look at/watch at the same time
Except you can't unless you're an iguana.

A at work when both montiors are used contantly and B at home when I use one main one and one for extra

I've seen people say this before, am I missing something, because it seems 100% retarded.

I use multiple monitors to NOT have to switch between two things.

If I don't mind switching between two things then I just minimise the window, not create a new workspace

I have mirrored of this setup

Tell me what's more convenient, turning neck or press a hotkey.
Having to move the mouse across longer distances or just a hotkey

so 3 shit monitors are better than 2?

triple > dual >>>>> single setup, as long as all screens have an acceptable resolution

This.

I have a 22" on top and a 17 on the bottom.

well, off to find a file with every photo of her

exactly

Mismatched pixel density and aspect ratios is cancerous

>moving your eyes ever so slightly
>pressing a key and losing valuable real time informations
you're an idiot, why am i even bothering to respond

B
But i recently stopped using my second monitor and i don't miss it at all. I only plug it in when i do photoshop or something else that might require me to see more than 1 thing at the same time. I got distracted way too easily when i was using 2 monitors.

>turning neck
Is your field of vision 30 degrees or something?

That or he sits 15 inches from his monitor
