Guts thread. Post 'em. Added an NVMe drive as my boot drive, 2 1tb m600 SSDs in raid 0 for storage and went back to the stock heatsink on my 980ti as I'm somehow getting better temps with that?

First time I've ever been able to post in one of these.

On the to-do list
-500GB SSD for programs
-280mm AIO to free up air for my GPU
-Better RAM
-Better camera

What heatsink is that?

common practice is to check the catalog first

...

I did, a few times, and didn't see that thread.
Looks nice man.

Noctua NH D14. It's been replaced with the NH D15 now but nowadays there are handful of dual tower style coolers to choose from that all perform similarly well.

Hello I am guts.

Here is my baby.

i7 3770k (still gud as fug)
Zotac extreme AMP GTX 1080
32gb ram
16tb total of data storage at 7200rpm
256gb ssd

why such a big cooler for a locked CPU?

cool pic man

You dont need the crossfire link cable anymore. There is no difference kek

Look again m8

Thanks!

Also

I have two Fury Xs that are just laying around.... Where do you think I should sell them for the highest profit?

Also, should I use one of them in my rig paired with my GTX 1080? Is there any benefits?

...

could you post the speccy?

The current iteration of this topic is providing me no emotions yet.

How much for this NASA computer?

Most recent new stuff was the Evo 850. 160 euros, or something.

Most recent second-hand were:
R9 270x, 90 euros last year.
The Q9550,150 euros in 2011.

Original stuff is 9 years old
From December 2007:
Motherboard, P5KR was 102 euros.
SB, Club-3d Theatron Agrippa was 59
Hitachi desktar 320 GB was 78 .
Che cooler master case was 66.
Can't find how much was the Enermax Liberty 500W.

what case is that

Silverstone FT05. Though they have a few other cases with rotated layouts like the FT02 and the Raven series cases.

Ill give you $50 since that is what it looks worth to me

You won't even buy the 8 GB of ddr2 with 50 bucks.

Nigger I bought 8gb ddr2 ram for $5 a piece at a computer hardware store 4 years ago when I bought my AMD HD 7850 you fucking nigger

Tyrone, stealing is bad.

Kill yourself, you dumb fucking shit stain.

>only 2060 days
cute

Sweet!

Back in. hi /guts/

oh well, it's dead now. time to repost into the sunset. legitimately.

>Q9550 is the oldest CPU in here
NOT ANYMORE.
I retired this in june. bask in my decade-old 90nm dualcores and twelve friggin' gigs of DDR1.
at one point the original 200-gig boot drive had about 10 years of power-on-hours before it was cloned and retired.

These are purty. Post more.

I have nothing else as 'purty', just a cobbled together mess of wires inside the leftmost box in the earlier image.

Got this case from dan-cases.com.
Pretty qt hmm ?
>i5 3.9Ghz

Who said this case was a hoven again ?

How do you like nvme user, is it that noticeable from ssd?

NVME is SSD, it's just an nvme standard rather than the likes of SATA III standards... but the connector isn't NVME which is where confusion starts....

...

I'm not going to lie to you and tell you it's night and day difference, honestly, it's kind of hard to tell. Though I feel like some startup programs load quicker. What I will say is this: when I first upgraded to a sata ssd it didn't feel all that faster than a conventional hdd until I went back and used a conventional hdd and I feel the same is going to be true here but to a lesser extent. The more pertinent reason for me was use fewer sata data and power connections to make cable management cleaner and easier. That and some programs like photoshop and illustrator feel snappier.

i just ate a pork pie what the fuck is up

...

Is it me or are these threads 50% reposts?

What did you expect from a thread that gets posted every day, retard?

More like 95%
It's not like new people regularly post here.

You guys think I should put an i5 6500 in there or should I wait for Rysen?

Guess what's in my current rig

How do you guys sort out your cables behind the desk? It gives me a headache every time i look behind even when the shit is ziptied.

bae
When are you getting those 1080's my man?
whaddup

>paying Microsoft monthly to use your operating system

I use velcro straps (the kind they use for server cable management) and bundle all my cables into a "super cable" to route to my computer. I put slack into a cable box.

ltsb boiz

>implying its not activated with kmspico

Cable tray.

wait either way

i3 2300

looks nice but win 10 and no gpu?

still waiting on some new stuff

What the fuck is wrong with you

Pascal conspiracy theorist here
It's overclocking potential is artificially limited across all chips.

Anyway heres my ugly computer. Torn between spending some money on aesthetics like a new case and shit or just slapping a vega+r7 1800x in it

I don't even watch anime but I want a cute figurine/doll to put in my computer what girl should I buy

Clock for clock is just fucking horrible
Where with maxwell ifbyou added 200 on the core you'd get 15 frames with pascal you get 5

>mom trust me, i need a full tower

I post it with that file name/OP sometimes.

It's from 2011, used to have a full atx board in it, plans to cf, etc. Now it has a coat of paint on it to fix discoloration, it missing all but 3 of the 5.25"(lol) covers, all of the pci expansion covers, has no fans

>mom trust me, i need a full tower

>1200w psu

>fucktarded case

>0/10 practicality
>0/10 aesthetics
>9/10 performance
>0/10 price:performance

it's difficult to justify anything above a 9/40 score

Asuka or megumin

Kill yourself.

I just finished this bad boy today! Any suggestions, or critiques...?

that rug
tell us about that rug

not shown: Samsung 960 EVO M2 SSD

>mom trust me, i need a full tower

fuck, if neetbux created that I might as well not even get a job and move to Alaska anyways.

tidy up the cables from the fans and get rid of the ugly stickers.

Nice build! That's what I got, basically, samsung's pm961 it's the "enterprise/oem" version.

I really want a FT02, but it cost a bit much.

it's not a rug...

>2 1tb m600 SSDs in raid 0 for storage
>using SSDs for "storage"

You're a special kind of stupid, aren't ya?

I mean if he was using it to store raw video footage for editing, it would make plenty of sense

Dank carpeting
Do you live in a Vegas Casino or eastern Europe?

I think your case looks nice from that angle but I'm unable to identify it

>kmspico
Indeed it is
Very nice my man. How much was the table?
>no gpu?
Cant afford it for now.
I guess i could get some after i finish making mounts for monitor and speakers

>Very nice my man. How much was the table?
It was free. You'd be amazed at the furniture some corporations give away or throw out in mint condition just because they decide it's time to redo their offices.

Thats great. I wish i could scavenge some furniture.
