they suddenly "love linux", to get across to something viable fast .. that is after abandoning all of their attempts to develop their own microkernel ('midori'), 15 years and millions wasted on that. Their software base hasn't changed since the late 90s. They cannot scrap it and rewrite it, because it is such a mess. Microsoft is in trouble. Their share price may be burgeoning for now because of markets, but the most optimistic analysts have them as "hold" .. most others, "sell". Their era is coming to an end. The era of the PC is ending & they have not managed to break out. They are OUT OF MOBILE
because all they have done, is try to "enhance" a flaky desktop, for 20 years .. everything else, they have failed at, serially. They can only operate in a monopoly position .. they cannot compete.
