Why are our County flags so much better than US State flags?
Only Maryland and California can compete.

Tbqh, New Mexico has a pretty cool flag.
Cheshire, I always liked the simple design.
Yeah, I'd obviously always place my county flag above all others but Cheshire is the second best imo.
New Mexixo, Maryland, Arizona, South Carolina, Colorado, Mississippi, and Tennessee are all good in my book.
but we were :^(
I like that you can see the history in the Mississippi flag.

Why are English names so fucking retarded?
>Buckinghamshire (my spell check even marks this as wrong)
>Leicestershire (how the fuck do you even pronounce it)
>Tyne and Wear (just what the fuck)
>Worcestershire (named after fucking beef sauce)
I'm retarded
...
>Buckinghamshire
Your spell check is in American and thus automatically wrong
>Leicestershire
Not that hard desu, Lester-sheer. the best btw
>Tyne and Wear
What's wrong with this?
>Worcestershire
bloody fucking hell...
>facepalm.jpg
Why are Americans so retarded and can't speak English?
West Riding Yorkshire is best flag.
Anything with 'shire' is Anglo-Saxon. In fact just blame the Anglo-Saxons for everything, it's easier.
>Thinking the Mississippi flag is great while marking off the Georgia flag as boring
Explain yourself. Is it the small text?
Never understood this meme
holy shit this is my first time posting from outside the US
did a double take when I saw the flag
you're not fooling anyone, moose
P-pls believe me... ;_;

Why is these so garish?
Half of these are shit, half are good

>Worst flag
>Used to have the best
Sucks to be on the Wirral lad.
>MFW the Rare breed that's from the Wirral and modern Cheshire
It's beautiful tbhqh. A very special kind of feel
FUCK OFF WOOL I'M TALKING ABOUT TYNE AND WEAR
>Americans
>Non Scouser
>calling someone a wool
Nah, you're the wool here son.
At least call me Welsh, posh cunt, Northern Tory or pretend scouse. Only scousers may call us wools.
Just made this.
Here's Australia's
based Tasmania lion
Witnessed
Ontario and Manitoba are the only good ones
Some of the city flags are nice desu
What?
Which ones?
Nice proxy.
The vast majority of them are very nice.
that's pretty shit m8
I'll raise you a Greater Melbourne
Just reminds me of Norway, can't you lads be original?
Delete this!
Needs a Union Jack desu
I'm actually really curious how the "gold seal on blue field" got so popular. Was there some kind of trend in vexology at the time or was it because of some kind of federal mandate?
My own state flag is one of these. Its only distinguishing feature is having a different image on the reverse side.
Brazil's states flags are nice
Sao Paulo is begging for a Union Jack
Imagine how based that flag would be
Who the fuck is this lads on my phone right now
Answering my own question, it looks like most state flags were designed out of laziness for the 1893 Wold's Colombian Exposition
>Modern U.S. state flags date from the 1890s, when states wanted to have distinctive symbols at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Illinois. Most U.S. state flags were designed and adopted between 1893 and World War I.
>According to a 2001 survey by the North American Vexillological Association, New Mexico has the best-designed flag of any U.S. state, U.S. territory, or Canadian province, while Georgia's state flag was rated the worst design. (Georgia adopted a new flag in 2003; Nebraska's state flag, whose design was rated second worst, remains in use to date.) About half the flags have a common "seal on a bed sheet" design, wherein the state seal is simply put on a solid, usually blue, background. Such flags consistently get the lowest ranks from the Vexillological Association.
Tokelau
The island where they're all having a "toke" on a phat biffta hahaha
POPULATION OF 1400 WHAT
They didn't organically evolve, that's the problem I think.
California's is shit, m8. If you have text on your flag, it's automatically shit.
Ohio's is pretty good. So are Colorado's and Arizona's.
Maryland's is the best though.
free .tk domain
is it right?
would be somehow nice, tho
How can other states even compete?
Don't forget how they have like three different fucking pronounciations for places ending in -cester.
>what's a hard c lol
>all this hate for the most based US flag
If you don't understand the significance of each individual aspect of its design, neck yourself
are other states even trying
I like it.
That's not the ugliest Georgia flag.
This is.
No wonder it only lasted from 2001-2003.
>State seal on blue background
>banner below with even more flags, including three previous versions of the Georgia state flag
I wasn't going for ugliest.
I was legitimately praising Georgia's current state flag.
It's a keeper
You say that like all other flags are just random designs. You can make a historically significant flag that isn't shit, which yours is.
What the fuck? Is that Kiribati?
>flags with other flags on them
wew
>reading comprehension
Not only have you drawn a false conclusion, but your opinion is wrong.
It looks great
>state steal on blue shoved into a corner
>two different fucking mottos
>single words have to be broken up onto separate banners because whoever designed the seal is an idiot
>text is illegibly small anyway
>even smaller details all over that seal
your flag is shit, m8
But hey, Georgia, it could be worse
> Norway
but that's a red Eureka flag with the southern cross spread over it you fuckin pleb
Our state flags aren't really bad, just boring.
To my knowledge they used to just be the badges, but at some point they badges go placed onto the national flag and they became the state flags.
>both ™ AND © on a flag
>rest is 90's MS-paint tier graphics
>Yellow, Red, Violet, White and Black
Wow
Nice proxy.
...
