Cybersecurity ebook Coolection

I have bundled up a collection of cybersecurity and other related computer books for research and development. I want those who seek intelligent to have access to it. ive got a link in /t/ in case this thread goes down. ill try to keep the link live. sharing is caring.

is there any chance of you creating a torrent of this?

just starting my cybersecurity course and this is gold.

What are the pre-requirements of this

yeah im creating a iso for this right now

there are no requirements, just as long as you have a pdf reader, you can download and read right away.

nice one

Thanks user, you're doing gods work

nice
I hope there are entry-level books because I bought a network security book for """beginners""" only to find out that it required advanced yet outdated knowledge

Yeah, does Sup Forums know where to start? Python programming, I imagine?

Thanks user; I deeply thank you.

Can someone please confirm op is indeed based.

op is based

i hope i dont get any backdoor, malware, virus(tm) from this my dude

since its cybersecurity maybe this is a big psyop here

There are also a few books about cyber security on here:

shodan.me/books/

Also lots, LOTS of other books

Anyway, thanks OP!

Cyberspace is big my friend, learn the basics and than specialise in 1 thing you like.

How big?

5.8GB

Consider converting to Linux.

Checked entire library, there's random .zips in the python folder. Probably related to the exploit but eer on the side of caution. All in all it's .pdfs, .epubs and .chm with a few .py, .css, .pngs, etc.

>evil.zip

lol

why does it have to be an iso?

tanks OP

For the autorun

U FUCKING CUNT, YOU TRIED TO GIVE ME VIRUS. NICE TRY FAGGOT.

Can confirm, my anti virus just caught it as well. That was a close one. Why in the hell would I DL some random shit from an user from Sup Forums with a cyber security subject. Its like a cruel joke.

Looks sweet, OP
Always need more on RE

what the fuck is going on

uuuhh ooooh

Werks on linuks

>That was a close one.
yeah. you can't be too careful. those files will just double click themselves when you aren't looking. i hope you defanged it by renaming to .xxx and zeroing out the byte order.

Nah, it can't be done, once they are downloaded on your had disk, they get root access to gibson directory. You need a hardware hypervisor to isolate them properly

that's only if they have the nixon remux patch. if they implement bilateral ratch architecture you can safely isolate their core microcode with a quick zero-xor blanket wrap.

I ain't clicking that shit nigga

youre missing out then

Open it in an isolated VM

Common Sense 2017© Says I shouldn't click random, untrusted links

Provide a virustotal scan of all files

not going to upload 5 gig to virustotal. simply downloading the files are going to do nothing.

Nah fuck off.

After Gentoo man library was found to have Trojans, I never download anything from g

That was the only thing caught in any of my scans and it sent an alert because it is encrypted. Which if you are not normie you will realise is encrypted for use in the lesson/curriculum.

Script it, shouldn't be too hard

your loss

someone post a magnet link . . .

shit looks good but fuck http

Just install the Mega plugin and download it. Quit being a basic bitch; it works fine. Uninstall the plugin once done

how do i download this shit?!

i click on download and its inside the browser

what do i do ...

when it downloads you can save it? How the fuck are you here without using mega

not a fan of this botnet

just a bunch of pdf's no viruses there cheers op for putting them in one place

Just bumping the thread. Will scan this and post results later.

I'm feeling nice today:

Python
Bash
Batch/Powershell
Metasploit ---> Metasploitable
C/C++
And learn networking

another resource: cybrary.it

Seconding this, it is a good resource.

how do i know that u did not bind rat on it? :^)

You don't. I downloaded it to my phone and didn't see anything sketchy.

post torrent link kind user

ITT

>user posts link to literal library of free books
>fag/g/its complain about format, size, botnet
>user tries to convince them of its legitimacy

Never change Sup Forums

>you don't
Found the people who don't know how to use netstat/a process manager

>AAA_smistare
user ti prego le cose finiscile quando le incominci. Non finire come me...

I forgot netstat had option to scan random links before downloading them.

>can't into reading comprehension

Malwarebytes found nothing.

Bitdefender found nothing as well

wget -r -e robots=off -np shodan.me/books/

topkek, this

>ain't clicking that shit
>your loss user

TORRENT MAGNET LINK FUCKING WHEN?

People have a right to be cautious. Its going on my laptop I have segmented from the rest of the network to make sure it isn't anything funky first.

hello OP

I'm not OP, I saw this post last night on /t/, then here. I scanned with malwarebytes and found nothing, if I can do more scans with other tools I'll do it.

quality over quantity
which ones are best

my advice to anons , hurry and download before the jews remove it

t.poorfag college student cant afford 4g

>iso
for what purpose

mods are sliding this

wtf is their problem?

mcafee stinger came up clean as well.

ClamAV found these

>download random 'hacking' docs from the internet
>get hacked

I didn't open any file, and deleted these ones already. so I don't know about being hacked by a bunch of pdfs

sans.org/reading-room/whitepapers/malicious/owned-malicious-pdf-analysis-33443

>sans.org/reading-room/whitepapers/malicious/owned-malicious-pdf-analysis-33443

I can't understand this. I try to be careful, but I don't know enough, that's why Commonsense isn't enough for me and my paranoia

Cybersecurity in the form of going to average families and businesses run by idiots, and installing firewalls, anti-malware, and anti-spyware software, will pay you more than trying to be pic related.
Just so you know.

The link in itself is vulnerable

ssl_error_unsafe_negotiation

even if it's clean, what a wasted opportunity for a honeypot

Commonsense is a meme you dip. Unless you are running linux in a home environment you should be running antivirus and even then having ClamAV to scan shit to protect Windows users isn't a bad idea.

I don't think commonsense is a meme, you can avoid a lot of problems by just thinking twice before doing anything. As example, asking people if they found malware on this or scanning it a couple of times.

Honest question.
Afterall, is it legit?

OP doesn't seem to post anything but the first post, there and on /t/, if this feeds your paranoia

so SEP found nothing, stinger found nothing, clam tagged 4 files. Going to run those through yara and see what comes of it.

Thank user !

I can report that Malwarebytes found nothing.

so, was clamav a false positive? or is it safe to dl?

yara has come up with nothing, I downloaded it and dont see any election hacking happening from my computer. I do have a suspiciously large cache of Clinton emails though, not sure where that came from.

>I want those who seek intelligent

Looks legit.

>Looks legit.
This would seem to be legitimate.

OP is an actual genius. You have to read all the pdf's to get rid of the rootkit. He just giving you motivation to learn.

-Don't open anything.
-Get what ClamAV found, wich is the only thing I found.
-Delete

I'm not sure about your statement

Can someone provide a Torrent link ?

pretty sure clam is false positive. I ran it all through yara and it reported nothing.

So

Symentec Endpoint Protection: Clean
McAfee Stinger: Clean
Yara: Clean
clamav (lol): 4 files

Thanks OP, you definitely aren't a fag this time!

>SEC_ERROR_INVALID_ARGS
>Browser hijack

It's corrupt.

All of it? the link? can you please exlain yourself?

You're all skids tbqh, none of these books will teach you anything, because security is too abstract for you. Learn to program first.
