I have a sneaky suspicion that this thing will suck in practice.
I have a sneaky suspicion that this thing will suck in practice
I have a sneaky suspicion that you practice sucking.
>Sony
I can guarantee it.
wtf they stole my invention
E-readers are comfy as fuck and I'd love to have a big one like that. Shit will be ridiculously expensive though, I'm sure of it.
Nice, only takes 30 seconds to open up a one-page PDF.
this existed for a while, its not something new
it is indeed ridiculously expensive
that person's handwriting is abysmal
>amazon.com
>1500$
yeah, no.
isn't this basically just a prototype and old as fuck? Or did they make a new one.
>Browser has drag-scrolling instead of page turning
Ew
no big bright shiny screen no care
I'd jump on that in a heartbeat if it wasn't so fucking expensive. Epaperâ„¢ screens are amazing
I really wonder if we will ever get a genuinely responsive and comfortable to use e-writer+reader that utilizes e-ink...
>it's all about the os & apps
MAYBE IF TRUMP DIDN'T SPEND 7000 BILLIONS ON THE MILITARY WE COULD USE THAT MONEY TO FUND SONY
Good hardware
Shit software
Classic Sony
Looks like a stroke victims desu
I am not familiar with the specific device, but generally speaking: E-ink devices are unresponsive.
Nothing will ever beat quickly browsing through a book with your fingers to find a page.
>even larger than Kindle DX
I want one, I'd read so much mango on one of those babies.
Anyone know which tablet is the comfiest for writing over pdfs without being ridiculously expensive?
>sneaky suspicion
Have you ever read a book? Can you even read?
it has had years to suck and that's because there is no effort to bring it to the western market or to offer it an affordable price
it's a locked down 1300USD PDF reader
Biofuel is a giant meme
This kind of shit infuriates me.
Why does EVERYTHING need to be connected to a cloud service to perform basic tasks? These five screens are all close enough to touch, yet the designers decided that they needed to puke traffic at a server thousands of miles away just to display the same document.
>noteslate
Pls no.
I wish they made a android tablet with an e-ink screen so I wouldn't need to remove my eyes at the end of the day after using my tablet
Sony stopped producing them
That's truly terrible.
I know this all too well
I have an old sony ereader and I can spend hours comfortably with it while using backlit is really eye torture
Lobotomized Hilldawg voter detected. Tired of losing yet?
I have used one extensively at Uni (in Japan).
It is absolutely fantastic and works perfectly.
Unfortunately, it costs $700 and only works with .pdf.
There's a similar e-reader and writer I've been following called Remarkable or something, I saw it on here once. Looked pretty interesting but I'm poor as fuck
The remarkable will be cheaper and better.
>tfw too smart for digital paper and just use paper
whew lad this is getting scary all this technology, at this point everything but the sink and toilet have an internet connection. I don't wanna take a shit and have siri tell me that my stool isn't proper according to webmd
>Wanting page turn
Brilliant, so when something is on the page divide, the entire purpose of the product; mark-up ability, is now completely lost because you can only flip instead of scrolling so it's centered.
You're a genius.
kek
The fucking point is that Sony's crapware browser should know better than to put anything on the page divide.
Just get one of these, you fucking sperglord.
I WISH I HAD A A4 sized e-reader.
That fps is fucking unacceptable. Why is everyone so fucking shit, is this fucking shit written in Python or something fucking shit?!½
The e-ink is a selling point for the e-readers tho. Seriously, as a physics major I would fucking love to have a 13.3 inch e--reader, it's perfect for PDFs (basically every document/paper/textbook I work with is a PDF).
Where the hell is my 13 inch manga reader already?
How else would they steal your private information?
Whats so sshit about the software? Looking at the review it looks like an excellent device. What did you expect? Being able to watch youtube videos?
Great, now I can finally write like with a pen with all the convenience of a pencil.
Wait, what?
Because as a developer you can't always know that the screens will always be close enough to touch, and sometimes it's simply easier to fall back on what you know will work under any circumstance.
Though don't a lot of these kinds of setups automatically fall back to local networks if possible anyway?
I just want one running stock android so I can load tachiyomi on it and read chink manuscripts.
This was made for lawyers and university professors, it wasnt made for NEETs wanting to read tentacle porn.
I want one of these to write code on
but do u dream in code? :^)
it was a joke son, take it easy. I thought the 7000 billion and the giving public money to a foreign company made it pretty obvious
I made a christmas tree app in haskell :---^--)
Aren't manga books smaller form factor than most tablets already?
