Listen here u lil shit
I agree on the most friendly, least friendly for me was New York/New Jersey, almost everyone was rude as hell, but maybe that was just the people I met.
You can't deny there isn't really a concept of hospitality to strangers in East Asia. There's plenty of civility, but no real hospitality or warmth.
>plenty of civility
>Hong Kong
LOL.
Know how you can tell who is a fresh arrival to HK? They say "sorry" when they bump into you on the MTR.
Turks and Greeks are bro tier
have you ever been to japan
they'll commit seppuku if you didn't like their hospitality
i will agree with you on that, but i think it's mostly chinese people who do that.
Asian hospitity is fake. They will not tell you if they have problems with you.
which countries offer their daughters as hospitality?
do you really think anyone in the world would go "hey man your breath fucking stinks get out of my house"
>their hospitality
Taiwan is really friendly.
the stans near the caspian sea
uzbekistan, kyrgyzstan, tajikistan
The Japanese service industry is full of polite, servile, bowing people - and on some level, that's nice (though honestly I don't like service staff bowing down to me as if I'm some god, it makes me uncomfortable).
But the people, from my perspective, are generally cold and unfriendly. They're outright hostile if you forget one of the myriad social rules that governs daily life in Japan and they're passive aggressive as fuck and generally incapable of self-deprecation (muh loss of face).
This. Turks from places like Izmir and Greeks are bros. They'll actually attempt to involve you in their social circles, invite you to have dinner with them and their families. That's real hospitality. I've heard some small town Americans can be like this too, but I can't say for sure.
Americans are the most friendly in my experience. Least friendly are Mongolians.
>Unfortunately, Xenophobia is rampant, and violence towards foreigners is not uncommon. This problem usually affects males. Mongolian men will generally pick out the largest foreign men and attack them, mostly with their fists. This is known to happen at all hours of the day and in any part of the city. Of course, at night the problem becomes much worse. Be very, very wary of clubs that have a majority of Mongolians.
those are right-wing japanese nationalists
that's like representing the opinion of the us as the westboro baptist church

You CANNOT refute this.
It's pretty revealing that a statistically insignificant, demographically insignificant number of foreigners is enough to trigger the fuck out of them though.
If that happened in a European country, especially a Southern European one, people would challenge the people saying it: "Hey, why are you abusing tourists? What's your problem?" even right-wing people would feel embarrassed and tell them to fuck off.
>Most friendly
Define most friendly
Asians play this friendliness. I know how your people think and it makes one uncomfortable when he can look through it.
Most friendly: Greeks, Turks, Russians
Least Friendly: Germans
>places like izmir
hospitality doesn't change that much around turkey desu, although if you are a woman and dress openly you will start to get looks as you travel east
It's weird to me how in East Asia, the rural and small town places are where you'll encounter the most hostility.
In most western countries it's the complete opposite. Hell, even rural Croatians were bro-tier.
According to research, the friendliest countries are
#1 New Zealand
#2 Australia
#3 South Africa
#4 Canada
#5 United States
#6 Turkey
#7 United Kingdom
#8 Philippines
#9 Spain
#10 Malaysia
It's from 4 years ago, though. Pretty sure it changed quite alot
i mean i know what it sounds like, but its in their culture lol
I think the "Japanese politeness" thing is a meme.
Most of the people who were most adulatory about Japanese politeness and kindness to me were white females who had visited. Naturally white females are going to be fawned over wherever they go, by non-white men.
This. Its both amusing and insulting on a certain level. Oh well.
Japs are very passive aggressive, I can tell because British culture is also passive aggressive
Remember outgoingness != friendliness
I can't say I've personally met an unfriendly Southern Euro, but I have a friend that is convinced all Italians are pricks.
People in Japan were rather friendly from what I remember as a kid. Chinese are another story though. If we can pick out regions, least friendly people I've met definitely come from the USA east coast.
...
not actually an asian though, half new zealander too
eh i see what you mean though

"Southern Europeans" is a very broad thing.
According to an /his/torian, an andalusi went to the Spanish March and met the Franks.
According to that andalusi, Catalans were the rudest of the Franks. He asked them why they did shave their beards, and the Catalans answered "You muslims shave your asses, why the fuck you don't shave your faces?"
I don't like people kissing my ass because I'm not an Asian male with low self-esteem who needs to be given "face" constantly to satisfy his ego.
Also:
>IJA's willing shitskin hatchet men kissing their ass
No surprise there.
Singapoore becuase multikulture just werkz like linux.
Thank you, russia bro!
>germans
top kek
Maybe it's because I'm white, but I've encountered nothing but kindness from Germans when I've been over there.
>Americans are the most friendly in my experience.
Yeah , nah.
In my experience from france to the south/west is pretty friendly.
I confirm it. The "cold, unpleasant" German stereotype is a lie.
The Germans I've met were very kind and humble, and above anything, sincere.
I've been told that ex-RDA Germans are a little bit more like the stereotype, tho.
Catalans are Franks
Give it back
they have never done anything to me personally but i remember one of the managers at an airport shouting at an old persian(i think) man who forgot his phone in the airplane. the old fuck couldn't even speak english properly.
probably shouldn't judge them all on that asshole tho desu
I'm a Catalan, and I have yet to consider giving myself back to anyone. Goth heritage ain't free.
I don't know if that would be worth anything at this point. 20% of our population are non-spanish immigrants.
Germans are honestly the warmest, friendliest most open minded people you could hope to meet.
>Least Friendly: Germans
I don't get why everybody is saying this. Fucking people in Paris are unfriendly.
>They're outright hostile if you forget one of the myriad social rules that governs daily life in Japan
Have you ever actually been to Japan?
They're extremely forgiving to Foreigners, especially the more clueless you seem, if you forget a rule so much so that it can cause problems
>bowing is a sign of equal respect
>smilling is a sign of trust
>thinking every Asian butt kissing him because everyone in England are rude Pakis

Perhaps the most racist, backwards, xenophobic people you'll meet in Europe
According to my dad who travels all over the world due to his work, people consider Americans to be the friendliest (bar certain exceptions like NYCers)
The least friendly people is non-British Europeans, they were consistantly hostile to me whenever I visited any European country.
Live here and you won't write this again.
Not him, but I encountered the exact opposite.
>In Kyoto
>Decide to have a cigarette (when I'm abroad I smoke)
>Sidle up next to two taxi drivers having a smoke on the side of the road, since some roads you aren't allowed to smoke
>Use my portable ash tray to flick the ash into
>Taxi drivers finish their cig and get back into their taxis and drive off
>I'm finishing off
>Some woman walks past me, shouts "don't do that!" with a foul glare on her face
>Completely confused
Note that I never drop cigarette butts or ash on the ground.
They're North Africans, not actual French.
oh man
I agree with you
How are Irish persons IRL?
Fair, this is definitely a view based backpackers/ expats
I don't know why you're insulting pakis, Malays and Indonesians are the pakis of Southeast Asia after all. Just as dumb and just as rude.

English, only spent 5 days in England, hated every moment of it, London was fascinating, though
Irish people were very friendly, at least outside of Dublin. Everyone seem to be just walking around waiting to engage in friendly banter. In Dingle we asked some fishermen for directions or something and they ended up offering to take us to Skellig Michael when it was closed off just for the hell of it
but there are no English people in London
No problem, we're your non-white brothers, please come back home
Nanking was a meme.
I spent only one day in London, I was somewhere in the Northern part of Devon, I don't remember which town.

Not at all, mostly I just want to be left alone. "Please", "Thank you" and a smile is enough for most English and I think most Europeans too. We don't need servile treatment.

I found australian very friendly when i was there on my vacation.
All politeness is "fake", to a certain degree.
I'm not complaining about that or anything.
I'm saying I don't think Japanese are particularly friendly or warm, at least in comparison to other, more hospitable countries.
>All politeness is "fake", to a certain degree.
Autists truly think it's hard to be genuine don't they?
Where? I kinda dislike them in Bali
This is what happens when you see everyone as internet caricatures.
I'm saying all politeness is "fake" to a certain degree, therefore it's stupid to complain about it being "fake" in the first place. It's more pleasant than real rudeness after all.
>I'm saying all politeness is "fake" to a certain degree
Autist
NSW, nearly all the locals i've met had been nice and helpful.
I think it's part of the very definition of politeness that it doesn't reflect your true opinion or emotion; otherwise it'd be actual care or love.
Maybe only bogans go to Bali
Jesus Christ you're a dumb chinkposter. Didn't I just say feigned civility is nicer than real rudeness?
Its because Thailand and Bali are our go-to tourist hotspots for Australian jackasses. I'm sorry for the kinds of Aussies you see there.

FYI, you Brits on the other hand, are fucking absolute racist cancer who think ching chong pong is a friendly greeting to people from asia.
what's worse is brits are ridiculously sensitive to any criticism thrown at them meanwhile they love to laugh at other cultures and even take pride in their vulgar tradition of telling offensive jokes under the name of muh sacred and inviolable british humour
>FYI, you Brits on the other hand, are fucking absolute racist cancer who think ching chong pong is a friendly greeting to people from asia.
Couldn't handle the banter, Ching chong pong?
