AMD Ryzen 7 1800X Linux Benchmarks

I think there are still some optimizations for GCC and Michael should have used Kernel 4.11.

Here the benchs: phoronix.com/vr.php?view=24219

Kernel compilation

>4.11
latest is 4.10.1, but him using 4.9 just shows how fucking retarded he his

But he used 4.10.0-9, not 4.9.

Nothing really new since gcc isn't favorable to Intel

This really shows what a beast Ryzen is when you utilize all the cores. Perf/clock is incredible.

But I can't play games on Linux.

Yeah but muh games muh Sup Forums

Just use KVM!

Go back to manchild.

BUT MAY GAEMS

why the fuck does it ship in a wooden crate?

When did Sup Forums become /v\? I mean, this thread has not as many replies as a gaming benchmark thread, still the sticky has Stallman and we are supposed to be informed tech users...

Sup Forums has been Sup Forumseddit 2.0 since fucking always

What on earth are you on about?

What is known about ryzen and virtualization?

How is the version he uses relevant? He's building the same sources on all processors.

since the start.

It's a x86 CPU with IOMMU support.
The End

Absolutely crushing it (the the Xeon E3's are the closest equivelants of Intel desktop lineup)

Those are not games

Nobody needs that shit everyone plays games

>Here is the cool part for those programmers reading, 8 core/ 16 thread Ryzen 7 1700X is equivalent to $730-$770/ month of AWS compute using the c4.4xlarge and c4.8xlarge instances as guideposts.

Do you want to see the GPU bottlenecked results where intel and amd are on par or the sligthly worse amd results at 768p?

They only thing i want to see is single core performance benchmark :)

>advertise it as a gaming CPU
>it sucks for gaming

You gaymen children don't have money for a $500 gaming CPU much less $1000 unless you steal your mom's credit card.

>advertise it as a gaming CPU
source?

...

>everyone plays games
Speak for yourself manchild

>mane

kek

Except it doesn't

video games fgt

Terrible marketing, as expected of AMD.
Good thing it does real good at workstation work, even against a 6950X in some cases.

Cryptography perf seems to be nice, like real nice, must fit in the caches.

>complains about ryzen 7 for not being as good for gaming
>ignores the fact they still haven't shown off their quad core lineup
